This is in regards to your Dollar General in Cabot Arkansas 651 S Pine ST
My family was in a store paying for our grocery and my 12 year old son was behind us and had his own money, my wife and I walked out of the store to put our bags in the vehicle while my son was still in finishing paying for his stuff. As soon as we walk out the store, one of the key holders came out behind the office door and accuse my son of stealing a bottle of water which he clearly had the receipt for, she had to been watching the camera so she knew that is parents where present, she had no right to confront my minor so for no reason without talking to his parents. This is not okay and I will definitely not let it be okay. My wife came back in the store to speak to the lady which I assume she was a key holder because she was in the safe, a guy came out and was rude to my wife and act like he did not care about the situation she asked for the district manager name and number he refuse to give it to her and tried to get ahead of her by reaching out to the district manager before she could. This is very unacceptable behavior from a key holder and a member of your store management team. Discriminating against a minor black kids and asking to review a receipt without taking the proper steps to review a camera or even going into the system to see if the bottle of water was paid for before accusing a black kid of stealing something is not okay. I witnessed something @ the schillenger rd. store in Mobile today that I've never experienced in my life at any retail store, ever!
I've never seen a manager of a retail store close down the oNly self checkout register & have a cash only line & a cashier on one register at 5:30 pm. during the very busiest time of the day.
I had waited in line for 10 min. when the lady in from of me began to empty her cart for checkout she had like $100 worth of items & when the cashier handed her her receipt and said thanks & expected the lady to then put all of her items back into the cart & just go away I suppose because they had NO bags?
When the lady asked the cashier to please help her solve this very significant problem the cashier apologized & basically told her it was out of her hands, so the lady told her how ridiculous this was to spend all this time & money & have no way to carry her items & asked for the mgr.
a person stepped out to address the situation whilst 7-9 customers are standing there watching this entire debacle happening & the manager chose to escalate the situation even further by flatly refusing to either charge a box of TRASH BAGS to carry her items in, OR to go to the stock room & Find a box OR to even walk her to her car and help her, NOTHING..
After several minutes of extraordinarily unprofessional bickering with her, then refused to move from the line until the mgr. addressed the matter like a professional or even a pretend one. He then told her SHE was holding up his line by refusing to carry her items out.
customers began to walk out shaking thier heads & then finally I had had enough & put my items down & also began to walk out but not before asking the mgr. if indeed he was "the mgr." & he but his lower lip as of to think about his answer for a second & then said, "yeah, I'm the mgr." & I told him
that this lady is 100% correct & that mgrs. SOLVE problems, NOT pour gas on them.
he was still arguing with her when I finally walked out.

I visited a Dollar General on Elm St. in Wyandotte, MI. It happened to be early in the morning between 10-10:30 am. At that time I was the only shopper in the store. When I went to check out only register available was a self checkout with no store employee around. I began to ring up my items and the last item kept adding another and another until I hit the stop button on the register. I looked for help and found no one available. I pushed the help light and waited and again no person came to assist. I walked around only to find a ***** *** vendor who went to look for a employee and found her in the office. Needless to say she was very unhappy with the need to do her job and RUDELY told me to use another register. I explained I was worried about being charged on this register and she yelled "I told you to use another register' you won't be charged. Well, I did as she said and I paid $10.87 and was also charged $55.08 from the jammed register.
I phoned Corporate Offices and have been given the run around as well. First time, I was given a Case number and told someone would get back to me. I haven't heard from anyone so I phoned back. The person I spoke to told me there was no case number. Again, I was given another case number and assured she would expedite to upper management. This has been a very frustrating experience. I have tried to reach the store as well but have not been able to speak to anyone.Dollar General

I visited the Dollar General store located in Sulphur LA. When I entered the store I was I could not have my purse with me because someone prior had just left the store with a purse similar to my size purse that was stealing. When I asked why there was no sign on the door about bringing in a purse or large purse the manager said she was working on creating one. I explained to them that I felt this was stereotyping. The manager proceeded to argue with me and told me if I didn't like it I could shop elsewhere. When I stated I would reach out to the corporate office she said she did not care for me to call them and proceeded with her name and their number. When I said I was going to shop there she tried patronizing me and said thanks for your business. My daughter and I could hear her on the phone in the back about the incident. I was livid and did use a few choice words. After I checked out I waited an additional 10 minutes in the parking lot to see if any signage would be aced on the door and it was not. I took time-stamped pictures for proof. I really feel like I was racial profiled and stereotyped. I made a complaint with customer care and received a case number. I've made two calls regarding this and was told the District Manager Mrs. C******* would call me and no call back yet. I was then told the Regional manager would call in a couple of hours or 0by the end of the day and yet again NO call back. I'm starting to think Dollar General condones stereotyping. I have a new phone and when I try to login to the app using my phone number and password it requires me to verify through a code sent to my email. I have been waiting for over an hour and no code. Been on the phone with customer service and they can’t do anything but reboot which doesn’t help and emailing the digital team doesn’t get you a code or help. It shouldn’t be this difficult to access your own account.Dollar General

I was short changed due to being in conversation with the ladie on the register. I asked for 20 cash back and she rang me up and bagged my items. I left not thinking anything and got to work and didn't have the money. Called and ask to see the surveillance footage and if there till was off. They said there till wasn't off and I was mistaken. Pay your employees better or don't hire thieves.Dollar General

1 starDollar General adds are a joke. They don't ring up sale price even though the sale price goes through a certain date. They say the computer is not ringing up sale price and they do not offer it to be sale price. Something needs to be done. Be sure to watch what they charge you.Review fromAngela C

5 starsThis review is about Jim N***** who is a manager at the Princeton Texas Dollar General and also assistant manager Miss Stephanie D*******. I go into this store about 3 to 4 days a week during the morning shift and is always them too, working diligently and very hard at stocking. They are very very good at it. The kindness that is shown to me and the Very light-heartedness makes my shopping experience quite natural. I absolutely adore Stephanie. We do talk about some things and I can tell she actually cares. Always, and I mean always has a smile on her face. That is something to watch. I want to thank you Stephanie for being so kind and allowing my soul to be at peace when I shop at your store. And Mr jim, this guy, this guy! Again, always extremely busy and not just throwing things around but the store shelves are stopped and in order. That's definitely a showstopper for me if a store doesn't have people to want to take care of the store. He is also a jolly good already gentleman. Anytime I have ever ever needed anything, that man stops what he's doing and helps me out with heart. I feel the need to thank these two people, and also a want. 1 starIbotta is extra greedy and no longer allowing customers to submit their paper receipts from Dollar General. They are requiring you to link an account. This is overreach on their part. Other apps are not so stringent. I have been able to get cash back easier and faster from other apps. They have very little cash back offers and it takes me a very long time to reach the 20 dollar minimum to cash out. I really dislike this app and am about to uninstall it. Its very frustrating. They need to bring back the paper receipt submissions again.
