This is for a parking garage. Charged $15.99 and $0.99 on 11/9/24, then two charges 11/11/24 $15.99 and $37.88.I only parked there 11/9/24 but since they have my credit card number they billed me fraudulent charges. I am being charged $70.85 for a little over 1 hour of parking when the listed price is $15 the whole day. Contacted customer service to no help.Business Response

Post signs in lot are $6 per half hour. Parked there to visit a local shop. Used the app. Was charged for 16 hours. Contacted customer service who stated that was a minimum. This is not posted anywhere. This is deceptive pricing and advertising. They seem to rely on no one being able to do anything about it.Business Response

Date: 11-7-2024 Amount: $10 Complaint: I parked in the *********************, went to the ***********, and received parking validation from *****. Metropolis has changed from a ticket system to a license plate reader. I have a temporary tag on my vehicle, and had to return to the garage and back to ***** to give them the tag number for validation. Also, cell coverage in the garage is poor, so I was unable to connect to the companies app to input information while in the garage. Upon exit, the gate would not open, and there was no attendant there to help. Once he arrived, he informed me I was 1-2 minutes over my time. This delay was partially Metropolis' responsibility. I asked him to let me out, and I'd happily take a ticket and dispute it later. He forced me to pay on the spot to let me out. Then, I emailed Metropolis support and asked for a refund. There response was to not give me a refund and claim that they have no responsibility in this delay.Business Response

On October 31st I parked in the ********** in *********, ** operated by Metropolis. I scanned the ** code of the business I was visiting, which the business told me would give me one hour of free parking. The ** code took me to Metropolis's website where I was automatically signed up for 24 hours of parking for a total charge of $26.25, which I did not even find out I was charged until November 1st, when my parking "expired." I stayed in the parking lot for less than one hour. There was no other option on Metropolis's website, other than the automatic 24 hours of parking it enrolled me in immediately upon scanning their ** code.Business Response

This incident happened in ********** but this is the only BBB listing I could find. I entered a Ralphs with a parking validation system and got a receipt which validated the parking. After leaving the Ralphs, I reparked at a lot below to go to ******. When leaving target, despite getting my receipt validated, I ended up getting a fine. I have been in direct contact with Metropolis Payments for the past two weeks and after back-and-forth and horrible communication, I was told I have to pay my parking fine. This is outrageous considering there were no posted signs about rates and the validation should have applied, but did not. I have mentioned this multiple times to Metropolis only to receive the same response back.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I have the receipt attached here that was shown to the employee handling validation. That employee saw the receipt and told us to enter our license plate. I recall having issues entering my entire license plate into the system ********* and the employee entered "9D" and told us that it was validated. Despite employee confirmation, I was still forced to pay $11 for parking. This is an issue on the parking system end especially with an automated system, as my license plate was not being accepted by the system at all. In addition, no posted rates were given so I was not informed of how much the parking was going to cost.
Sincerely,
Aedan MBusiness Response

I parked at ******************* on 10/27, and scanned the parking QR code. It took me to a page to select how long I was parking for, and for me to supply my phone number and license plate number. I selected 15 minutes since I just needed to pick up my wife from the train. It was to be about $2.00.Later that day, I checked my receipt, and saw a charge for $9.49, which I verified on my credit card web page. After a LOT of digging on *************************, I found a place to open a ticket on the matter. The reply I got back was that the charge was for a declined payment on 7/7/24 in ***********. I haven't been in the state of ********** since 2019, so I certainly wasn't trying to park there. In my opinion, this business should get poor marks since they make it nigh on impossible to contact them about a billing issue. No posted phone number or address on their site, and very hard to find a place to enter a dispute. In addition, their handling of the dispute I raised was both cursory and incorrect.Business Response

It is regarding a "Parking Violation" However we were instructed to park in the area provided. We were also instructed to cut thru the traffic circle where a ** Code was (supposedly present) to pay for parking, and we did not even have the opportunity to see the ** code. There was also no ** code present in front of the spot I was told to park. Also, the time stamp on the pictures of my car were taken at 8:00pm, however the picture they attached of the ** code was taken at 7:33pm. All of this feels like it was a **** to get money. The ticket fee is $75.00 (after Monday 10/28) and $60.00 if I pay before then, which I am not comfortable paying.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:The complaint was never resolve. The company could not find the violation number because I paid the early fee of $60.00 rather than $75.00 because they did not reposed to me and I did not want to pay $75.00, or risk charges on my record. They also failed to explain why the ticket was shoved UNDER the hood of my car, on the passaged side, rather than on the drivers side window. The ticket could have easily blown out, and I would have never known. Thank god I was getting filters changed and an oil change the day after the violation was noted, or I would have never found it. Their responses to me were slow, and poor. And I do not have my $60.00 back.
Sincerely,

This company is sending me notices of collection, for non-payment, in a parking lot, I have never used. I own a 1985 Jeep CJ-7 that I have NEVER driven to **************, Mo. They do not list a phone number for me to call an agent of their company. No E-Mail address where I can dispute this claim. They have added late charges, after I sent a letter to the address in ***** Stream. I am 71, and have NOT got the finances to hire a lawyer. If anything, can you provide me an address or phone number where I can dispute this charge. Please contact me in regards to this matter as soon as possible, whether you can help or not.Business Response

The company charges parking tickets when the parking is obviously listed as 1-hour parking I have a photo of the sign and the one on the ticket even shows my car right by it (ITS obviously marked as 1-hour parking) its utter nonsense that they are allowed by the city to run this giant money fleecing scam on the public. If we had politicians anymore, they would stop this illegal stealing from happening, but they are all as worthless as the CEOs of companies like this one. And when i questioned the guy from metropolis about it he said it was only a warning then I got the 80-dollar ticket for parking legally for 5 minutes the very next day in the mail. So illegally fined and lied to, it's a double-header at metropolis today.Business Response

In April 2024 I had a Metropolis parking subscription for the "Data Lot" located at **********************************. This let me park in the lot as I please for $168.87 / month. I had this subscription because I worked at a company across the street and our parking lot was under construction, so they told us we needed to find parking elsewhere. On April 26th, 2024 I quit my job, as I had gotten a new one. That day, I immediately went into the Metropolis Parking app and cancelled my subscription to the Data Lot. After that, nothing happened until October 2024, 5 months later. On October 20th I went to dinner in ******* and parked in the "Tattoo Lot" owned by Metropolis. I scanned the lot barcode and it said it would be $14 / 1 hour. I clicked accept, went to dinner, and left around 45 minutes later. That night they charged me $14.10 for my parking visit, however they also charged me $168.87. On October 21st they again charged my card $168.87. I noticed the charges and immediately tried to call them. I said I was having billing problems and just got an automated message saying to go to the online help center. I did that and explained I was charged $340 for no reason. They emailed me saying I was being charged for a parking subscription to the Data lot that they said was still active and they closed my case. I was very confused. I knew for a fact that I cancelled it, but I checked to make sure. Sure enough, in my app it said I had no active subscriptions. I also was extremely confused why they would randomly charge me 5 months later. I never got any sort of notification that I owed anything. I went back and forth with them trying to explain this. The next day, October 24th, they charged my card AGAIN $168.87. They have now charged me $505.61 for a subscription I do not have. I have called/emailed 10+ times and had no luck. I am extremely frustrated as that is a lot of money and I have no idea what to do I feel so scammed. I will attach pictures. Please help, thanksBusiness Response
