The Better Business Bureau's role in the marketplace is to ensure the public's confidence in advertising and promote trust in business.

On April 30, and July 25, 2012 the Better Business Bureau sent certified correspondence to Aqua Pools, Ponds and Playthings questioning the claim "the best/lowest delivered price" and "Direct Wholesale Priced Above Ground Pools".

BBB's Code of Advertising states, "The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertisers. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any claims or offers made before publication or broadcast, and upon request, present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or the Better Business Bureau."

BBB has requested the company's voluntary cooperation in providing documentation that supports the advertised claims.

The company responded to BBB by modifying claims and this issue has been closed as resolved.
