      We signed up for their lawn service in July. We have a new house in new area and needed help having the grass grow. They came out the first day and discussed the treatment plan which was 6 visits w/aeration and overseeding. I was told the aeration wasn't going to be until they can seed which was Sept/October. 20 minutes later, someone shows up while we were gone from the house to aerate. That was an unexpected visit. I called and asked about it. They said that they went ahead and scheduled that but didn't note what kind of seeding we needed as they didn't know what type of grass we had. Trugreen sent someone out for a "free service" to determine what type of grass and we were told they fertilized and sprayed weed killer again. The next visit which was another treatment for weeds, they only did the front yard due to a "locked gate". our gate doesn't lock and my husband was home. They never attempted to knock or open those gates as we have security cameras. They came out for another "free service". On sept 27th, called to see what type of service I was supposed to be getting the next day. It was another treatment. Asked when they were going to be coming out for the actual seeding, i was told I didn't sign up for that. After proving that I did, they scheduled it for 09/29. They sent notification that the rep was on his way, then said the appointment was cancelled. I called on 09/30 and was told they were coming out for a "free service" on 10/04. I called on 10/03 and was told it was another aeration appointment. I asked when they would be seeding and was again told i didn't sign up for that. I told her I wanted to speak to a manager and the rep said she didn't feel comfortable escalating it up to a manager since I didn't know what they were going to do yet she didn't feel comfortable getting in the middle of it by saying yes or no to the seeding since it wasn't in the appointment notes. So here I am, $600+ with dead grass and no idea if they are actually going to do it

      Thank you for your feedback!  A member of the local branch team visited this customer's property and determined they have a fescue lawn, and will need aeration and seeding in the fall.  Our aeration and seeding crew completed the service last week, and the corporate care team confirmed satisfaction with the customer. We have updated the account so going forward the aeration and seeding will be done during the correct time of year, and will follow up with the customer in about 3 weeks to check on seed germination.

      We have taken such pride in our yard and take care of it like a manicure....until True Green got ahold of it. We've had weeds that come up, ok we can deal with that. But when we hired them for an aeration, they ripped into our wet yard and it looks like the grounds of a state fair. Ruined grass, brown, dried plugs all over and completely destroyed. We put new sod over the yard 3 years ago and it was so perfect until we hired them. We called to complain and they said there is nothing they can do about it. So our only recourse is to write this HONEST review of what a terrible business they are. DON'T HIRE THEM! They have NO CLUE what they are doing and it will be too late for you. This is not a grievance against anything personal, we have paid our bills ahead of time, they just don't know how to take care of a basic yard.

      A member of the local branch team evaluated the customer's lawn, and let them know about our policy to repair lawns when we have grub control breakthrough.  We will be doing a free aeration and seeding this fall, and then follow up with a slit seeding if needed next spring.  The customer was satisfied with this response.  ****************** Team will work with local management to get this scheduled for the customer.

      Total rip off. I pre-paid for the season for four applications. They put down my fourth application in September and charged me for it and said I only pre-paid for three applications. Spoke with their customer care department and supervisor and this is the story they are sticking with. I have used this lawn care service over a decade. I know what I get and what I pay for. Did not leave a bill at the front door or any messaging. If I didnt go through my **** statement with a fine tooth comb I never wouldve found this charge. Their response is that I only prepaid 3 apps. Also I added on a service which was grub control. Got charged for that the first week of June and they didnt apply the service until 10 to 12 weeks later. And instead of spreading out my four treatments throughout the season they were applying them arbitrarily every 4 to 5 weeks. Who finishes lawn applications by the Fourth of July?Never going back to Trugreen. Nothing but a headache all year. They outright lie.

      The worse company to deal with. Come to your ********** then leave never doing any work. Always apologize but never resolve the problem or do the work. No problem taking your money and impossible to cancel or get your money back

      They are terrible. No customer service out all managers are terrible too. They let there employs rip off the customers. That's all I have to say.

      The original agent I worked with was very persistent with sales calls until I finally gave in and said sure lets do it. He gets me scheduled and I am able to create an online account. They dont come out on the day they scheduled me, canceled on me for unknown reason. I call to ask when theyre coming out, customer service is extremely rude and say they dont know when and to check my online account. I am suddenly locked out of online account for several days I call again to have everything canceled they said they will but then reschedule me again after I had just called to cancel ??????? so I had make several calls to hopefully have everything canceled now. Terrible and incompetent customer service(and why is everyone answering the calls black??) I am very glad I never paid for any services upfront and after reading how some peoples lawns were killed off by them I am very happy they didnt get to come out!! Now Im really hoping they dont try to come back again! Just terrible before they even began the service! Maybe Im a lucky one. Never again.

      I had tru green service my lawn. Despite spending over $1000 in water, I gave dead grass throughout the lawn. When I tried to have someone come out to assess, all calls fell in vain. They are the most disreputable company I've ever encountered.

      A member of the local management team evaluated the property. The customer did have damage to the lawn due to chinch bugs.  We had someone treat the property earlier this week with an insecticide to help control any active chinch bugs, and will have someone out next week to reseed the damage spots. A member of the ************** Team will continue to follow up with the customer to make sure they are satisfied.

      This is a HORRIBLE SERVICE. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT USE THEM. They don't give you the right service. They lie to you about pricing. The techs half a** the work. Bad bad bad!

      Damaged my yard, will not call back or repair the major damage they have done. Called their phone number, which only goes to a national call center number. They send messages to the ********* location, but they will not respond, it has been over 2 weeks.

      Called Tru Green to get a quote for services for my ****** sq ft. lawn and after 10 minutes of fast talking, "******" would not send me the quote via email. All his fast comments about weed treatment, grubs, plugging, etc. etc. he came up with a cost of $1,864 for one season of treatments. He immediately wanted my credit card number. When I again asked for the detail charges via email. "******" quickly told me they only quote and do business over the phone, and said "have a good day" and he hung up before I could say a word.I called the number back, was told I was being transferred to **************** and was on hold listening to the music, waiting for someone to answer for over 18 minutes and still was not able to reach anyone.Strange and risky way to do business.

      A member of the ************** Team reached out to this customer.  We apologized for how they were treated by the sales representative.  **************** stated he spoke with a local manager about the experience he had.  At this point, he does not want anything else to do with Trugreen.  We let him know that we do have an internal do not contact list, and I would make sure to put his information on it.
