    NOTE - THIS SERVES NOTICE ON NEEDING TO READ THE FINE PRINT, TERMS OF SERVICE WE SO OFTEN SKIP OVER HAVING DEALTH WITH REPUTABLE SERVICE PROVIDERS.My bank account was dinged overnight for $28.22 but I did not recognize the service provider ID. Before contacting my bank, I did a search engine search on ALL* YOU C 19.99_V (US currency). Imagine my surprise to be led to the BBB website!I have a disability and it appears that the small-print legal contract we all normally accept and click continue (here most certainly) as shown in my attachments caught me along with others in a one-way trap. Yes you can cancel to avoid billing but it is very, very difficult to do so.I have cancelled immediately, finding sadly NO cancellation directions in anything but the terms of service contract. Their site says call them at the phone numbers listed below regarding issues - but none are shown! See attachments. I am home bound with a car accident brain injury, so to have to fight/struggle after the fact frustrates me. To see upon login no means of cancellation easily found? To see that the fine print lists out all the things they will not do to facilitate a full, easy and fair assessment of a service?All the many listed complaints herein show a business seemingly setup for machine-gun like responses about terms, emails received, sent and cancellations. My groceries this week go short having seen also that I should have checked out everything so carefully first. I feel so foolish and sad.I am further puzzled as I cannot find any signup page again to figure out exactly what I opted into? So in summary, my life consists of reading now in my room, eating and sleeping. I can do none of them as it appears clear my checking out this provider set up someone with a disability to struggle to receive any acceptable means of customer service. Stuff happens. They have the opportunity to make things right and I hope i can report a full resolution.

    Customer signed up on 06/23/************* AM and canceled online themselves through their account on 08/28/************* AM.

    When signing up, customer checked the box agreeing to the terms & conditions of our services during the signup process. All the information of the 30-day trial is clearly explained on our website. We also sent a confirmation email right after signup with all the relevant information. We cannot issue a refund in our system 6 months after trial ended.

    I called to cancel the subscription that they said I ordered when I only wanted to do the free trial and they wanted my credit card number to cancel it. I told them they would have to look me up another way because they were not getting my credit card number over the phone and he cussed me and told me off and said that he wasnt going to do it. He told me .F___you I told him that I had not been charged anything yet although they had tried to collect money and I told him that he did not need my credit card information in order to cancel my account but he insisted that he did. I felt like that it was inappropriate for him to want my financial payment information in order **** to cancel the account with the company.

    We have no record of any calls from this customer. Its possible the agent was unable to lookup the customer and therefore asked for card on file to lookup the account. At NO time has any of our agents ever used such language with any customer ever! This would have been an immediate termination and all calls are monitored. Customer canceled the account online herself on 08/09/2023 05:55:13 PM CST. Customer has not been charged and received the following cancel confirmation at time of cancellation.

    In Sept. 2022, I signed up for the 30-day free trial at "All You Can" books. I cant remember if you can see the titles PRIOR to signing up... I assumed current, popular titles would be available. I was wrong. I vaguely remember cancelling this subscription... since I NEVER USED IT AT ALL... When my husband brought attention to the reoccurring charge (which he thought I was using) I was so upset... NO receipts/ NO emails/ NO NOTHING in terms of a "friendly reminder" that you are paying them around $21 a month! THE *** IS EXPLORING THIS TACTIC... called "dark patterns" to DECEIVE (not lie to but DECEIVE) consumers. (********************************************************) I need half of my monthly payments I have made since 9/22 (unbenounced to me) refunded on my method of original payment. If not, I plan to take my frustration to the local CONSUMER REPORTER(S) ON THE ***** NEWS STATIONS. They should have plenty of angry people to interview.

    All the information about the service, trial and monthly billing is clearly explained right on the home page. Customer signed up and checked the box agreeing to the terms & conditions of our services during the signup process.Terms were also provided on the signup page, confirmation page and in the confirmation email customer received after signing up. As explained in the terms, there are no refunds after the trial ends. I can see the customer signed in on 06/21/************* PM CST and canceled the account themselves on our cancellation page. Customer received a cancellation email at that time. The account was closed and there have been no further charges.

    I ordered a free trial through all you can books - and during the trial I cancelled it as it did not have a good selection of books. Unexpectedly July 13th I was charged $27 for a full month. I contacted customer service 3 times and explained and asked for a refund. They refuse to acknowledge my request and instead told me that since they are so great - they will give me access to their library until Aug 8th - that would be when this period expires. "We have canceled your account so that there will be NO more charges. However, as a thank you for giving us a try, we'll keep your account active for the remainder of your prepaid term." Direct quote from their email. I just want a refund, I did not budget for that money to be taken out of my account.

