      Active is so shady as you can read from the many others who have the same complaint I do. I signed up for a 5K one month ago, not consenting to a yearly membership. Suddenly, one month later I notice an extra $89.95 charged to my credit card. I have tried calling, texting, and emailing and no response from them yet. They may claim they are not trying to hide anything but, clearly, they are not promoting this "membership sign up" very well when you sign up for ONE RACE. I signed up for the race with 2 other friends of mine and they were all charged as well after NOT knowing they signed up for a membership. Stay away from any races under the Active umbrella.
