      I have played lottery for several years. Today I played midday. It was close to cut off time. My slips got ran. I bought a few tickets. Then I went home pulled up the number on my phone. Just so happen it was the one I played. Was looking through my tickets and one slip didn't print and I was charged for it. So 7.50 for the ticket I play and I had hit on pic3 $40. So I'm out of $47.50. I'm so mad!

      When purchasing a ticket from the Tennessee Education Lottery (TEL), the player is agreeing to comply and be subject to the policies and procedures of the TEL. One such policy in our drawing-style game rules is that "It shall be the sole responsibility of the player to verify the accuracy of the game Play or Plays and other data printed on the Ticket  . . .. The placing of Plays is done at the player's own risk through the Retailer who is acting on behalf of the player in entering the Play or Plays. The purchaser of a Play or Plays through a Ticketless Transaction has the sole responsibility for verifying the accuracy and condition of the data at the time of purchase." Similar language appears on the play slips that a player uses to communicate his/her number selection to the lottery terminal.

      In addition, the TEL's Cash3 and Cash4 games feature the ability to cancel a transaction for 15 minutes following the purchase of a ticket for either of these two games. We encourage players to review their purchased tickets at the time of purchase to ensure that the player received the ticket the player requested. We ask that the players review the numbers appearing on the ticket, that the ticket is valid for the correct drawing and that the ticket is for the correct day. It is the responsibility of the player to check their received tickets to ensure they are correct and reflects their desired purchase.

      We regret that the complainant experienced this situation. In the future should this occur again (which we hope it does not), we strongly suggest the complainant communicate directly with the retailer or contact *************** at the TEL.
