      I recently received a free Sips by Tea Box *********** Rewards Members. When signing up for this free reward I was careful to opt out of the subscription service. Two months later I received my paypal statement informing me that sips had changed my paypal account twice for items I had not received nor ordered.I contacted sips to inform them the charges were unauthorized and to cancel all current and future orders. Despite this sips sent another box and continued to decline a refund for the two payments received through my paypal account. I opened a case with paypal informing them I had not received nor authorized the tea box sent by sips. There is no contact number for this company and all contact has to be made through their email messaging system. I sent numerous emails to sips asking them to cancel their subscription service and issue a refund. This company is definitely fraudulent. I would like for this subscription to be canceled and refund to be issued. Please help

      Hi *******, thank you for reaching out to us! We sincerely apologize for any frustration you have experienced with your subscription and we are happy to help. It looks like you had signed up for our personalized tea box subscription using a code from a promotion we had done with ******* for a free first personalized tea box. It was stated in *******'s offer details that redeeming the reward would mean signing up for a subscription and entering into an auto-renewal agreement with Sips by. It is also stated in bold on the personalized tea box page that the subscription renews automatically until cancelled, and this is also stated in your order confirmation emails, our FAQ, and our terms of service. I do see that our customer service did answer your emails, and that your subscription was cancelled on July 27th along with the most recent charge being refunded on July 29th. The third order that began processing on July 26th had not been shipped yet as it had just begun processing, which was why you had not received it yet. We are happy to help answer any other questions you have regarding the subscription, please don't hesitate to reach out to us if there is any further confusion or concerns.

      I am rejecting this response because: I truly believe your business practices are deceptive, to label something as free but in reality, in order to receive it one must subscribe to your monthly service is extremely misleading, unfair, and deceptive and is likely to mislead other consumers. This type of business practice is a direct violation of consumer rights and a breach of UDAAP. It is unlawful for any provider of consumer financial products or services or a service provider to engage in any unfair, deceptive or abusive act or practices, this is a direct violation of Consumer laws and regulations. I truly believe the practice of this company is not legitimate at all and they should cease from deceiving customers into a free box when in actuality there is nothing free unless you subscribe to their service. This is so wrong.
