Yesterday my minor aged daughter purchased a concert ticket through this website using her personal bank account. The website is very misleading and appears to be the venue's website, but does not clearly communicate that this is actually a third party website. When she complained of not receiving her ticket I checked into it and saw this was a third party with massive upcharges. Today I chatted with a representative from ticketsales.com and explained the unauthorized purchase by a minor. He denied the refund. I explained that she hasnt received her ticket and requested a refund, and again he denied it. I let him know I contacted my bank and intend to let them know this was an unauthorized purchase by a minor, and was still refused the refund.I want the money refunded. This is an unacceptable business practice. Refusing to issue refund of purchase made by a minor, wildly misleading website, and failure to deliver purchased product. This is fraud.

On 16th May 2025 at 4:25pm I was purchasing ticket for "Aint too proud, the life and times of the Temptations" for the May 28th performance, on what I thought was the Porttix website. First, I did not realize that I had been redirected and was accessing instead Ticketsales.com. I proceeded with Ticketsales.com and selected to purchase only (2) tickets, submitting my credit card information and immediately was provided with the electronic sales receipt for (16) tickets at a total cost of $5684.16. My response to that erroneous purchase, was to immediately respond with an email to: *********************** as follows: "I ordered two tickets for this event and somehow this got changed to 16 tickets. I do NOT want 16 tickets!!!!! If you can't do anything, I will dispute the charge with the credit card company. Please cancel this order" Sent at 7:08pm. There was no response to this email. Since this was a weekend, they were not available by phone, so I had to wait until Monday. I then followed up and called on Monday, May 19th at 1:23pm and provided the same information and asked for this purchase to be cancelled. The customer service agent only said "all sales are final" ignoring the fact that I had NOT ordered 16 tickets! I did submit to my credit card company a request to dispute the charges once the charges were posted to the credit card on Monday May 19th. After my call to Ticketsales.com, On May 19th at 5:04pm I received an email from ********************** indicating that I could download and print my tickets. The performance is for May 28, 2025, I wish to resolve this issue immediately by cancelling this erroneous order completely before this performance date. My request is that BBB will be able to facilitate the resolution of this issue.

Thank you for reaching out to us. At ***********, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customers concerns. It should be noted that TicketSales is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate ticketsinstead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers, and include disclosures that tickets may be above face value throughout our website.

Once our customer selected the event they were interested in, ********** - A Musical Adventure, they navigated to the ticket listing page. On this page, the ticket listings  displayed the ticket price and allowed the customer to choose a ticket quantity. After the customer selected their listing, they were directed to the checkout page. Here, customers are provided a detailed order summary which shows the event information, ticket location, and price per ticket. Below this order summary, there is a disclosure indicating: We are a leading secondary marketplace. Tickets may be above or below face value. We are not affiliated with any venue. Our customer was prompted to provide an email address and was shown the ticket delivery method. Please note that a complete itemized breakdown of our customers order total was fully disclosed after selecting the available delivery method and before the customer was asked to enter any payment information.  Finally, at the bottom of the checkout screen the customer was shown our terms stating, "By clicking, Place Order, you agree to the Terms of Use including refund terms and Privacy Policy. You also acknowledge that this site is a resale marketplace and that your credit card will be charged $814.80, which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees. All prices are listed in US Dollars. All sales are final. Our customer then used the "Place Order" button to complete their purchase, at which time their order was processed.

In addition to this current claim, our customer filed a dispute with their financial institution regarding this transaction. We have addressed this, and the dispute was ultimately ruled in our favor. If our customer has any further questions regarding this dispute, we encourage them to reach out to the financial institution with which it was filed. We have attempted to contact the customer in order to provide an amicable resolution but have not been able to reach them. We encourage the customer to contact our customer service team so that we may discuss a resolution.

