The staff was great to work with and the services were great. My problem is with the billing department. Two claims were presented to my insurance company. One was paid in full, however the insurance carrier would not pay the second claim because the way it was coded indicated that they were being double billed for the same service. We reached out to the insurance carrier, who stated they would pay the claims, if Pinnacle could resubmit the claim with the correct coding. ***  went as far to state that the way it was billed instituted insurance fraud. We then contacted Pinnacle's billing department to try and get the claim refiled correctly. When hanging up with the billing department, we were under the impression that they were going to resubmit the claim...correctly. After a few weeks, we started receiving past-due notices from Pinnacle. We then conferenced in *** and Pinnacle's billing department to try and get Pinnacle to understand what *** needed in order to process the claim. We got off the call again with the perception that Pinnacle would resubmit the claim correctly, however this never occurred. Eventually, we were contacted by a law firm hired by Pinnacle to force payment. We ended up being forced to pay, out of pocket, for services that the insurance company stated they would gladly pay, if the claims were submitted correctly. As an afterthought, we started looking at reviews and found Pinnacle's 3rd-world billing company is infamous for this very practice.
You may very well receive good care from the staff at Pinnacle Dermatology, however you need to understand that the billing department is either incompetent or maliciously crooked. It was going to cost us more to hire a lawyer of our own to fight and get the process corrected than it would to pay the miscoded claim.
