I purchased tickets from Tickesales.com on 9/26/22 for what I thought was a total expense of $870. The service fees were hidden when the transaction and it was not until a charge of $1129 was pending on my credit card did I realize Ticketsales.com charged my card an additional $259. The show is not set to take place until 11/22. I called same day requesting a refund and expressed I would have not purchased the tickets had I seen the cost of the service fees. They would not refund my money nor allow me to speak to someone who could. This company is deceptive and unreasonable. The lack of transparency in charges is alarming and cause for consumer concern.Business Response

I purchased tickets in May for a concert on October 1st. I never received the tickets, though I have "chatted" with the TicketSales.com reps numerous times. Each time they told me the tickets would be emailed, though they never told me when or FROM WHOM the email would come. I have since purchased other tickets from Ticketmaster. Since I filed my complaint with you, I've received notice of 4 tickets pending through Ticketmaster from a "**** *******" . I haven't accepted them as I don't need them, having purchased new tickets last week; I am also unsure of their authenticity. At any rate, I am not in the position to try to sell them. I spoke with TicketSales yesterday, they have no intention of refunding my money & encouraged me to accept the tickets sent (only after learning of my complaint to BBB). I want TicketSales to refund my money, I suggested they take the unclaimed tickets and sell them; again, a no. The concert is tomorrow night.

On August 5 my girlfriend ordered tickets from ticketsales.com for a Blue Rodeo concert at the PNE. We bought two tickets in section 6 row 3. As she was already in the site, I gave her my MasterCard number to purchase them. She thought that the price was approximately $50 each. When I received the order summary statement it was made out for the bleachers row 3. I read through the summary and the order at the bottom stated the cost was for 244.86! The next day I read my credit card statement and was astounded to see that my MasterCard bill was now 325.92! I am immediately called the customer support number and the woman stated that this was the exchange rate and there were no refunds.
I immediately phoned Mastercard. I waited 5 1/2 hours to talk to someone and eventually called the bank and was cut off twice. I called back and put in a complaint.
The "tickets" arrived August 18 but in order to actually get them they wanted more information. They wanted me to download a program, preferably on my home computer and provide other information in order to actually get the "tickets"
By this time I had been researching this company and realized we had been scammed.
I had my identity stolen about six years ago (30,000$) so in no way was I going to give this company any more information. I went to the Royal Bank in person and filled out another complaint with the branch manager. She also advised me that I had been right to not give them anymore information.
According to the credit card company, if we got the tickets before the show we would have to pay the amount of $325.92. That being said, we did not actually get the tickets. Just a confirmation asking for more information. I tried to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau at that time but by then ticket sales had removed their contact information. I'm unable to attach the e-mail exchanges (computer challenged) but I can forward them if they are needed.

I purchased tickets through TicketSales.com because I believed that I was buying tickets with seats. The information when I bought the tickets indicated that these were in the orchestra section.
The tickets are available through the venue for $25.50-$48.50 each. Ticketsales.com charged me $2879.28 for 9 tickets. In addition to the price being outrageous, they portray themselves as third party "seller" but don't own any tickets to sell. I was not told they were being marked up and was misled by the marketing.
About 20 minutes later, my credit card notified me that I had a charge higher than normal and I called TicketSales.com immediately to ask to reverse the charge. Their response was that there was nothing they could do, but I could look to resell the tickets myself on another platform. The business is unethical. They are online scalpers and I would like a full refund.Business Response

I went on a theater website *********** and ticket sales.com came up and I thought it was the ******* website so they must be misleading. I ordered 6 Tickets August 30 early morning when I finally clicked purchased I found there were excessing fees and the 6 tickets were about 3 times the cost. I am not sent tickets they claim tickets will come later, so this also made me suspicious I immediately called and could not get through, then I went to their chat room and explained my issue and asked for a refund and was turned down. I emailed the website and was responded to and I again explained what happened and was also turned down. I will be contacting the credit card company and disputing this charge as the company was misleading. I will also be contacting the attorney general in their state to also file a complaint. On 8/31/22 I ordered from what I thought was the website for the actual venue I wanted to see a show at. It was the first place to pop up on the google search, and it even looked a lot like the website so I didn't question it. It wasn't until after I confirmed the order that I realized my mistake. I INSTANTLY called and asked them to not put the order through but I was told that since it was confirmed (which happens in seconds) they couldn't do anything and sales were final. No amount of arguing would change their mind. I just paid $50+ more than I needed to, especially with all of their extra fees (Who charges $6.95 for EMAIL delivery of tickets!?) and I also don't have my tickets, nor can they tell me when I'll get my tickets. This business does not actually provide the service that they claim. I bought tickets for over $80 than they are worth, and never received my order. Hundreds of other reviewers have had the exact same issue with ticketsales.com. Their customer service is also nonexistent. I strongly believe that this 'business' has not intentions to provide the service or give my money back. They simply give you credit towards another purchase that they will never provide. I ordered two tickets to the August 20th, 2pm matinee of the Devils Wears Prada. A show closing the following day, to support a friend who was in it. The tickets were purchased on August 9th for $167.46 with additional insurance of $15.50. A confirmation number was emailed to me the same day of my order telling me that they would email me soon with further details on how to accept my tickets. The friend I was going with then purchased $80 per person train tickets to Chicago since we live 4 hours away. I was then emailed and told that the tickets would be available on the 20th, the day of the show, which I later thought was odd. I received an email on the 15th that the tickets had been sent to me, but I received no other email with the tickets. I called ticketsales.com on the 17th to request they be sent earlier than the 20th or that I get a refund. Their response was that they could not give me a refund but that they would request a retransfer of the tickets. The 17th of August still gave me time in which I could have gotten a refund and purchased other tickets and they did not comply. My friend encouraged me that we should be hopeful and the tickets would arrive the same day as promised, though things already seemed shady. 5 calls on the 20th and several hours later I still did not receive tickets at the time of the show and at that point the event was sold out and I could not purchase other tickets. And we had spent a 4 hour train ride to get there only to not experience the event. We spent $176 in train tickets, $167 in original tickets, and $15.50 in insurance. Please Refund us the cost of our trip and tickets, a total of $358.50Business Response

I purchased these tickets with the understanding that this would be for assigned seating Row 10 seats 29 and 30. Well come to find out that these tickets are general admission. I paid over $400 for these tickets and was mislead with the belief that I was buying reserved seating. These tickets are also substantially marked up. I paid $465 for tickets that should have been closer to $200. The marketing of this business is dishonest and they are price gouging customers with excessively inflated prices.
