We brought our 2014 ****** Prius into the shop for an oil change and an inspection. When we came to pick it up, it wouldn't start. Rob G****, the manager of the shop, said our car was inoperable due to an issue with the hybrid battery, and there was mention of a P3190 code ("check engine" light), which hadn't been there before we dropped the car off. We had to leave the car overnight because it wouldn't start, and Rob wasn't there to authorize an inspection. Next day we returned to speak with him to see if his technicians could look into it more - it's not crazy to wonder why our car ran fine for years only for it to be inoperable after it had been serviced at Firestone. To our surprise we were immediately met with hostility and defensiveness. He insisted again that our car was inoperable due to the hybrid battery and engine problems, and bragged that their service was perfect. He very reluctantly checked the oil and one of the technicians tried to jumpstart the battery to no avail. We were looking for solutions, anything, but Rob was very dismissive. So our only option was to tow the car to the dealership. He said the dealership would side with him. He also said "I expect an apology." We had our car towed to the dealership. As expected, Firestone's diagnosis was incorrect. The dealership discovered that the air intake boot connected to the air filter had been knocked loose. They tightened it, the car turned on, and the P3190 code disappeared. They said that a quick check under the hood would've solved the issue. I asked about the hybrid battery and they said it had no error codes, that the reason the car wouldn't start had NOTHING to do with the hybrid battery or a bad engine - it had solely to do with the loose intake boot connected to the air filter, causing no start. We have documentation that Firestone inspected the air filter. It doesn't become loose on its own, and the car was working fine before they serviced it.

Said they have a mark up on their parts and preceded to charge me 340$ for a 180$ wheel bearing. Labor charges where acceptable but 160$ mark up is a bit ridiculous won't be letting them touch my vehicle again

I took my vehicle to Firestone/Bridgestone Tires Plus on North Wickham Road in Melbourne, FL the end of January 2023. I explained that there was a noise that I was unable to identify. The tech rode with me; threw out a couple of possibilities of what the noise was. I was certain that none of these were the issue. I waited for a few hours to be told by the person at the desk that there were numerous issues with my car. He said that there were 2 that were a safety issue and the other issues were "recommended". The invoice showed transmission mounts replaced along with struts on both sides of the vehicle at a cost of $1750, I learned after the fact, and verified by the person who talked to me about the noise in the front end that he had misspoke and that it was not the transmission mounts but another part that was replaced that had to do with the transmission. I complained that my car was not repaired; that the noise was still there; and tried to get the portion of the invoice refunded which I was told "whatever amount you want I will give you to resolve this and make you happy". Once the store manager got involved; there was no resolution. He was rude and unprofessional including telling me that I "must be confused"...I am a senior and a woman. I have escalated this to the corporate office to be ignored for the past month by each division head. I was told yesterday that the case was closed even though no one called me. It is now open again and I am waiting for a call that will likely not happen. I have brought in the credit card company that I used to pay the invoice and they are trying to resolve this issue. If I had looked at the ratings and the reviews I would never have gone there. I recommend finding another auto repair company. I had two people stop me when I was there and told me they will never go back to this company. I regret not doing my due diligence and looking at their ratings and reviews.

Fort meade firestone diagnosed an issue with my car and said the part would be rushed. When it didnt arrive, they said it would be in Monday. Dropped my car off, called them an hour before closing. "It's not in yet, it should be here tomorrow." After waiting a week I went to a different business, but they refuse to refund the diagnostic charge of $150

I changed my Truck’s four tires and did my brake job at 500/330 Thruway Plaza Dr, Buffalo, NY 14225. The gentleman told me they could not just change the brake pads. They would have to change the rotor as well; I agreed. He said they could get the job done on the same day. Instead, they keep the truck for two additional days. After I got the truck, while driving brakes made a noise, I called them, and they kept the truck again for more than one day. They said the problem was driver’s side and was fixed. Now a similar situation on the passenger side of the truck. I called them, and they gave me an appointment one week later. They looked at it and told me I would have to change the calipers and flash the brake fluid. Anyway, I was there for the noise to stop when I drove as it appeared something was touching the rotor. That noise is not due to the caliper. Also, I think an improper brake job damages the Truck’s caliper. If the caliper problem existed, why did they not tell me when they did the brake job in the first place? Replacements were done at 144,969 miles, and the truck now has approximately 150,000. Being out of town could not come earlier. They did nothing to fix the noise on the passenger side. Instead, they brought to my attention additional estimates and wanted to charge 87 labor fees + parts to replace one headlight bulb. This was yet another horrible experience and much of a time-wasting. I will have to look elsewhere for solutions to the problem they created. They are unprofessional and cannot be trusted. They took too much money and did not do the job right; their unskilled job created more damage. They won’t take responsibility for the trouble and damages they caused. Also, Fire stone advertises lies on their website as they say FIXED RIGHT - FALSE, PRICED RIGHT -FALSE, RIGHT ON TIME – a complete deception.

