The worst car insurance company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Their self pay portal is constantly broken And the due dates are constantly wrong leading to missed payments. The phone I spoke to was extremely rude and even lied telling me I could make a payment over the phone when the site wasn't working. I had to hang up and speak to another representative who informed me I couldn't even make a payment and the Department of Endorsements would have to fix the issue so I could. Avoid this company if you can afford to go anywhere elseFirst Acceptance Insurance Company

I am a customer and am cancelling my insurance with them. My insurance was supposed to be 80$ a month and I simply wanted to transfer it over from my last car as it was being junked and I purchased a new one. The man who set me up with it was a scam artist and a liar who couldn’t tell me why he wanted to charge me over 45$ higher than my prior cost when I had a clean record and no changes in policy. He lied for over an hour and I poked holes in every excuse until finally when I asked him to break down price itemization, he said he had added renters insurance to my policy and was trying to hide that from me. He refused to tell me he added stuff without my knowing when I didn’t ask for it and told him no when he mentioned other insurances I said I just want my same insurance but transferred to a new vehicle. Thats it. Now after I finally was paying only 80$ a month, the renewal price 119$, they have tried charging me multiple times in two months a 119$ renewal fee and are lying again about why it raised all of a sudden with no changes to my policy. Two agents later, now they tell me an endorsement was made a month ago that raised it but refuse to tell me what it is or who made it and why. They are liars and crooks. Do NOT go here please.First Acceptance Insurance Company

I need to file a complaint! You can't reach anyone with this company. Their insured hit my parked car 2 weeks ago, and I still have yet to receive a rental car! I can't get in touch with ANYONE. They have the photos. The Adjuster never answers the phone. The voicemail says to press "0" to speak with someone, but it routes to the same voicemail of the adjuster that doesn't answer the phone!!
I didn't ask for this. It looks like the only way I will get my car repaired will be to go through my own insurance!First Acceptance Insurance Company

On 6/28 my vehicle was hit by a FA insurer. FA did not accept liability until 7/26 despite the police report and driver admission of fault. Per the 1st adj.policy needed clearing up with insured. He then advised me to take my car in for repairs asap. I get to the repair shop on 7/27 to find FA did not reach out to them. On 7/29 after calling the adjuster back regarding this misinformation, the adjuster sent a link for me to upload video documentation of my car. On 8/5 the 2nd adj. stated “there was nothing on file!” She was speaking over on me with an attitude of finality. She scheduled for someone to call to come out to my home. To prevent delay, I informed her of my fear of missing the call and gave permission for them to just go to my home she responded “you can tell them that when they call and you just to need to make sure you are available for the call!” No one ever called! On 8/8 3rd adjuster “found the case after it was closed.” She informed me that the inspector was cancelled on 8/5 and an estimate was on file. The adjuster was very annoyed by my detailed questions. After the estimate was finally received by the service shop, FA refused to pay upfront for towing. The adj. informed me of FA rental and service drop off days. I stressed the urge to start now as I’m off work. For the first month I ********* until 7/25! I provided her the rental info to take over the contract and give reimbursement. On 8/13 I was informed that I have an outstanding balance instead of a refund. I called in again, FA did not contract with Hertz per the 2nd adjuster at FA. This info was not shared on 8/5 or 8/8. After I called 2 ***** locations and told them I was reserved by FA my options were nonexistent to unacceptable. I was eventually told that FA only pays 28.24 per day which explains the lack of help. I left an updated message for the 2nd adj. On 8/14 she left a message stating that the “purpose of the rental was not to give me something of my liking, but to have a car”First Acceptance Insurance Company

Thank you for your comments. Our records indicate this claim was paid on August 15, 2024. Delays appear to have been caused by the vehicle being dropped off at a body shop without an estimate or the adjuster's knowledge. Additionally, if a claimant chooses a rental car provider other than our preferred partner, he or she may only be reimbursed up to the negotiated amount that would be paid to our preferred provider. If you have any additional questions, please call us at 800-779-2103. We're always happy to help!Dennice P.

Based on my review of FA on 8/15 their rebuttal was full of lies. I never dropped my vehicle off to the repair without a completed estimate from FA. On 7/26 the 1st adj. Brandon informed me that I could drop my vehicle off at the repair shop and noted that he will call. On 7/27 I attempted to drop my car off and was advised that FA never called and also misinformed me of process. I left with my vehicle. I spoke with Brandon on 7/29 and at this point I was highly annoyed, he apologized and agreed to forward a link for video documentation. On 8/5 I spoke with the 2nd adj Leslye who stated that there was nothing submitted on my file. She then insisted on scheduling an adjuster to come out. No one ever called, neither did anyone come out. On 8/8 I spoke with the 3rd adj. Sandra who noted that the estimate was completed on 8/5 based on the link that was completed the previous week. Sandra was unable to share why Leslye the 2nd adj. stated that nothing was submitted. Sandra also confirmed that the call I was waiting never happened because it was cancelled as the estimate was completed. I then requested a copy of the estimate in which the 3rd adj was very hesitant to provide. I had to get my repair shop service worker involved as Sandra also attempted to further delay the process by providing misinformation like previous two adj. Once the call was completed, my repair shop arranged for my vehicle to be towed from my house to the shop. In regards to my rental due to FA taking so long to process the claim, I could no longer continue to waste money on ***** and rented a car. This information was shared with Brandon, Leslye and Sandra. Sandra was given rental info per her request on 8/8. Leslye was also informed that I had a rental from another company on 8/5. Neither of them shared info regarding preferred company until I called in again on 8/13. Please do attempt to rebut a review with misinformation. This appears to be a standard of practice for your organization. HELP BBBReview fromDana D

Terrible customer service. Inept at communicating. Completely clueless agents who cannot answer questions. Left not knowing any more than when I called.
No thank you, I'd rather pay for better quality. Waiting for refund, though class action seems in order.First Acceptance Insurance Company

This company is simply horrible, I wish I could give them negative stars. I was hit by a client of First Acceptance. It went from bad to worst. I'm 57 widowed first responder. so i am not healing as fast as I used to. Now I was rear-ended getting off of the highway and police report shows that it was their clients fault along with her admittance. It took a month for them to accept liability and for me to get my car to a repair shop that would even deal directly with them. Now, I completely understand why. Secondly the adjuster are the worst to get in contact with. My car had additional damage and it took forever for them to reach an adjuster and approve additional payment so long story short. I had to pay for the rental upfront because they do not have an account with ********** and ***** didn't have any vehicles. It was 6 weeks before I got my car back due to lack of responding and slow payments made to the repair shop. The rental ended up being over $2000 and they had the nerve to say they would pay $225 because it was a 3 to 5 day job. Simply unbelievable. Additionally, after seeing how horrible that they were that I just used my own medical insurance for my back injuries. There was one person at the company that was responsive throughout the entire ordeal but he wasn't the one responsible for the payments or approving additional repairs. Thanks Matthew D********* for your patience and assistance. Its so sad that you were the only person they hired with customer service skills.First Acceptance Insurance Company
