      Services rendered on 6/19/2023 by St ****** *************** Payment demanded prior to services was not what is owed. Insurance has paid amount approved on 7/7/2023. On 8/15 I made inquiry as to refund of difference paid. I was told in fact there should be a refund, and the process was initiated. Called again on 9/12, confirmed there is a refund pending, but that it had not been REQUESTED. Why do I have to request a refund of money clearly owed to me. Ok acknowledge the refund due and process. 10 to 12 weeks. This is unacceptable. They had no problems immediately processing my payment. They should be able to refund what they owe me as promptly.

      February 16, 2023 I went to ******************* in ****** **** for an imaging appointment. I paid upfront for the service which was $634.31. After I received information from my insurance company that they had actually covered the imaging service 100%. I contacted Steward health to receive a refund in April 19, 2023 I spoke with someone named ******. They first told me that they would refund it back to my Discover card. I did not receive any refund. So I called in May and they said I would receive a check in 10 to 12 weeks. On July 26, 2023 I called and they informed me the check was approved on May 5, 2023. And they said if I did not receive the check by next week to call. I did not receive the check and I called on August 3, 2023. They told me on August 3 that they would cancel the check and reverse the funds back to my Discover card. They told me it would take 10 business days. On August 21, 2023. They told me that the reversal was still not approved and that I would receive the funds within 14 business days. It has been so many months and I still have not received my money back. They acknowledge every single time on the phone call that I am owed the $634.31. A business should not be holding patient funds hostage. They have been paid twice for one service once by my insurance company and once by me. Them holding onto the money is making me suffer financially. I have a surgery upcoming and I need the funds in order to pay for the surgery. Every single time I call they tell me a different story. And I have asked multiple times for a supervisor and they never let me talk to one.

      I have been due a refund if $267.81. The last time I was seen at the ****************** center in ****** was before the birth of my child on 7/12/22. I had to wait for insurance processing to determine I had over paid for services. In may of 2023 I received a call stating I had a refund and would have it within **** weeks. Ten weeks would have been July 14 2023. I still have not received anything. Their system shows a refund but no check number so its still being held in the treasury department. They are doing nothing to process this. I call weekly and hear the same speech from ***************************. I just want the money I over paid from over a year ago.

      I was suppose to have a surgery done at ********************** back in July of 2022 but after being at the hospital all day my surgery ended up getting canceled. I have paid upfront my deductible of $1435 to Steward Medical and due to surgery being canceled I requested my money back fast forward to a year now and still no refund they have found every excuse not to send my money and on two occasions I was told it was mailed out and nothing was ever sent. Now they are saying the my insurance never paid them and my insurance company stated they never received any bill from that date except one for $2600 which was denied and sent to appeals with no follow up. It should not take a year to get my money back for a surgery that was never done and no real treatment was giving besides me sitting in a hospital bed for over 9 hours. This company will take your money but does not want to refund it.

      On September 20th, ************************************************************* *****, **. At the end of the visit they would not let her leave until I paid their estimated amount that I would owe, not sure how they came up with the amount since they hadn't ran it thru my insurance yet. I provided a credit card for payment of $610. After the claim was processed I only owed them $120 of the $610 they took. Beginning in November, 2022 I have made multiple calls to get my refund processed and they continue to promise to "expedite" the refund to me. They continue to state their ******************* is behind in processing refunds. I was told by several **************** reps I spoke to that this happens all the time and they get a lot of calls from customers owed money. Seems to me they are purposely holding peoples funds to float expenses or invest the funds to profit from it. There is no justification for a company to take 7 months and counting to refund a Customers funds for no reason.

      I went doctor *********** on 04Oct2022. The front desk lady charged me $15 for copay. It was an annual physical checkup, which insurance company cover 100%. Therefore they owe me the money back. Since they did not initiate the refund automatically, I officially requested a refund on 4Jan2023. They claimed it would take 6-8 weeks to receive the check. However, it has been 4 months so far. **************** is not helping and no explanation about the delay. By this point, I am not sure if this is being worked on or if the refund is going to happen at all.Basically, it is not right for a provider to hold patient's money.

      I prepaid for surgery at ********************** (Steward Health Care) in Feb. 2022 in the amount of $3327.56. This would be to cover deductible. By the time my insurance paid the claim in Sept. 2022 I had already met the deductible so I had overpaid by $2222.52. These amounts are not in dispute. The issue is I have called multiple times since 12/28/22 when I was told my refund check would be mailed. At first I was told 6-8 weeks. Then I was told 10 weeks. After that period I was told they were behind and told 12 weeks. I talked to a supervisor and was told it was expedited and I should get a call in 3-5 days with a tracking number. That was March 13. I waited 14 weeks and still nothing, no calls, no check. I called on 4/17/23 and was told that it was being held in treasury because they wanted to know if I wanted it credited to my card I payed with. I was asked this several times previously and I told them no. I asked for a supervisor again. Was told I would get a call in ***** hrs and that they escalated the refund and I should have info within 5 days. Called again today and was given the exact same information: waiting on the person in treasury. They can give me no more information and cannot provide anyone to escalate to. They are holding my refund for over 4 month. I'm sure they are not going to pay me interest but I guarantee they are accumulating it. At this point I have no idea when I will get my money back.

      This is to request a refund in the amount of $712.37 from Steward Health Care. I paid $1,174.22 on August 5th, 2022 for a surgical procedure at St ****** ************** using my Credit Card.I went through the procedure and after the bill went through my insurance, I am owed a refund of $712.37 from Steward Health Care. I have contacted Steward Health Care every month, over the last 6-7 months and they acknowledge the refund of $712.37 but they have not given me my refund.***** Legislature in 2007 passed SB **** which states that facilities and doctors have 30 days to issue patient refunds once it is brought to their attention.It has been 6 months now and I have not received my refund in the amount of $712.37.       The medical center and the medical group have two different billing systems. I was without insurance and needed a follow-up post-surgery. I asked for a price before the follow up with the medical group and they said the total for the post-surgery follow-up appointment was $200 and I accepted then scheduled the appointment. I paid the $200 when I arrived for the appointment. The medical group and the hospital then sent me separate bills, both for approximately $450, which would make it an $1,100 follow-up appointment. Eventually, the medical group admitted to their mistake and apologized. The medical center (***************) has been calling me non-stop and sending me letters and is now threatening to send it to collections. I answered many of the phones calls and told them it was a mistake and to follow-up with the medical group. They refuse to talk to the medical group and insisted on a price-drop because I did not have insurance. They will not admit their mistake or talk to the medical group for the $465.10 bill more than tripling the initial price given to me. This was a follow-up with the doctor seeing me for under 10 minutes and the bills sent to me initially totaled $1,100.

      I am being billed for an ET visit, but this group refuse to process my insurance information. I provided my insurance information on August 2nd via phone then again via mail with a copy of my insurance card on October 20th. They refuse to process my information and instead of calling me to resolve whatever issue they are having, they just send me bills that where the amount differs, some are not itemized.
