9/22/22 & 9/23/22 total charge $191.50, violation numbers ************************** Company named Metropolis.I was of the understanding that handicapped parking was free so I parked In Handicapped parking with a handicapped card displayed. There was no indication that that was not the case. No obvious signs as I entered or exited about paying. The violation charge was excessive. I have paid the amount above and am ok paying the parking cost of $51, however, request the violation fees to be returned. An amount of $140.50.

I parked in downtown *********. I scanned the ** code and put in my credit card information. Months later I received a fine for $70.00 . I have contacted the company ( ******** payments) multiple times to only receive automated responses or being redirected to email contact. I have offered over snd over to pay my $8 fee even tho their app failed. Nothing, I get nothing from them but a repeated bill every few months. Im refusing to pay a fine that was not because of anything I did. Please rectify ASAP!!! This is a scam !!!

09.29.22 parking fee of $20 was valid but got a ticket for *****. I want to speak to a live person (keep getting texts that have no true interaction and the text said there is no way to speak to a live person) and I want a refund for the ticket. I don't know if the scanner messed up or if I did it wrong (before using Metropolis in September I have never used this technology and even had to get help to scan when I came in) but I did nothing wrong to get such a ticket. I was acting in total good conscience and expected my parking charge. I know it scanned on the way in because i couldn't use my phone all day... it had it tied up and I was afraid to get out of it and then I stopped on my way out and scanned. The sign said I would be charged when I drove out so after scanning or I thought it scanned, I was expecting my parking charge for $20.00. 17 days later I get a ticket. I am very worried because I parked there several other times because my internet at home (I work from home and they were doing network expansion in the neighborhood and the internet wouild go out unexpectedly) and I don't know if I am going to get tickets for them too because I did the same thing to get out. Please get me some help and show some mercy or I could be facing 400 or more in fines when all I did was park there for partial work day. I work for **** and this garage was attached to my building. I have used this parking in the past when it was ticket stubs and although expensive, i accepted the price to park and ****** was fair and never had a problem like this. This feels very much like cheating a customer and I don't want to feel that way, so please let's work this out.

9/29/22 parked at ********************************************** - scanned in and out but got a ticket for $70 that I want removed. I have parked there a number of times since and I am guessing I will get violations for those dates too. The rate is $20 per day which I am willing to pay (the times are even on the ticket). I want all ticket costs removed from 09.29.22 and any other dates during the time period 09.29.22 - 10.10.22. It is clear I wasn't trying to violate anything as my scan "in" recorded. But apparently my scan "out" didn't register. I want to talk to a live person to have this resolved and this bill and any bills between 09.29.22 and 10.10.22 to be adjust to parking amounts only and tickets removed. . I can't get a live person, only robotic texts.

      Customer Answer

Please remove this complaint from Premier Parking.  *********** involved in the complaint was Metropolis (my understanding is they took over some parking lots from Premier and are not related to my complaint) and the complaint with Metropolis was resolved.  It is worrisome that Metropolis does not have a phone number but it was resolved through a building management company.

      Thank you.

We parked at the ********************** on Aug. 2, 2022 from 2:51 pm to 4:44 pm. We were visiting our newborn grandchild. The facility was managed by McKinley (and more recently Metropolis). There is no clear signage, the gate is always UP, and there is no way to know how the payment system works. We looked for an attendant and asked a lot of questions, but not even the Security personnel had any answers. A few weeks later, a violation notice arrived by mail informing us that the parking fee was $9 (which we did not know) and the violation fine was $30. This was a shock, so I got in touch with McKinley in writing and explained my circumstances, offering to pay the original fee of $9. No response. On Oct 13, the company mailed me a second invoice for $39.25, with no acknowledgement of my previous appeal. I got in touch with them, heard back from a **************** (in Customer Support) who denied my appeal because he believed there is adequate signage. How does he know? I told him the gate was up and there was neither an attendant nor any way to know about the parking fee. The exit gate is also up all the time. This is nothing but a shameful scam operation to extort money from unsuspecting patrons of the hospital. I tried calling their main number in ********* -- no human contact is possible. They should be held accountable.

I am rejecting this response because: THEY SHOULD REFUND MY PAYMENT OF THE UNJUSTIFIED FINE -- $30. That will show that they are ethical and truly concerned about their customer's satisfaction.

I parked at one of their parking garages in ********* when I was traveling there. There are very few signs and no booth or gate for any to get assistance with paying your parking. There was a QR code that I scanned and kept getting internal server error when it was trying to go to the site. There was nothing I could do so I just left. After about a week I receive a notice that my parking fare of $6 was unpaid and there was also a $70.25 ticket fine. I tried to go on the website to pay just the parking fare which I'm happy to do but it doesn't let me make a partial payment. I refuse to pay the fine because their services were down and there wasn't away for me to pay it. This is also a ridiculous fine, 10x the fee, how is the world are they allowed to get away with this?

On Saturday 8/6/22 I parked in the parking facility in downtown *********. Upon entering the parking garage there was no attendant, the gate arm was up, and no ticket dispensed. Upon exiting the garage there was no attendant and the gate arm was up. Likewise, I did not give this another thought thinking parking was free on weekends. Since then I have received two bills totaling $95.25. This is absolutely unreasonable and I should not be penalized for mechanical or employee issues. No answer to all attempts to call and no response to emails as of today.

I parked at ******************************************************************** on 9-16-22. Drove in 5:35 pm and drove out 7:40pm. I was unable to get my payment to process and so attempted to send an email to this company but it wouldn't accept my request. I received a parking ticket in the mail for ***** and the price for parking was $14. I have filed a dispute with them and several emails later they want me to pay $50. This is an unacceptable amount. I sent a screenshot of me attempting to email them that night at 7:41 pm.

We parked in the *********************** on 10/7/22 from 2:13 pm until 3:23pm. The parking garage was not clearly marked as a paid parking area. It was not evident that we had to pay to park there. There are no gates or attendants to collect money upon arrival or departure. Several weeks after parking there we received a bill for $6.00 for an hour of parking with a fee of $70.25 making the total bill $76.25. We have never had a problem with paying for parking and we have lived in the greater ********* area for more than 20 years. We have no problem paying the $6.00 for the hour of parking. However we feel like the fine is excessive. If there had been proper signage with the cost hourly for parking, a gate, or an attendant it would have been clear that we had to pay to park. Our son also parked and paid the fee and the steep fine. With over 150 complaints it's obvious that there is a signage problem and that it is not clear how or if you have to pay. I feel it's a way to get extra money from people who are unaware of this companies practices. We tried to resolve with the company but they denied my dispute and sent automated messages back to me. After a 2nd dispute they lowered the fee to $50.00, which we feel is still unfair and excessive. We have no problem paying the $6.00 we owe them for the use of their parking garage for that time.
