In April 2024 I had a Metropolis parking subscription for the "Data Lot" located at **********************************. This let me park in the lot as I please for $168.87 / month. I had this subscription because I worked at a company across the street and our parking lot was under construction, so they told us we needed to find parking elsewhere. On April 26th, 2024 I quit my job, as I had gotten a new one. That day, I immediately went into the Metropolis Parking app and cancelled my subscription to the Data Lot. After that, nothing happened until October 2024, 5 months later. On October 20th I went to dinner in ******* and parked in the "Tattoo Lot" owned by Metropolis. I scanned the lot barcode and it said it would be $14 / 1 hour. I clicked accept, went to dinner, and left around 45 minutes later. That night they charged me $14.10 for my parking visit, however they also charged me $168.87. On October 21st they again charged my card $168.87. I noticed the charges and immediately tried to call them. I said I was having billing problems and just got an automated message saying to go to the online help center. I did that and explained I was charged $340 for no reason. They emailed me saying I was being charged for a parking subscription to the Data lot that they said was still active and they closed my case. I was very confused. I knew for a fact that I cancelled it, but I checked to make sure. Sure enough, in my app it said I had no active subscriptions. I also was extremely confused why they would randomly charge me 5 months later. I never got any sort of notification that I owed anything. I went back and forth with them trying to explain this. The next day, October 24th, they charged my card AGAIN $168.87. They have now charged me $505.61 for a subscription I do not have. I have called/emailed 10+ times and had no luck. I am extremely frustrated as that is a lot of money and I have no idea what to do I feel so scammed. I will attach pictures. Please help, thanksBusiness Response

I was charged $34.88 for 1.5hr parking I dined at a restaurant with validation for this particular garage. The ** code was not accepted. I called the restaurant who confirmed parking should have been waived and told me I simply needed to call metropolis to provide my receipt from the restaurant. *** opened 2 separate claims providing my receipt with coordinating time and location to metropolis agent who have both informed me I will not receive a refund because it was not validated while my ticket was active. I do not feel that was by any fault of mine due to a ** code not working and feel Im being taken advantage of when my parking should have been validated and I have proof of my visit to the restaurant.Business Response

On 7/23 I parked at the metropolis garage at the ********************************************. There was no parking attendant, the gate was open, and no clear signs stating it was a garage which charged parking fees. In the past, parking was free when visiting the ****************************. In September I received a bill stating owed them $4.00 for an unpaid fare plus a violation fee of $37.75. I disputed the transaction on the website and on 9/4 received an email stating that the ticked was "marked as solved". I recently received another bill showing a violation fee of $70.25. The lack of clear signage is a major problem for people who only use the facility on an infrequent basis and the violation fees are exorbitant, unethical and possibly illegal. Please help me get this bill back to the original fee of $4.00 that I would have reluctantly paid if there were clear signs posted. I find their business practices of untimely billing, lack of a phone number to talk directly with an individual, poor communication and unrealistic violation fees as unprofessional at best.Business Response

I paid for 30 minutes parking and $6 fee After 30 minutes received text to extend I reviewed extension and ************************* app kept toggling more time, but I never accepted or actuated since it wouldn't allow to decrease to a minimal extension of 30 minutes I closed app and retried, but unable to set at lower time I NEVER accepted or actuated to extend Later I received bill for $21 for extension to which I never agreed, actuated or contracted.I emailed customer service, but they can't understand that their app is slamming a person into fees Please help remediate and if unable then add to complaints for Metropolis (parking)Thank you Good luck Best ***Business Response

On 10/19/2024, I chose to park in the parking garage at the ********************** in ******, ** due to the sign saying that the daily max is $25 as seen in the attached photo. Upon leaving the parking garage I was shocked to find out that my bill was $63.00 and that y'all took it upon yourself to decide the rate would be $30 per 8 hour period. This was not made clear when I chose to park there. I believe this is a bait and switch tactic to get people into the parking garage at the advertised $25 rate that is clearly stated when pulling into the entrance of the garage. I also talked to others who were frustrated with the same situation. As such, I am requesting a refund to my credit card for the $38 that I was wrongly charged per deceptive practices. Additionally, on the sign, there is no mention that the price is subject to change.Business Response

I decided not to park in their lot and their only response is a cut and paste response that has nothing to do with the issue. I asked to escalate the issue and they are not actually reading my responses and only just copying and pasting their response.Business Response

My husband and I attended a Waterway Cruise Brunch on **********. We paid for parking fee. After our two hour cruise we returned to our car with a ticket on it. The original receipt of payment had not come through yet. I paid the ticket anyway after having a discussion with my husband. I could see that the parking fee came out of his bank account, however we had no receipt. The receipt came via email hours later. I called the company with a local Washington phone number that was allegedly to the parking garage. The individual did not answer the phone using the name of the company. They individual proceeded to give me two email addresses to send my proof of payment and penalty payment .The emails bounced back with a block message stating that my email could not be delivered. I have called this place multiple times with no resolution. I finally found some information using ****** and submitted a complaint. I work at a business downtown which forces us to use this parking garage. When I was using it on 10-16-24 I scanned the discount code as instructed, but I did not receive the free parking as I normally do. On my way out I was charged 42 dollars. I immediately the following day noticed this and submitted a request for a refund along with a screenshot of the discount code itself. They replied that I needed to have a screenshot of the applied discount code for the given day to prove it was a system error.Business Response

This parking company is deliberately taking advantage of people. They do not make it easy to provide payment for service nor do they provide assistance in making the payment but they will send a bill 2 weeks later including a $55 "late fee" that is often more than the cost of parking. ******** company with a disgusting business model and I will not be paying into this scam.Business Response

I was issued an invoice for parking fees of $30 for parking for 11 minutes on September 22 in a lot that was covered in signage saying it was free parking for the business across the street. I parked in a spot that was labeled as being for patrons of that business. I have now received a notice for unpaid fees and a $70.25 late fee.
