      ****, seeing all of the 1 Star reviews, I'm not sure it will help to leave a review, but here we ***** husband and I recently relocated from ******* to ******** (not by choice, family is in the north). We had purchased a vehicle in *******, financed through Santander Consumer. We relocated to ******** in October of **************************************************** ******** ever since. Turns out that in the State of ********, you must produce a title along with the registration from your previous state. Since we do not own the vehicle outright, we have no title. The other option is to provide a copy of the loan agreement, which unfortunately is in storage in *******. We have contacted Santander no less than 4 times requesting a copy of our loan agreement, which should be easily accessible. We've been told twice that the agreement would arrive via email and twice that something was being mailed out. I am beyond frustrated at this point. We continue to call and each time are told "it's in the (e)mail. So either they are just being obstinate, or they do not have a copy of the agreement themselves. IDK, I have no words. Maybe DOGE should investigate them too :(P.S. the rating should allow for ZERO stars - that would be my choice. Thank you for listening.

      Absolutely the worst financial institution I have ever dealt with. I've enrolled in autopay multiple times, have screenshots proving it was enabled, and yet payments were never withdrawn resulting in false delinquency reports on my account. I have an 820+ credit score and now Santander is actively doing damage to it because of their system failures. Their online platform is outdated and lacks even basic visibility into payment setup, and trying to reach someone by phone means sitting on hold for over 20 minutes. Their website support chat times out 15 minutes into a conversation, cuts you off and you have to start all over again. I travel for work and rely on autopay. I'm seriously considering returning my vehicle just to stop dealing with this mess. Avoid at all costs.

      I called Santander and told them that **** *************** in Kaneohe, Oahu told me I had to make my monthly payments to them which would go towards paying off my White, 2021 ****** Kicks (at the time).After paying them over $2,000 and keeping my car (at the time) under excellent maintenance, Santander repossessed my car because they said they havent received a single payment from **** explained to them what happened with the intent to resolve the problem, and then offered to pay them $1,500 to pay for any late payments which they declined and said they wanted the full $24,000+ instead for the value of the car which was not agreed upon with them or the dealership I was working with at the ******* I told them I cant do that. I had my personal stuff in my car when it was repossessed while I was asleep. They had a tow truck come onto private property without me knowing about it before they took the car. Eventually I got my personal belongings back and I told the tow company to tell Santander that because I no longer have an interest in the car, I hope the bank sells it **** so I can get my name off that title for the car since Santander didnt want to work with me. I had good credit prior to this (680) which has now gone down to 510, and keeps dropping because Santander keeps reporting late payments, but they refused to work with me here. PLEASE HELP. THIS HAS AFFECTED MY CHANCE OF GETTING A CAR.

      I am so upset I was paying Santander with no problem auto pay through my ***************. So because 1 payment was insufficient funds. They had stop taking payments from my bank. I was not aware until I started getting checks in the mail for 207. Which is auto pay. So then I call to see why they are rejecting my payments and now I have a bunch of late fees added. This is fraud to me. Im making payments but they keep rejecting them. at the same time ruining my credit and harassing me calling all hours of the day stating I have not paid and they are reviewing me for repossession of my car. All of my cars have been paid off and in good standing with my Tesla. Santander is not right and something has to be done.

      Very shady banking process especially in auto loan division.Better banks with better rates than they have here, plus the other establishment actually care about their clients best interest.

      0/10 Stars, have paid the same amount for four years via mailing a check. The last two months they keep saying that the account isn't valid, causing me to cancel the check and resend another check which gets cashed.I feel like they are using this as a way to collect late fees.

      Absolutely terrible to work with. I e had a perfect payment record with these clowns. Trying to reinstate my autopay, has been absurd process. You would think that they would want to get paid with ease. Cannot get a supervisor to call back with the intent to make this process easy. I wont be using them again for any consumer loan. Terrible customer service and process.

      This bank has been horrible in so many ways, so bad that I decided to close my account and move to another bank. But even that is impossible. I have called twice in the past month to close my account, and each time I was assured it would be closed within 3 business days. It has been an entire month and still the account is not closed. It should be illegal for a company not to close your account when you ask them to!

      If I could leave 0 stars I would. This company is absolutely ridiculous. We sent a payoff check for over $26k to pay off my vehicle and they are refusing to update my account to show payment received. The check was sent out on 3/14, its 3/31 and still no update. My **** tracking showed it was delivered on 3/22 now they are trying to tell me it was delivered on 3/30, a Sunday? I have never had this many issues with a car loan company. I will never recommend using this awful place. They have no care or concern for the people they serve. Run as far as you can do not use this company.
