My husband and I travelled to *********, **, August 11- August 16, and we stayed at the ******************* on ***********************. We used a rental car, and the hotel offered Premier Parking ************** which we used and paid for. I received notice on October 4th from our rental company (Hertz) that Premier Parking/*********** Payments issued us three parking tickets. The time stamps on those tickets correspond to times that their staff specifically told us to park our car in the valet parking lane so that they could park our car for us. The total violations cost $420.75,I disputed the tickets through *********** Payment's ticketing system October 7th, and provided the evidence. On October 14th they admitted that it was a mistake, and the valet forgot to validate those visits. I asked them to repay ***** in full. Instead, they offered to credit 75% of the cost, but they were keeping $15.75 for processing. They claimed that it was the hotel's valet service, not *************, but *********** is the one who issued the tickets. I want them to pay ***** back in full.

On Wed 9/11/24, I parked in the lot using the ** code, receiving confirmation of payment after I paid. No problems. The next day, Thurs 9/12/24, I attempted to use the ** code, in exactly the way that had been successful the previous day, but never received confirmation that the payment had gone through. I reached out for help while I was still in the parking lot, but didnt get a response and had to get to work, so moved to and paid for a different lot. 24 hours later, I received a text that they had charged me for parking on 9/12/24, even though I didnt receive confirmation that payment had gone through, so Id moved to and paid for a different lot. I reached out asking for either a refund or a code to park for one day, making me whole as I had paid for parking that I never received due to a malfunction with their system as I didnt receive confirmation that payment was made. After several messages back and forth with someone from their customer service, they said there was nothing they could do because its my fault for paying for parking I didnt use. But I would have used it had I known the payment went through. I provided screenshots showing the notification I had received properly the day before. As I told them, if payment hadnt gone through, but I had parked there anyway, you know they would have given me a big ticket! I see there are many complaints against this business and I wish I would have checked here before using their services. I want to alert others to their shady business practices. Its about the principle, not the absolute dollar amount.

From October 8-19 I traveled on ****** from ********* ** to ***. The ****************************** recently changed their parking vendor to Metropolis. In order to pay for parking you must scan a ** code. I already had the app so I waited until I was on the train to book my parking. Unfortunately the app is not designed the way most parking apps are designed. If you are not physically on site when you try to book parking, the app makes it impossible to do so. Even if you want to pay for parking the system prevents you from doing so, and customer support can not help either. As a result you are trapped into getting tickets for every day you are gone, with no way to stop them, even if you want and try to pay. Trapping someone into fees or fines due to system limitations is by definition a predatory business practice, unethical, and potentially fraudulent. None of the signs on the site say you must pay on-site (or take a picture of the ** code, either). This puts the company at risk of legal exposure. Support has stopped talking to me because I requested a refund for the parking fines I was charged when I wanted to pay. This company is unethical and CEO ********* ****** is operating a predatory business.

I received an unauthorized charge on my work purchasing card on 9/27 and went to metropolis to request they remove the card from my account. I also reiterated that I had not been in one of their lots for more than 15 mins. There is a coffee shop near my home and I never go in longer than it takes to get my food and leave. Several days later I received a bill for $78 stating I was in their lot for 19 mins (4 mins longer than the ***** period) with no proof other than a grainy photo of my entering and exiting. The actual parking charge is $8 and there is a $70 fee. How can they charge this predatory and exorbitant late fee without proof or appropriate attempts to notify of the charge, time frame to pay, AND proof. This charge alleged occurred 9/14 and the letter was received less than 30 days later 10/11

The parking garage did not have prices posted and only charged an unagreed price upon exiting. They also require phone number, license plate number, and credit card info which no other parking garage does. The pricing opacity is clearly predatory as I would not have parked if I knew the prices up front. The receipt comes with a satisfaction survey which is designed to solicit positive feedback and give the impression that an opportunity for negative feedback will be presented, but ends before giving such an opportunity. The website also clearly hides means of contacting the business to register complaints.

My bank atm approved the $12.00 and i went back to the booth to tell the man your machines dont print receipts he said yes i know. I told him well lift the arm so i can get out of parking lot he said No you have to pay again. He held me against my will after paying and i had to pay again in order to leave. How many other customers and or women has he done this to. Grouching is against the law in **********.

Date: 8/17 Time: 7:18pm I parked in a Metropolis parking lot for 30 min because the sign said $5 for first hour. I made sure to come back to my car in under an hour and did so. However I was automatically charged $32.10 ($2.10 for a service charge). This lot was one of the camera enabled locations, so it automatically charged me. When I sent in my receipt showing them they made an error, Metropolis said it was "Event parking" during that time. However, there was so signage saying that log was "event parking" just a very clear sign showing "$5 for first hour" I went back and forth with their support team and they said they can't do anything about it and that I should have scaned the ** code to see pricing at that specific time, despite the oversized sign saying "$5 for first hour". Metropolis lots in ********* are in violation of false advertisement. According to metro ordinance, the ** codes are not adequate.

I prepaid $200 for parking for the month of September. On Sept 4th I submitted a cancellation request and a prorated refund for 9/5- 9/30 but was told there would be no refunds but that I could park through the end of the month. I parked there around Sept 25th (I dont remember the exact date) and was issued a parking ticket for $63 with the explanation I did not have a valid parking subscription because I canceled it September 4th. I disputed the ticket bc the subscription was paid through 9/30. They responded saying I parked in an area that wasnt covered under my original subscription. I told them there are no signs or demarcations indicating that there were separate areas as all the parking runs together and used the same entrance. They refused to acknowledge this and insist I owe $63 even though I had already overpaid $200. This company clearly uses unfair billing practices- are there any laws that protect consumers against this similar to the way airlines are now required to issue refunds? Can we ask the city government to step in and require Metropolis to refund citizens for their price gouging tactics? How do they continue to get away with this and nothing can be done to stop them.
