I am writing to report a transaction that just occurred tonight around 10pm April 25th 2025. I clicked on a website that looked like a venue website: (The ***** in ******* )to buy tickets for a show. I was redirected to a third party website called TicketSales.com. This third party website sold me tickets not only for almost triple the price of the original venue tickets - but forced me to pay service and delivery fees that were not identified until AFTER I had purchased the ticket. The tickets on the original venue website are $24. The Tickets on the TicketSales.com site advertised as $45. I was under the impression that $45 was going to be charged to my card. AFTER I had already submitted my card information and purchased the ticket - I was notified that $67.54 was actually charged to my account for "service and delivery" fees. I was NEVER notified of these upcharges until AFTER my credit card info was submitted. I would ****** have purchased these tickets at that price. There was not option for refund nor was there a solid resolution. I feel robbed. This is a complete scam, unethical and should not be legal.Business Response

Thank you for reaching out to us. We appreciate the opportunity to provide further clarification regarding our customer's concerns. Please note that as a resale marketplace Ticket Sales does not generate tickets or hold any inventory. This is clearly disclosed on our site prior to purchase. All our customers are guaranteed to receive their tickets in time for their event. The seller who list on our site, purchase their tickets directly from the primary market and list their inventory on our platform, this assures our customer's receive valid and authentic tickets
Once our customer selected the event they were interested in, Moon Hooch, they navigated to the ticket listing page. On this page, the ticket listings displayed the ticket price and allowed the customer to choose a ticket quantity. After the customer selected their listing, they were directed to the checkout page. Here, customers are provided a detailed order summary which shows the event information, ticket location, and price per ticket. Below this order summary, there is a disclosure indicating: We are a leading secondary marketplace. Tickets may be above or below face value. We are not affiliated with any venue. Our customer was prompted to provide an email address and was shown the ticket delivery method. Please note that a complete itemized breakdown of our customers order total was fully disclosed after selecting the available delivery method and before the customer was asked to enter any payment information. Finally, at the bottom of the checkout screen the customer was shown our terms stating, "By clicking, Place Order, you agree to the Terms of Use including refund terms and Privacy Policy. You also acknowledge that this site is a resale marketplace and that your credit card will be charged $67.54, which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees. All prices are listed in US Dollars. All sales are final. Our customer then used the "Place Order" button to complete their purchase, at which time their order was processed.
Prior to receiving this claim, we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer. We maintain that all order details were disclosed prior to purchase. However, It should be noted that our customer's event took place on 4/26/25 and in the interest of customer service we have issued a refund of their fees to resolve this matter. At this time, we consider this matter resolved. If our customer has further questions regarding their order, we encourage them to contact our customer service team for assistance.

TicketSales.com is a re-seller platform that mislead, overcharge and defrauds customers with unfair and deceptive practices. I purchased 1 ticket for a venue in June priced at $ ***** and they ended up overcharging me for six tickets in the total amount of ******. I immediately contacted their customer service number and they refused to refund me the additional extra tickets or give me a clear explanation for the overcharge. I also tried to contact them via live chat and they even refused to acknowledge my complaint. To make things worse, the venue is not until June 22, 2025 and they wont release the tickets until June 20 which is only 2 days before the venue making it impossible for the consumer to try to resell the tickets. A complaint with the office of the attorney general for the state of Florida was filed and a dispute with the credit card company was submitted.Business Response

I bought *** tickets for a game that is occurring in 2025 where the ******************* play *********** in **. Order #********. When I received the email confirmation, it said the date was March 7th 2026, which these 2 teams will unlikely be playing each other. The schedule wont even be out until next year so there is no way the seller could know this. Plus there are no *** games in March. When I contacted the company they told me the game is on the date of 3/7/26, and they would not work with me. The seats were listed as $249/each + $80 service fee. I was charged $1175, which is way over what I should have paid. The seller has since taken down the sales site for the game.Business Response

