If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely terrible business. The ********* location and dealing with ***********************. She was so unprofessional I dont know how she still holds a job there. No communication whatsoever with anything going on, from the loan to the building of the home. She never responded to emails, ignored questions regarding loans and the 10,000$ they so quickly wanted to hold the property. In General, just terrible and would never recommend using DR **********************

They do not stand behind their warranty! Very bad construction front the soffit to the driveway! I wish I would have searched this before my Dad purchasing this home! I could go on and on. The latest episode was when my shelving in his pantry fell apart and all came down! Come to see the screws were in the drywall not the studs. Instead of admitting their faulty they blamed there was to much weight. According to the supervisor it's only a 15 lb weight limit ! Always an excuse. It's always the house owner fault even when it happened to the clothes closet! We should all plan a class action lawsuit ! My Dad has Dementia so that last epesidode that happened with the shelves all collapsing he is afraid to live in is own home ! He thinks it's all going to cave in! Let's all start this class action law suit@

I live in the Ventana Lakes by D.R. Horton. It is a new house. The house didn't come with water valve for the refrigerator. I filed the ticket. They sent the plumbers and a guy to fix the drywall. My vinyl flooring was damaged during their work. D.R. Horton's insurance company, *********************************, https://*******************/ didn't fix it for me. They didn't even reply my email. Their service is really bad. Their home quality is poor. D.R. Horton's insurance company, ********************************* always fight with the homeowners not to fix the damages even though they are the insurance company.

Im not even sure where to start. Shoddy work all around. Lots of repairs are still needed. Every door is damaged- including a ******** that is on one of my doors. I can see most drywall seams on the ceiling. The house was so filthy even after it being cleaned twice. I have paint and grout everywhere. Doors and closets are also filthy. Im finding additional damage to my brand new home as I clean. Bathtub has a gauge the size of a nickel. Master tub is yellowed from the sun due to no mitigation from the sun. My hot water heater wasnt able to be tested prior to closing since the outlet was drywalled over. Come to find out I have no hot water in the house. The list goes on and I know Im not the only one in my subdivision with complaints. Im hoping that the additional repairs that were noted prior to closing scheduled and actually repaired.

I would not recommend building with DR *********************** They will do everything they can to absolve themselves of the issues caused by poorly built homes. Two days after moving in to our brand new home, the water heater went out. The kitchen island was not flush and had to be cut. As a result of this the flooring beneath it was cut and exposed. They never replaced it as promised. Our basement flooded as a result of foundation cracks and a sump pump failure (confirmed by insurance). Thankfully insurance covered all the damage. Once they believe for a second the issue is your fault, they no longer care about the home you or your family live in. It took a year to get anything done about the foundation cracks. They refused to replace the insulation and drywall that THEY cut out. Very shady practices by this builder. Glad to be rid of this home soon.

I bought a new D.R ********************** house which is located in ***** **. I did my 1st orientation/walk-thru on 8/19/22. The status of house was not ready to do an orientation/walk-thru. All power outlets and switch areas were messed up, and some doors were incorrectly installed (entrance, garage, and closet). There was many holes on the walls, every single door had striking damages, and no screens were installed in all windows. Some of exterior areas needed additional white paint coating, fence door had huge and wide gaps (people can see though my back yard and my arm can pass through the gap), some roof shingles need to be tied up, main bath room closet clothing shelf/rack was wabbly, kitchen closet doors need adjustment, floor paint stain needs to be removed, garret ladder was incorrectly installed there is a big hole on the garage wall, etc.. The superintendent told me that the issues will be beautifully fixed by next walk-through. I did the 2nd walk-thru the week after, but the construction staff only barely fixed the power outlets, switch areas but it was very rough. Lots of requested items havent been taken care of. So, another final walk-thru was scheduled to the week after. I was upset because the repair status was almost same as the previous visit. I had to ******* the issues that I marked during my 1st walk-thru. However, superintendent rejected to repair fence door. He said the gap is normal and standard, but my neighbor doesnt have huge gap like mine. He asked me to contact warranty department if I want to fix it. I didnt agree with his suggestion because I think it is related with my privacy and safety. I still want D.R ********************** to fix the fence door. At the end, he told me the same thing again the issues will be fixed by Friday (9/9), which is the scheduled closing day. I trusted them but when I stopped by Thursday on 9/8 late afternoon, nothing has been repaired and everything remained the same. It seems like they totally ignored my house issues almost a month

The DR ********************** Developers are destroying Brunswick County in **************. Unfortunately, local and state level greed is allowing destructive land clearing. Burning of leftover trees and ground covering, causing poor air quality in the surrounding area. Future strain on infrastructure is a valid concern. Poor craftsmanship of DR ********************** and even poorer concern for the community. So disappointed with all involved for allowing this community development to continue. DR ********************** is a destructive not a development company.

Buyer beware! DR ********************** America's Builder should be changed to ********* Nightmare! The homes look good but are built horribly! They don't care about the customer, the 11 month warranty is a joke! The homes should be listed for half of the asking price. 2 out of 10 do not recommend! Take your hard earned money elsewhere!

I just moved into **************** in ******************** Texas. I have had the worst experience with ***** the Superintendent and his trade workers. Where should I start... The paint is two different colors on the entire walls of the house, the crown molding is not lined up and the wood is split throughout the house, the caulking on the base boards are unfinished throughout the house, there are different tiles in the bathroom, there are warped tiles in the living room, there are chipped cabinets in the kitchen, unfinished paintings on the baseboards, unfinished painting in the garage, unfinished installations of the sprinkler system, dead trees in the front yard, garage doors that are installed incorrectly and making very loud popping sound and the C&G ************** are telling me it is Paint that is making the loud popping sound but I know better than that and they are refusing to do anything about it, light fixtures that have dirty finger prints on the ceiling that were never cleaned done by ***** the superintendent, outside unfinished painting to the wood that was never completed in the front of the house, outside caulking that was never done at the front door, caulking on the crown molding that was never done throughout the house, back door that doesn't fit my key, oven that is on blocks, caulk on crown molding gives it a dull look needs to be fixed, unfinished painting on front porch when I look from the front door facing the street, warped ceing on front porch needs fixing, foot prints on back porch ceiling needs to be wiped off, back door needs to be replaced due to paint peeling and the workers painted over the peeling taped and bird ****, back porch cement was broken in several spots and workers repaired it but sloppy and with a lighter color cement and it should be done right, hallway bathroom vent needs texture repair, master bedroom crown molding needs same attention as remainder areas, both shower strips need replaced, all bathrooms need painting, paint.
