I have submitted a number of Opt out requests with Locate People to not sell or share my information and to have my information removed from the site but never receive a response. On September 4th, we received the initial request, but the details were insufficient to locate the specific records. Despite our prompt reply seeking more information, we didnt hear back from *****************************. The BBB complaint enabled us to identify and remove the name, which we confirmed via email on September 25th. After this, ***************************** further informed us that their husbands information was still present on our site. While this was not part of the initial removal request, we acted on the update and removed ********************* husbands information and confirmed as much via email on September 26th.
We can confirm that all aspects of this data removal request are complete.

When you try, it gets into a loop when it asks you to verify the email address and does not allow you to request information be removed. My wife and I have made multiple requests to have our information removed from Locatepeople.org's site, and nothing has worked. The information that is displayed has errors. A company shouldn't be able to post some of your contact information to the public and tell falsehoods about you. This company should keep their word about removing people's information that request it, and in a more timely manner. My first attempt at removal was on 6/30/23, and I received the confirmation. Retried on 7/28/23 with a different email address and again received confirmation. My wife submitted her requests on the same dates, with the same non-results that I got.Business Response
