      I told **** wanted to cancel service for misrepresented for service. The rep said there was a cancellation fee. For 289. Stated send me a final statement then will call and pay. They did not send statement and charged my acct with no authorization. Think they did that as fraud . Something needs to be done with this company and rep was very rude. How can u pay monthly and no charge. This paymnt was not right.

      Run! Run! Run! Run! If only I had checked with BBB before I signed up. These people are crooks! They will not call you to schedule a time to come spray and when you call and complain, they will tell you that they can't call everyone, they don't have time. I have used several pest control companies, bigger than this one, and have always had someone call and schedule a convenient time with me. They also will not come in and spray the interior of your home, claiming that their product is just that wonderful that it works inside AND out. The customer support team will then tell you that other pest control companies don't come in either, which is a straight up lie. In fact he argued with me for several minutes about this. Tried to call again and got hung up on. 3rd call was NOT a charm. **************** doesn't exist in Alta's vocabulary. When I asked to speak to an owner, I was told that they don't talk to customers!!! RED FLAG!!!!!! As soon as you complain and ask to cancel the contract without termination fees, they start quoting the small print parts of the contract to you.

      If I could rate zero stars, I would, solely on the experience today regarding an attempt to cancel services. Upon signing up for services, I was under the impression my contract was for quarterly service. Each month since my initial indoor and outdoor treatment (the only one I had since August when I signed up), Ive been charged $49.99/month. I was told if I wanted to cancel services at no penalty that I would need to write a letter to do so. I did that when I continued being charged and about a few weeks later, Im receiving a call from Alta requesting I call them to cancel as thats how I cancel services. During the call, ****, rep, asks why Im cancelling, I tell him I dont feel I should be charged monthly for a quarterly service-he says he understands, then asks if they honor the quarterly request if Id like to stay on with them as they dont want to abandon a customer, I decline then am told I have to pay $200 odd dollars to cancel since I received discounts upon signing up for services. I questioned him as to what since does that make that when I try to cancel, you offer me what initially ask for but I decline and want to cancel and am being penalized. Poor businessmen, I shouldve stayed with *****.

      Not happy with the service, they are scammers, charging me $ 275 and the job wasnt working, still a lot of bees outside my garden, I got bitten while Im watering the trees, I already canceled the service by online and still wanted me to talk in person, I finally blocked them to avoid of harassing me for the fees, said I owed ,

      After a door to door sales rep showed up and smelled of drugs and was underage drinking he proceeded to not give enough information on their pricing and monthly subscription price for a quarterly service. After the first treatment I saw no difference and called again, the sales techs were not thorough and rushed through and were rude. After multiple trips out there was no difference and my account was getting charged monthly for a quarterly service. After multiple phone calls to cancel due to a signature being placed on an agreement that was no explained they proceeded to tell me I had to pay a $440 fee from the discount they gave me for my first service to cancel. What kind of 5 minute service application is $440? I know they do that so you wont pay and just continue services and getting charged monthly which is CROOKED! They said they would only cancel for free if I had video of the sales rep not explaining it. Unfortunately my ring only went back to 3 days after the agreement which was infuriating. I now plan to change my info so I am not charged and dispute all charges made. I did not agree to this and if they had proper sales reps they would not get calls or reviews like this. Handle your customers correctly and train your sales team accordingly. I worked in pest control as a sales rep for 2 years and never would a treatment for regular pest control spraying be $440 and if my boss ever received a call about my lack to communicate he would be taking care of the customer and speaking with me. Very crooked company!

      My record of phone calls, e-mails and letters goes back to the first week of August - in attempting to get this purported contract closed. My electronic signature authorizing payment of the $29 discount price for a one-time demo application was copied to a ************************************************** approval and all the efforts and conversations to get this stopped have so far not been successful. Being retired and on social security, I don't have time or financial resources to take this to court, but something should be done.**********

      I agreed to contract of $119 per quarter. They would send a tech out but would always have to come again to do reactive service. Never proactive. After the first quarter I realized everything they promised was false and I was wasting my $. One year later I still have the same pest problems and they keep telling me I have 1 more treatment per contract. Dont waste your time or $ with this company.

      Beware of Alta Pest Control - They prey on the elderly. I signed for a 1 time service and found out too late that I had signed a contract (which I did not know about) for about 359. a quarter. I found out when they took $43.00 out of my bank account and then told me they would be doing that every month, but would only service me once every 3 month. I contacted my attorney, who talked with them and reviewed what what I had, at which point he said if we went to court over this I would lose. But he did say to contact the Better Business Bureau, which I am doing. And even tho I'm paying the a month amount of $43. they are still harassing me with phone calls and emails because I'm not paying them the entire amount at one time. Buyer beware, especially these guys;

      AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Promised to treat my crawlspace (I am in a mitigated house) which is the only reason I switched from another company. When they came out to do the initial treatment, I was told that someone else would contact me to schedule this. I never received a call so when the tech came to do the 1 month service, I asked about this again. He at first stated that this couldn't be done, but then after checking with his manager, stated that it could but we would need to be out of the house with all pets for 4 hours. We scheduled a date to do this but on the scheduled date, no technician showed up. I have called the office several times and am told that the service manager will call me back, but he never does. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service!!!

      Please beware of the salesmen as they are very intimidating and pushy. The salesman that came to my house kept knocking a my door, on and off, for about 20 minutes and would not leave. My dogs kept barking due to the aggressive knocking and, in order for them to stop, I had to answer the door. He told me the company he worked for but did not give me his name. He tried to get me to sign a contract with them but I advised I had to discuss this with my wife and would get back to him. He tried to get in my house by telling me he was hot and by standing there with the door open I was letting bugs in the house. I refused and asked him to leave several times before I had to shut the door on him. Around "9pm" that evening there was a knock on the door, he had come back and told my wife I asked him to come back when she was home - I DID NOT - I told him I would discuss and get back to him. He, again, refused to leave right away and continued to try to get us to sign a contract. Finally my wife had to shut the door on him. I called the company this morning advising I do not want any of their salesmen at my home and will call the police if another one shows up. I sent out a notice to my neighbors who also had complained of salesmen trying to follow them in the home after they got home or sitting on their porch for hours waiting for someone to answer the door or come home. I read some other reviews after researching this company and some people claim the company actually brings bugs to your home so they can come back since they seem to have more bugs, or different types of bugs, after they leave. I don't know if its true or not but they definitely hang around the homes for long periods of time. I don't know what this company's training program is but the people they are sending to homes are aggressive, intimidating and rude.