On May 17, I purchased 2 tickets for a ****** ******* concert 5/27/25 at the *********** in **********, **. My charge was for 6 tickets, not 2. My problem is almost identical to one noted in a complaint dated 4/25 of this year. I contacted their customer service within minutes of seeing the mistaken charge. Also, as with the person complaining before, I tried their Live Chat, but their responses were unhelpful and were robotic, predetermined responses refusing to take responsibility. I have also filed a dispute with the credit card company and will pursue further legal action if I do not receive a refund. The company says they do not give refunds, but looking at the BBB site, they DO give refunds for the exact same problem I have. But apparently they only do this if a formal complaint to the BBB is filed. For reference, here is a quote from a complaint made by another customer just last month. Charging for 6 tickets when 2 are purchased seems to be the start of a pattern."TicketSales.com is a re-seller platform that mislead, overcharge and defrauds customers with unfair and deceptive practices. I purchased 1 ticket for a venue in June priced at $ ***** and they ended up overcharging me for six tickets in the total amount of ******. I immediately contacted their customer service number and they refused to refund me the additional extra tickets or give me a clear explanation for the overcharge. I also tried to contact them via live chat and they even refused to acknowledge my complaint ... A complaint with the office of the attorney general for the state of Florida was filed and a dispute with the credit card company was submitted."I would like my purchase cancelled and my payment refunded, Thank you for your attention.

So it started I bought tickets to the *** ***** Concerts at the ********************* in ************* ******* It was through ticket master at first I made a mistake and bought just one ticket then realized I made a mistake and ordered again to get two I kept the other one and invited a friend I got an email stating it was I think $184.39 They cancelled the one ticket and put it with the two I ordered without asking after I already invited a friend so I called to fix it and they said it wasn't through ticket master I checked my bank account and next thing I know it was $382.00 with the exchange they said there was nothing they could do as I already accepted the ticket it was misleading cause they email said it was only $184.39 not $382 I understand about the exchange but the email should have said the exchange rate not the other amount and I wouldn't have not accepted it I either want a refund full amount or I want two free tickets for the hassle

Thank you for reaching out to us. At Ticket Sales, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customers concerns. It should be noted that Ticket Sales is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate ticketsinstead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Directly on our website it states, TicketSales.com is a trusted secondary marketplace. Prices set by sellers may be above or below face value.

Once our customer selected the event they were interested in, 38 Special, they navigated to the ticket listing page. On this page, the ticket listings displayed the ticket price and allowed the customer to choose a ticket quantity. After the customer selected their listing, they were directed to the checkout page. All sales are final. Our customer then used the "Place Order" button to complete their purchase, at which time their order was processed.

Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an all sales are final policya standard throughout the industry. Prior to receiving this claim we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer to address all of their concerns. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; nevertheless, our customer's event took place on 5/9/25 and in the interest of customer service we have issued a refund of their service fees to resolve this matter.  At this time, we consider this matter resolved. If our customer has further questions regarding their order, we encourage them to contact our customer service team for assistance.

I was not aware that this was a third party site. On May 5 I purchased 2 tickets for a concert in *****. I was not offered a breakdown of the additional charges until it was a done deal. After the purchase, I checked around a bit and similar tickets were half the price or less. My charge was $591.34 and this 75 year old widow and retired teacher who still has to work to pay for her medications was totally ripped off. Additionally after purchase I was informed that the electronic tickets would not be sent until the day before the concert. This was totally price gouging and important information that was not made until after purchase.

I purchased tickets for an event but had to immediately request a cancellation or refund due to a close family member being placed in hospice care. I have documentation verifying this situation. Unfortunately, the company enforces a strict no-refund policy, regardless of the circumstances. Their only suggestion was for me to attempt to resell the ticketsdespite the fact that these were already resale tickets sold at nearly four times the original price.Communication with the company has been extremely difficult, and their lack of empathy during a personal crisis is deeply disappointing. Whether they are a reseller or a direct ticket provider, unexpected life events occur, and some flexibility should be shown in compassionate cases. Even with ******* insurance, the process to receive any support has been unnecessarily complex. My experience with this company has been overwhelmingly negative.