I saw a musical event that I wanted to attend with my wife and disabled child. I went to the event location which i am very familiar with. I reviewed the event information, looked at seating availability, and decided to purchase tickets online. There was a box that said "purchase tickets" so I clicked on it. All the time I assumed i was still on the local event box office. I selected the seats I wanted and clicked purchase. I entered my credit card information. Shortly after I got notice that my card had been hit for the purchase amount. The amount was $385.14. Shortly after that purchase, I discovered that they had $128.38 per ticket but I knew they were only supposed to be $49. I put a hold on my CC payment. several days later, I got a msg. from CC that the charge was legitimate and they could not refund. i phoned ticketsales.com and they said they could not refund my money as the tix were "electronic". i informed them that they had "duped" the event centers website and falsely directed me to their site and not TICKETMASTER, as intended. I filed a complaint with ticketsales.com, Ticketmaster, and the local event center. This is obviously malfeasance. I would like a full refundBusiness Response

I purchased two tickets for a concert in ****** ****** at the ******** on May 15th, 2025. The website said the tickets would cost $55 each and I was expecting to pay $110 dollars in total (which is over a 100% mark up of what the venue is charging). My complaint is that they charged an additional service and email fee of $45 without even listing these fees prior to making the purchase. On top of that, the order confirmation **** said I would not receive tickets until May 14th, which is one day before the show. I emailed and called the company several times asking that they refund me the service and email fee but did not receive a satisfactory resolution.Business Response

I purchased tickets to a concert on March 1st, 2025 and the day before the show, the concert was rescheduled to a date I would not be in that city. I called for a refund and they were awful - refused to help and would only say that normally the tickets can be resold. Terrible customer service - I would never use them again.Business Response

On March 14, 2025 I was ordering 4 $25.00 tickets for That 1 Mailman at the DC Comedy Loft. I somehow got redirected to Ticket ********* without realizing it and continued with my order. In fairness I did see the figure $116.00 but I thought that amount was for all 4 tickets with a service charge, since the tickets were selling for $25.00 each. I entered my personal information with cc info and continued with the checkout, to only find that my order was confirmed for $677.15. At NO time did this site offer a review of my order with the total amount before it was confirmed. There was NO disclosure from them as to all the fees they were charging. Only after emailing Ticketsales.com with my complaint did they give me a breakdown of the charges so they could maintain their transparency during checkout process. What a joke! They charged me $116.00 for each ticket, delivery fee of $14.95, $37.48 for taxes and a service fee of $160.72! This is the first and only time I saw all of the fees. This website is deceptive and downright fraudulent. Of course they replied that it was noted that all sales are final and no refunds. The solution they offered was for me to sell my tickets on social media. Unbelievable, this is a horrible website, deceptive and borderline fraudulent. Oh I almost forgot, my special deliver fee of $14.95 is picking the tickets up at Will ******* this current time my bank will not refund me as I have disputed this charge. I can not believe with all of the complaints I have just read on BBB that this company is still allowed to remain in business.Business Response

Thank you for reaching out to us. At TicketSales.com, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customers concerns. It should be noted that TicketSales.com is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate ticketsinstead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers, and include disclosures that tickets may be above face value throughout our website.
Once our customer selected the event they were interested in, ***** *******, they navigated to the ticket listing page. You also acknowledge that this site is a resale marketplace and that your credit card will be charged $663.40, which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees. All prices are listed in US Dollars. All sales are final. Our customer then used the "Place Order" button to complete their purchase, at which time their order was processed.
Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an all sales are final policya standard throughout the industry. In addition to this current claim, our customer filed a dispute with their financial institution regarding this transaction. We have addressed this, and the dispute was ultimately ruled in our favor. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; nevertheless, our customer's event took place on 12/12/24 and in the interest of customer service we have issued a refund of their service fees to resolve this matter. At this time, we consider this matter resolved. If our customer has further questions regarding their order, we encourage them to contact our customer service team for assistance.

I am rejecting this response because: while they did refund $160.00, the amount is insufficient considering that these tickets that I didn't even accept, cost me a total of $663.00.Business Response

Thank you for this additional response and the opportunity to once again clarify our policy surrounding the customer's concern. As previously stated, Ticket Sales is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate ticketsinstead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Directly on our website it states, TicketSales.com is a trusted secondary marketplace. Prices set by sellers may be above or below face value.
It should be noted, tickets for our customer's event were transferred electronically through a third-party platform to the email address they provided during checkout on 12/11/24 at 11:36 AM CST. As all order details and terms were sufficiently displayed prior to the customer completing their order we consider this matter closed and no further resolution may be provided. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.
