On June 22 2025, I went online to purchase tickets for a musical show at The Iron Horse. The default number of tickets was 5 so I changed that to 2. I then noticed the high cost of the tickets and fees so I clicked on ticket options hoping to see an option to stop by the theater and purchase the tickets in person. The information provided didnt offer any other options than buying from this website so I clicked back to my purchase page where a pop-up told me I only 10 minutes in which to buy these tickets. Feeling some pressure, I clicked on pay and was not taken to a review your purchase screen, as I expected, but to a transaction completed screen. To my consternation, I saw that I was being charged for 5 tickets, not 2: $441.60! (Tickets, I found out afterwards, that cost only $24 at The Iron Horse.) They mustve reverted to the default number of tickets for some reason.I called the company right away and was told that I would not receive a refund, nor would they give me a credit for future shows. This is a non-transparent, misleading website with predatory practices, especially effective, I imagine, with older persons (I am 70) who are not as savvy as young people.

June 10th 2025, I purchased concert tickets through them with an extreme markup the total with taxes and fees was $316.92. They sent two emails stating more information would follow. No further information follows. There's a live chat feature that instantly disconnects from the chat. I made multiple attempts all are the same. The 888 number for the business states the business is not open at this time, and automatically hangs up on me.

Thank you for reaching out to us. At TicketSales.com, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customers concerns. It should be noted that TicketSales.com is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate ticketsinstead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. As such, TicketSales.com does not control the delivery of electronically transferred tickets. Rather, tickets are transferred to our customer directly from the original ticket holder.

In this case tickets for our customer's event were initially delivered to the email address associated with the order shortly after it was confirmed on 6/10/2025. At that time an email with a ticket transfer link was sent to the email address entered by the customer at the time of purchase. We contacted our customer on the day of their event to address any delivery issues they may have still had after filing this claim. We confirmed  the tickets were transferred a second time, and that the correct tickets were sent to the email address provided by the customer. It should be noted that the order in questions has been considered fulfilled and, as it presently stands, we consider this matter closed.

Wanted to purchase 2 tickets at $42.50 for the Strange Advance show on Jun 13/25 , *************** on ************. The total price shown was $106.73 including $21.73 service charge. However, on my bank statement the transaction showed up as $208.68 from Ticketsales.com!!! This is almost double of the original price and I definitely didnt agree to it. The downloadable tickets only arrived 2 days before the event with someone elses name, credit card info and ORIGINAL price on them. Phone calls to Ticketsales.com got me nowhere. I expect a refund for the difference, and for the full amount if tickets arent useable as ID is required at the entrance.

Thank you for reaching out to us. At TicketSales.com, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customer’s concerns. It should be noted that TicketSales.com is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers, and include disclosures that tickets may be above face value throughout our website.

Once our customer selected the event they were interested in, Strange Advance (19+ Event), they navigated to the ticket listing page. On this page, the ticket listings displayed the ticket price and allowed the customer to choose a ticket quantity. Please note the customer is able to view the listing notes for the tickets they selected which state, "You must be 19 years of age or older with photo identification to attend this event." After the customer selected their listing, they were directed to the checkout page. Here, customers are provided a detailed order summary which shows the event information, ticket location, and price per ticket. Below this order summary, there is a disclosure indicating: “We are a leading secondary marketplace. Tickets may be above or below face value. We are not affiliated with any venue.” Our customer was prompted to provide an email address and was shown the ticket delivery method. Please note that a complete itemized breakdown of our customer’s order total was fully disclosed after selecting the available delivery method and before the customer was asked to enter any payment information.  Finally, at the bottom of the checkout screen the customer was shown our terms stating, "By clicking, Place Order, you agree to the Terms of Use including refund terms and Privacy Policy. You also acknowledge that this site is a resale marketplace and that your credit card will be charged $208.68, which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees. All prices are listed in US Dollars. All sales are final.” Our customer then used the "Place Order" button to complete their purchase, at which time their order was processed.

Prior to receiving this claim, we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer. Please note on 6/14/25 the customer was provided a refund of the service fees as a courtesy.  As all order details in question were accessibly and visibly displayed prior to placing their order, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns pertaining to their order, we encourage them to contact our customer service department.

