      I pay about $60/month for American Home Shield. When I need service on a covered item, they charge $107.00 to my credit card they have on file. I had water damage on a bathroom ceiling. First, I called Allstate, my homeowners insurance whose agent said water on ceiling was coming from ** unit in attic, and he said the ** has a switch that is supposed to cut off the ** if unit has too much condensation, and that tube from ** felt wet. So I called AHS and they sent out Payless Heating and Air from *******, **. I told him what agent said, he took a nitrogen tank to attic ; above bathroom with leak on ceiling. I told him the Allstate agent said he thought unit probably needed a switch to turn off ** if too much water. He said switch was covered by my Platinum plan. When he left he called me from his car and wanted my credit card number to pay for switch, I declined to use credit card but mailed him a check that day. That night we had no **, I called AHS and spoke to supervisor of agent who said I didnt have to pay for parts to fix the ** because my HV** units were fully covered, she said you mean to say, you paid him out of your own pocket!! So I put stop payment. AMS said they would send him back, and to call him, he was surprised that I called with same problem and came out second time and reason he took several days was because his daughter in hospital. Went into attic again and said cleared out drain which must not of cleared out first time. Said he had to use new transformer. Said no charge. ** worked overnight then next day stopped again. I called AHS and said send someone else, I had to buy window ** for one bedroom and an 80 cooler for other room, but granddaughters who live with me have had to sleep downstairs in Living room due to no ** and very high temperatures upstairs. AHS said would get second opinion and offer cash out if couldnt fix, would call me today. No call. Ive called them twice. Recording said twice would call back. No calls, Im upset

      I had this company for years I hardly use it and the contractors they get now might fake or unprofessional.I had somebody coming to my place to fix my ice maker and washer, 3 weeks later nothing has been done I called back American Home Shield to speak to a manager and they told they dont have a Manager ?? there is no number where you can call and complain. I am waiting for the original contractor company to call me back, I had waisted my whole day and nothing is been done.

      AHS!!! I don't know why you do business with these 2 stars and below companies! An we as the consumer have to suffer because of it!!! WHY does it take 3 visits to correct a problem??? WHY???? You know your in trouble when the technician tells you " OH I'LL BE BACK". What is that about?? WHY. We pay YOUR company a fair price for a piece of mind with repairs at our homes. An you deal with low budget companies. WHY???? you will be losing me as a customer!!!! Enough is enough, and I have had enough!!!!!

      I want to start by saying that I have been an American Home Shield Customer for ************************************************************************************************************************************************* a few of the telephone operators have been nice. I have had a few issues this summer, leaking pipe, stopped toilet and now my air conditioner is out. We have had repair people who won't return calls, do not submit the work orders and do not fix the problems. I have been without air conditioning in ******* (July weather) for two weeks and the same reponse from the call center is we are waiting for the technician to submit his diagnosis. You cannot speak to a manager because they cannot transfer you, they only read from a script. So, I am writing this after paying my ***** fee for the service, paying my yearly contract fee for 19 years and still no air. This past year American Home Shield has not been the same company, customer ********************** is lacking, repairs do not get completed or take 2 weeks or longer to complete (leaking pipe over 2 weeks). This is the most frustrating expereince I have had . I do not expect the manager to call me because they don't it is just really bad service. It is a shame because it used to be a good company.

      I wish I could give zero stars. I never usually review but our experience with them has been abysmal at best. We have had a broken oven since april and after having a repair guy out 4 times who finally declared it was not able to be fixed and now american home shield wont help us. We routinely call 3-4 times a week only to be placed on hold and disconnected every single time. this warranty has been useless to us.
