Worst customer ever. They only hire foreign call centers for customer support. They send out one star yelp who dont fix anything and then threaten you if you leave negative reviews. F this company and anyone who does business with them.American Home Shield

HORRIBLE service from contractor, due to AHS hiring incompetant applicance company. They caused a leak that ruined kitchen floor. ************************ not taking responsibility, CANT get ahold of anyone in charge at AHS, cancelling my policy . You only talk to outsourced persons with no authority. DO NOT BUY FROM AHSAmerican Home Shield

Don't do business with American Home Shield. Their policy restrictions are innocuous and in my case, totally ngates any coverage for the failure of my AC unit. The description of coverage in their policy plan summary does not adequately explain what the company DOES NOT cover. You don't know that until you file a claim. This smacks of bait and switch technique with the policy standards of AHS. No wonder the company has only earned a B rating over many years. The vendor the company sent to test my failed AC unit informed me, before the fact, that AHS would deny my service request even before I received the notification from AHS. AHS did just that. The tech said to me to expect the rejection because that's the way the company works. Even the tech didn't know what a "geothermal system" is and why AHS would deny a repair request because my system requires three filter driers. He knew instantly that AHS would deny coverage from his experience working with service requests from AHS specially since his diagnosis and testing found multiple leaks in the coil unit and the requirement of three new filter driers, among other replacement parts. Evidently, this is standard operating procedure for the company.I will be sending this documentation and notes from this technician to the Commissioner of the Department of Insurance in **********, along with the notice of denial of my service request. Interesting by its omission is the failure of AHS to fully describe in its policy any and all aspects of what is not covered in the policy. If you read closely WHAT IS COVERED you will see a direct contradiction of WHAT IS NOT COVERED. Note: geothermal systems and parts relatred to geothermal systems ARE covered. This bait and switch technique is unlawful.American Home Shield

We are getting the run around with paying towards our air conditioner repair, its been over a week and were in ******* with 95 degree temperatures and everyday its one more day. Their customer ********************** is overseas and very limited knowledge and very difficult to understand. Dont waste your time and money on this service. Once we resolve this issue were canceling our $179 month service. Totally unacceptable and frustrating.American Home Shield

I am beyond frustrated with American Home Shield. In January, you repaired a leaking pipe, only for the same pipe to leak again in May. Now, you claim it is not covered because the original repair was not done correctly, despite it being your responsibility. Your customer ********************** has been absolutely useless in resolving this issue.I followed your arbitration instructions as outlined in the contract, yet my request has been ignored. 7 times they sent a person to repair my refrigerator, since the beginning on May or this year, and 3 of the most recent visits were no shows, cost me 2 days pay waiting for someone who never showed. I should have never have had to go round and round with this company, and I am actually paying for this!American Home Shield

I wish I could give 0 stars, I want to complain and let anyone that reads this that this company is a nightmare. I have paid for it for three years and only two times calling. They have left me with no washing machine. The customer ********************** is horrible, they hang up on you and dont solve anything. They tell me I have to wait 21 business days just to know if the parts are available which they have stated they will not because they dont make them anymore. I have to go all the time to laundromats and figure what to do because I have two small children and we need clean clothes. Make sure you dont fall in their trap like me. I will file another complaint with the BBB and make sure everywhere in the social media world is aware of this company which Im sure many of us are aware of the ****! This is only to notify me if they will get the parts or not. I have been told by the rude representative that after that they will need to get an authorization if they have to change my appliance. Theres nowhere I can complain or anybody else I could talk to since she refused to let me speak to anybody else and just finished the call.American Home Shield

I'm the type to be quite forgiving of problems that arise with businesses that at least seem to be making a decent effort, and I'm not the type to write bad reviews online. However, American Home Shield engages in what I think must be outright illegal business practices since the passage of the consumer protection laws in 2009 by ****** not the least of which is they actively slow-roll and interfere with you even being able to cancel your policy with them. I'm astounded at how bad their services were given what I paid for and at how clearly they mistreated me during the two-week period where I was trying to cancel my policy with them. I was a mistreated customer for four years, so you can't say I didn't try. Horrible business.American Home Shield

I've been dealing with *** about a claim for two months now and they still giving me the run around about parts being shipped. During this process they have been collecting my money every month and double the monthly fees within two years. I call everyday and it's still the same, we're trying to track the part. All the pain and suffering my Family going through in these hot weather trying to adjust. I started this claim in April and it is the middle of June. I've talked to Customer ********************** so many times and they been so lost with what's going on. Last I've heard the part has been with Hospitality Heat and Air since May 29 and I still haven't been taken care of. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. I have faithfully paid every month over five years or more and I've went from 55 dollars a month to ****** a month. I was told I had to pay ******* out of pocket and still don't know why but paid it and still going through. I feel I have no choice but to take legal action because my Family going through h*** in this heat and we have done nothing but be faithful. It may be another month but tired and done reaching out. No stars. This company is a ****. They steal your money and don't cover any repairs. When they do send someone out that breaks something, they won't cover that repair even though it is in their contract. There should be a class action against this company.American Home Shield