      Regards,

On May 3, 2025 I requested 2 tickets from TicketSales.com for a performance of Come from Away at the **************, *************** for Friday, 06/27/2025. However, when I received an email from TicketSales.com, it reported that I have purchased 15 tickets (****************). I immediately contacted TicketSales.com to fix the error. I was told that there were no refunds for mistakes, and they believed that the reason I received 15 tickets is because the amount auto populated all the tickets that were still available and it was my fault that I did not read all of the policies involved with ticket sales. When I told them that I felt I have been the victim of fraudulent scamming practices, I was told that it didn't matter because my credit card had already been charged. On June 10, 2025 I went online to the Muny and discovered that all of Ter 3, Row K. is still available for purchase, as well as Row G, H, I , J. and L. When I contacted TicketSales.com to ask how this was possible and if I really had tickets for June 27, 2025, they would not confirm that I had tickets, nor could they provide me with an explanation as to why the tickets that I "owned" were available to purchase. Please see attachments for documentation of what I am reporting.

I wanted two tickets to see my niece at *************************. I looked online and saw ticketsales.com. I looked at the price that said $202 for two tickets and that seemed reasonable. I gave my credit card number and information and before I was shown the total price they charged my account $556! I was not informed that was the amount I would pay. The going rate for a single ticket is less than $90. I immediately called and they said all sales were final. I tried to contact my credit card company immediately and they didnt pick up on a Saturday. I contacted them again on a Monday and had to go through a dispute but they claimed that they couldnt get my money back. This is stealing and unethical. I do not need or want those tickets that are supposed to be emailed to **** would like a refund to my account.Thank you for any help you can give me.

      Customer Answer

The response from TicketSales.com was inaccurate.  I was not shown the price of $556 online before they charged my credit card. I knew the going price of one ticket was less than $100 so I would never had agreed to spend $556 for two tickets. The results is that they stole my money and I would like a full reimbursement. An ethical business would have not done this. They should I. Good faith return my money. Stealing $556 may not be a lot from a business standpoint but it is a lot from a retired person!

      Thanks for your help.

I went to ****** and searched for "the factory" website to buy tickets to a show at a venue named "***********". I did not realize the site I was buying from was a secondary market. I entered the number of tickets that I wanted 2 and the total was $104.00. Then I was prompted to pay now. There were NO itemized charged or I would have seen that each ticket was $143. There were no details given until the purchase was made. There were no breakdowns nor stipulations until after I pressed pay now. This is deceptive and predatory especially for older people. When I called their contact number they refused to help me and suggested I sell them on a secondary market, but they will not deliver the tickets that I already purchased. A full 3 months have gone by and I have seen no indication that they will provide the product that I paid for. I am 52 years old, but I am not stupid. I was scammed. They refused to reverse the charges claiming it was stated-which it wasnt..These people prey on people are not transparent and they trick unsuspecting victims. They should not be allowed to hide the invoice until payment has been made. It is sneaky and predatory especially.

I have been scammed by this company. It is the top search result for the concert that I was buying tickets for and the company is clearly trying to mislead consumers that this is an official website for the venue. I have talked to their customer service *** "***", who lied and gave the same script reading to me over and over. I feel extremely misled and scammed by this company and feel that they are not transparent enough in process. I doubt I will get my Over $400+ back or attend the upcoming concert.

On March 24, 2025, I purchased two tickets for **** ***** at ******************** in **************, **** from ticketsales.com for my sons 40th birthday this August. At this venue(my favorite), they have the pit, the pavilion then the lawn. When I chose the tickets, they had said Lawn1 Row GA-9 leading me to believe that they were two tickets in the pit (since there was a row listed) at $166 each. I clicked the submit order button to THEN receive the breakdown of charges and see that my card was just charged $454.50!! I called ticketsales.com right away and and tried to understand how I couldve been charged so much more! In my conversation with the representative(who was quite rude and unwilling to help), I then established that not only did I pay $454.50 but the tickets I purchased werent even in the pit! They were on the GA lawn and those seats generally cost between $70-$90 each! The way the tickets were listed was very misleading and now Im feeling VERY ripped off! And on top of that, I then asked where are my tickets and they told me that they will not be transferred until August 12! Ive read lots of bad reviews & found that some people never even got their tickets and I would hate to have gone through all this and not even get the tickets! This website is very misleading and honestly, I feel like Ive been scammed. I would love nothing more than to get my money back and never deal with that company ever again! Please help me! Thank you for your time.

However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.

When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.

BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.

As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