    I signed up for a trial membership to see what audiobook options they had to offer. As soon as I signed up, I saw there was nothing that i would enjoy. I sent an email immediately 6/7/23 canceling my membership because I could not find anywhere on the site to cancel. To be 100% clear - I have never downloaded anything from this company. On 7/7/23. They ended up charging my card $19.99 and after several emails and me canceling my membership a 2nd time they refuse to acknowledge that i canceled my membership, refuse to issue a refund as their stance is that the rolled a trial membership into a subscription. The wording of the email I received seems to be as if I should be so fortunate that I should be so lucky to have had s membership and a whole month free with them - I never used them and I canceled immediately! Deceptive, scam service luring in book lovers! I see reading the other BBB reviews, its not just me

Customer canceled the account 1 month later on 07/07/2023 03:04:33 AM cst. As a one-time courtesy, customer was issued a refund 2 days ago.

    After signing up for a free 30-day trial and seeing they offered none of the books I was looking for, I immediately tried to cancel trial. When I signed up they said I would be charged $11.99 after 30 days so did not want to pay that. Theres no way to do it on their page so I emailed them (same day as sign up) requesting for immediate cancellation. I immediately received an automatic response saying due to back-up, they would get back w me as soon as possible. A few days later, I sent another email and received the same response. Well they not only drafted my account but drafted $19.99 from it! This is an absolute scam and cost more then Amazon kindle unlimited and offers less books! I emailed them telling them I need a refund and still havent heard back. I want to make sure this doesnt happen to anyone else so I am reporting them (something i dont take lightly and have never done before before).

    Customer emailed on June 1 asking for link to cancel. We emailed customer following instructions with link to cancel. See copies of both emails below. Customer did not cancel at that time. After trial ended and customer was charged, customer emailed on July 3 and we sent her the instructions again same day. Customer reset their password 2 days later on July 5 and canceled their account at that time and was sent a cancel confirmation email.

    Customer also states charge was supposed to be $11.99 but it was clearly stated on our website and in terms to which customer agreed that after the ****** trial the monthly fee is $19.99.

    Company is deceptive with their cancellation policies. Emailed after trial for cancellation. Charged ***** then emailed AGAIN to cancel & was charged ANOTHER *****. This company has the most difficult route to cancel their services which just shows they do not WANT to make it easy to cancel. Then no communication to my email. I expect to resolve by getting 2 mo of unwanted subscription charged at ***** x 2 & immediately taken off subscriber list & acct. This website is the definition of a con job. I expect immediate resolution!

    Enrolled for free trial and cancelled trial after a few hours when discovered contact was of extreme poor quality. That was 3 months ago and I recently found out they have been taking money out of my account since and the last instance was for an amount 4 times greater than the advertised monthly fee. I contacted them and they deny receiving my cancellation request, which you do directly through their site so I have no record. I searched reviews for this site a many others have had the same experience. I not only want the money theyve stolen I want for them to stop doing this. I would appreciate any help you can offer.

Customer reset their password on 06/22/************* PM. Customer emailed that day again and was again sent instructions how to cancel online. Customer canceled account online on 06/23/************* PM CST. Customer downloaded *********************** and foreign language courses during their membership. Account is now canceled and customer can continue to use the service until 07/17/2023 as explained in the cancellation email.

    The date of the transaction was on 4/3/2023. I contacted them the next day to cancel my subscription that I wasn't aware of and ask for a refund, they said they would send the money back. I called them today(4/11/23) for an update and now they've changed there mind for some reason and refuse to refund

    "ALL YOU CAN BOOKS" is a dishonest business. My wife likes to listen to audio books and I assume she signed up for a free trial, back in May of 2020. Neither she nor I ever used the service and never knew that this company was continuing to bill our credit card for $19.99 / month for about 2 1/2 years. When I finally noticed this, I emailed the company and notified Discovercard, the credit card which was billed. "ALL YOU CAN BOOKS" would not refund our money. I disputed the charges to ************ and initially they refunded all of the charges but ended up re-charging us, saying that we lost our dispute. This 'free trial' business practice needs to be watched closley by all of us. I understand that it's our responsibility to manage these things, but when mistakes happen and it's clear that the service was never used, an honest business would refund the money. If we were using the service through the years, I wouldn't expect anything, but we never used it as far as I can tell. We charged 28 months * $19.99 totaling $579.71 from ***************.We are not the only ones either. This company has many other complaints against them and needs to be held accountable.

    This is how All You Can Books  has responded so far. Essentially saying, 'we make much of our money by taking advantage of people who sign up for a free trial and forget about it. An honest company would look at the lack of any activity by the person and understand exactly what happened. They would simply refund the money. This company just doesn't have any integrity. If they did, they would make plenty of money by people subscribing and actually using their service.
