On 7/27/24 I took my pocket knife given to me by my father to Austin Blades for sharpening. While there I mentioned I will take it home and clean it. The salesmen, who only works Saturdays, then advised they have a restoration service and it will be ready around Tuesday. We also talked about the damage on the knife as it was missing a cap on one side. The cap was shaped as an Indian head. The salesman tried looking for a match on other knives in the store and didn't find one, but I told him it doesn't have to be a match anything will do. I accepted the offer and left the knife. A week goes by and I don't receive a call so I decided to visit the following Saturday. There was a different man there whose name I believe is ***** and one of the owners. I gave him the information on my order and he looked at his completed orders, looked through all the containers and didn't find my knife. He asked what day I came in and he found my name in the receipt book. He was still unsure what happened so he called the salesman that worked last Saturday who described my knife. Now he remembers the knife and advised he worked on it. He tried to replace the cap with a nickel but it was too big. He still doesn't know where the knife is located. He is now trying to blow me off saying we will call you. I am asking him if he worked on it where is it and he isn't giving an answer. I left and decided to give them one more week. No calls and a week passes. I visit again and the original salesman is there but has no knife for me. I asked him to look for it. He looked through one office and didn't find anything. He wanted to give me business cards for the owners but I told him to call right now. He reached one owner and they didn't have any answer on where my knife is located. As of today, I have no knife and haven't received any calls.

Very unfortunate incident. We have spoken to him numerous times about the incident. The knife was lost. The knife has a value of $10 but we understand that it had a sentimental value of much more. So how do we resolve this? We have offered. So until we know how to take care of this, we can do nothing. He surely can't believe we took his knife. In 20 years a problem like this has never occurred. It's in his court. Just tell us how to resolve it. It appears he likes the attention of yelp reviews and BBB complaints more than anything.
