      After having Home Shield for over three years, I called them to cancel my account because they continued to **** up their prices, doubling the monthly payment without notification. I had to change my debt card to block them from continuing to extract payments even after I cancelled. Now they constantly harass by email, texts, and phone calls. Every time I talk to them, I tell them I have canceled. It doesn't do any good. They continue to send emails.Your American Home ShieldHome Warranty account is past due. To avoid any lapse in your coverage and further collection attempts, please do the following:Log in to MyAccount to make changes to your payment information and to pay your past due amount. They will not stop.

      I recently requested service for my 91 year old mother's AC unit on Thursday morning at 6 am. It has been 100 plus the last few days. I reached out to the assigned service contractor, but no answer and mailbox is full. I trying calling back later, while calling them they called me. I explained that my mother was elderly, but they couldn't give me a definite time they would be able to look at her unit. Fast forward Friday night no one has been to her house or called. I reached out to AHS, they told me to call back Saturday morning at 8 am. I called AHS Saturday, but they were unable to reach the technician, but told me to wait until Monday for a response because my 91 year mother's situation wasn't deemed urgent. I couldn't wait until Monday in hopes their assigned technician would stop by. My sister and I found someone to service her AC. American Home Shield response was unsatisfactory and cost us spending money out of our pocket that should have been covered under the warranty she pays for each month. Poor customer **********************.

      Service was prompt and fixed the problem with my AC. Technician was courteous and fixed the problem. Love American Home Shield.

      Do not waster your money on American Home Shield Warranty. I have been without Air Conditioning for over a month in ***** Heat. It took them a month to try and locate a vendor to service my home and finally approving me to use a outside vendor after contacting them daily for a status. Now, they are giving my vendor the run around. This company is a complete scam and please do not waste your money. It I could give them a negative rating, I would.

      I had a pipe leak claim initiated on March 7th and the leak was fixed. However, the repair required the ceiling to be opened. They are responsible for closing the ceiling back up after the repair. I have since called and talked to them for more than 5 times. Each time I called, they said they will get back to me in 48 hours. And each time, I do not get a response. The last time I talked to them, they told me they cannot find a contractor to do dry wall repair and said they will send a check back to me the next day. And I am still waiting for that check. And it has been 10 days already. I am very disappointed since I live in ************, there is no excuse for not able to find a contractor in the whole of ************. The second reason why I find this upsetting is that it has taken over 4 months and still the issue is not resolved. Each time I called I was given the lip service. I would rather not having to waste my time waiting on the phone and repeating myself multiple times. I would avoid this company if responsiveness is high on your priority list.

      American Home Shield is slow to respond and does not live up to their contractual obligations. On 7/17/2022 our air conditioning compressor failed and our AC stopped working during the middle of the ******* summer with temperatures rising to 118F. It took 5 days for a contractor to be dispatched, only to diagnose the issue. During this time, I had a 3rd party respond and diagnose within 4 hours of my initial call. The 3rd party diagnosed the compressor and quoted $3500 to replace and repair the *** 3 days later, the contractor arrived, only to confirm the initial diagnosis. I was told at that time that it would be an additional 5-7 business days for repair. I contacted AHS to request emergency service as temperatures within my home exceeded 100F. There was no empathy or sense of urgency to resolve the issue and was only told that the part ordering department was closed and would not respond for an additional 2 days. According to the service contract, the repairs to my air-conditioned are fully covered, however they are delaying the repairs during excessive heat warnings, putting my family and my pets in danger. We don't have money to stay in a ********** board our pets, and are unable to afford costly cooling alternatives. This company does not care for it's customers and are unnecessarily putting customers in dangerous scenarios. I am at an absolute loss as I feel like I have no where else to turn. Goliath is definitely stepping on ***** in this circumstance.

      Response from AHS was prompt, referred to excellent electrician who solved the issue. Very satisfied with the quality of AHS service.

      I am extremely happy with American Home Shield for the promptness and also for ******** Air for coming out so fast and fixing the a/c. He was truly AMAZING and showed me that there really are good people still out there!

      I rarely write a review. But we have had such a horrible experience with American Home Sheild. I want other consumers to be aware. The first problem was our ice maker, I had to pay two separate times to finally get it repaired. The next issue was our central air unit. We also had to pay two separate fees. The first one reported no problem, the unit still did not work properly, the second report was we needed a new evap coil and would need 10 lbs of freeon (our unit completely empty will only hold 8 lbs) and the cost to us would be $1,600.00. I called and just got a complete run around. We decided to take the buyout option. Of course there payout was crazy low. They told me for there part of the repair and installation they would reimburse us $240.00. I called multiple times to get an explanation of why the payout was so low. No one could give me any answers or a breakdown. All I was told each time was, that's what the report says. This was a crazy process, I wasted a lot of time on the phone trying to get answers, and still did not get our unit repaired or replaced. We will never use American Home Sheild again.

      We called over two weeks ago to American Home Shield to report our refrigerator is out2 weeks ???? A contractor came out on Thursday (yesterday)and told us it was the compressor and had to order parts which would take an additional 2-3 weeks. Ive been with them for 5 years. Not once have weve been late on a payment. So in essence, Ive paid for the got **** refrigerator! American Home Shield has no regards that I have young children and an elderly mom in my home. They expect me to continue to live out of a cooler, while they continue to take my monthly payments and wait for a work order to be put through the chain of command. Mind you, its a thousand degrees outside! I couldnt even speak to a supervisor directly! They had to put in a work order for ******************** to call me back in ***** hours; to tell me to wait, some more ?????? you cant make this s*** up!!!! Do Not use them!!!! Theyre thieves! Its no reason I pay for insurance and have to wait over a month for a refrigerator issue to be resolved. Dont even get me started on how I waited 2 months for my water pump to be replaced! I am Not a happy camper right now!!!