Incompetence at it's finest! Machesney Park Illinois Firestone - DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE! Tried to pull the wool over on my son - little did they know he is a diesel mechanic and knows cars. Wanted to charge $1100.00 for an issue that was a $360.00 fix. The amount they wanted to charge wouldn't have even fixed the problem. They wouldn't even test drive his vehicle because they were "afraid" that the car would stall so they decided to just drive it around the parking lot and told him that they couldn't find the issue it was brought in for but we think you should have this other problem fixed - that "might" be your issue! No effort to diagnose just quick to create a problem and charge a crap ton of money! What a bunch of buffoons!
I got an oil change and they failed to put the engine cover back on the engine. Lesson learned on my part - open your hood and make sure everything looks right. I didn't notice it until my next oil change. Called the store and instead of making an effort to see who's engine cover was laying around - they tossed it! It would not have been that difficult to determine who it belonged to, not to mention just a phone call or two on their part. We were told that if they have parts laying around at the end of the week everything gets tossed. Frightening to hear that they have parts laying around. We aren't talking about a used oil filter. This cover is the size of a small coffee table. RUDE RUDE RUDE managers. I had to walk away before I did something I would regret! Still waiting for a call from the district manager. I was told it would be two business days and still nothing. It has literally been 4-5 weeks since I called their corporate office. I had to replace the engine over in the amount of $210.00. DO NOT let those thousands of dollars in fancy tools and tool boxes fool you - they are obviously there for decoration only.

I called and made an appointment for 10am and I was told I could be fit in. I got there on time and waited 8 hours for an oil change and for them to check the windshield fluid pump which they still did not do. I received my oil change free of charge but I felt like that's the least they could do after I spent my entire day waiting on a service that could've been done in 30 mins. Unfortunately, this is common with this Firestone but this is the first time I'd have to wait this long and the only excuse I kept getting was that they were busy, if that's the case what was the point of the appointment?? I won't be returning to this Firestone.
Update: it has been two weeks and no one has reached out to me to rectify the situation. I guess they believe I’m supposed to forget and let it go. I’ve contacted the person who responded to my comment twice and filled out their customer survey and still haven’t received a follow up.

I'm really upset and I'm trying to keep the words nice on here. I have been going to firestone for a couple months and even though cars are always going to mess up whether you have new or used and stuff is going to need maintenance or stuff is going to break on its own, everytime I get one or two things fixed at firestone I feel like the purposely mess something up so you will pay them to fix other stuff. That's how I feel, I don't want to falsely accuse, but I took my car in Saturday because I felt grinding when accelerating thinking it was the wheel bearing. They called me and said the wheel bearings were fine, but that they suggested my car get a coolant flush, brake fluid flush, alternator belt replaced, oil change even though it wasn’t due, front brakes and rotors done so I did. Well my car wasn't leaking when I took it in Saturday and it is now leaking a lot of fluid. I would be careful going to firestone because like a lot of mechanics, they damaged it. I'm not sure if it was an accident or on purpose but everytime I take my car to firestone something else gets messed up that wasn't messed up before.

Tiresplus Galleria in Sparks has terrible service. We are long time customers and have 5 vehicles, the person we used to deal with is not available in stores anymore and he was awesome. Now this guy Troy is always turning us away he doesn't want to do any work and he doesn't keep appointments scheduled either. We have a classic vehicle we were told over the phone they could do the work no problem never mentioned trouble getting parts we take it in for the appointment they call us back say they cant do it they cant get parts anywhere and its going to be thousands of dollars which is a lie we got quotes from other places. Then our daughter had an appointment to have work done she was quoted 650 for all the work. She took her car in after making an appointment they turned her away said they didn't have time that day after all, she had to wait days to take it back then they told her it would be 1400 for all the work after telling her 650 on the phone so only half of the work got done. When she went in Troy was very rude to her talked down to her belittled her in front of everyone. This guy should not be running a store or working there he has turned us away for work we know they can do on more than one occasion. We will no longer use them for our vehicles. They don't keep their word, appointments, or integrity.
