I was contacted by Campus box Media to sponsor my local ********************** in the area. I agreed to sponsor my local ********************** basketball and football season. Once I received all of my 4 sample shirts and coupons, I realized the ********************** they had me sponsor is Located in ************, and I am located in ****************. I was solicited by Campus Box Media earlier this year for a school sponsorship. They claimed they were partnered with the local high school and would provide geo-fencing (ads to parents' phones at football games with my logo/promotion), PA announcements , water bottles with my logo, and literature in school with our brand and coupon(s). I have come to find out they have absolutely NO affiliation with *******************. I spoke to the principal directly. All they did was make tons of cheap water bottles (with no lids!) with my logo and mail them to the school, which they then threw away because they do not work with this company. They inserted coupons of mine inside the water bottles, but again they were thrown away because they completely lied about their offerings and affiliations.Customer Answer

January ****** Order #******* March 22, 2024 Order#******* These guys call stating they are helping a local high school. I thought this was a great idea until I got another call from them for another order #******* on June 6, 2024. I thought this is getting ridiculous. 3 times in the same year asking for advertising and stating that they help the local high school? I called the high school and talked to many people who said they have never used Campus Box Media, Spirit Stop, or Grassroot Media, or anything else affiliated with Campus Box Media.I have tried many times to contact Campus Box Media, or one of their affiliates, and just get placed on hold for a very long time with no response. I have paid them $1627.95 this year, and they are trying to get another $819.97. I have not paid anything for this most recent order, but can't get a hold of anyone to cancel it.Business Response

After the feedback from Mr. ******** I reached out to our contact at the school by email, and she replied and said Yes, we did receive them! The cheer team usually hands/ throws them out at games and other big events! They put the coupons rolled up in the shirts and bottles and threw them out! The banner should be hanging up at games, but season is done for football, do you want me to take the same banners and hang them up in the gym?
I have attached the school email for your records as well. emailed and left a couple of messages for Mr. ******* and have not heard back. I am happy to help if he needs anything else.

i ordered tee shirts my daughter's senior year, I've never seen the shirts given away at the game, it was basketball as a promotional thing for my business as well. I was supposed to be advertised on the billboards as well as seen when the Wi-Fi was used, I was also supposed to receive tee shirts for my family. tee shirts came in wrong sizes and of very poor quality... I've spent 4-6 months trying to contact them, they won't return my calls. i can show on my credit card statement I paid them over 1000 dollars. I am rejecting this response because: the items were supposed to be thrown out my daughter senior year in basketball. I'm pretty sure the shirts were still being thrown out a year after she graduated, and I was told my family would receive some of these items, they came and did not fit which I've told box campus. I was told that the shirts would be thrown out during my daughter's senior year basketball. they wasn't- and that's what I paid 1200 to get.Initial Complaint

This happened last winter .they call me out of the blue (09/2023) told me to help the highschoolers from my local school with advertisement for their basketball games ( offered me the banners, also souvenirs with the logo of my company .finally paid it off .they said were going to mail me samples of what they were going to give at the basketball games with my logo and contact info . .The never send me anything they do not call me back either .a total scam. Over the past two years I have used Campus Box media to sponsor El Toro High Schools football program. I paid almost $1600 for my sponsorships that include advertising materials. I found out from the school that they do not participate or affiliate with this company and does not use them for advertising. Everything that I was promised and paid for was a lie as the school has never received any of the sponsorship money or materials. I contacted the company today to inquire about a refund but during my conversation I was hung up on. This is extremely disappointing when you are a local business trying to support a local high school and a dishonest company is taking advantage. After reviewing the BBB on this company I am not the only one that has been scammed by this company. Attached are my receipts, list of what was promised with my sponsorship and an e-mail chain with ******************* about not receiving anything from Campus Box. Campus box media scammed me out of nearly $2k, that is not a lot of money to some but to a small business owner that is a decent amount. This company takes money from decent hardworking people who just want to support the future of their communities. I have contacted Campus box multiple times over the course of the past year ******* and they have yet to process my refund. they promised a lot of ************ paid a lot of money for that only for them to ghost me and play dumb about shipping issues and the school making mistakes. The school had no idea who this company is. I have already contacted my attorney and told my extended family who are all in the law field, they seem to respond to every negative complaint (+75) saying they refunded (another lie) so maybe when they see this they will think twice about how damaging their actions are to others. ***** always finds out.Business Response

Order number is *******. There were two payments of $532 made between September and December of 2023 and two payments of #***.98 made in march of 2024 Two seasons were purchased which were to include announcements, banner, social media shout out none of which were completed. It also included tshirts coupons and digitial impressions which were delivered. First season was for football 2023 halfway through the season I had contacted them wanting to cancel for the basketball season because they did not deliver what they were supposed to. I spoke to a peyton with the company that was supposed to relay to customer service and her supervisor to resolve neither of which I ever heard from. For weeks now I have been leaving several messages a week and sending in emails. and have had no response from either way. I have called the school that we participated with. I paid $1,600 to these people and was promised hoodies, shirts, hats with our logo on it. Also, that our advertisement would pop up on everyones phone that came to a home game due to geo fencing and that our name would be in scoreboard and the announcers would announce our name and the coaches would pass out coupons with our company information on it. I have not received any of the merchandise I paid for and when I attended home game myself NONE of what I was promised was delivered. When I spoke to not only the athletic director and the cheer coach of the school the we are supposedly sponsoring-no one has even heard of Campus Box or even knew what I was talking about! Due to the misunderstanding between our office and ****************, we have tracked the items that were shipped to the high school, and they were delivered on 1/11/2024 at 12:12pm. Campus Box Media contacts the *********** for approval prior to contacting the community and they understand what they are supposed to do with all the items that are sent to them. I have attached the tracking for the high schools items and the email confirmation from our contact at the school, sometimes we are not setup with the person they may contact at the school; also attached is the **************** Report detail for ***************. **************** received his samples,we always send samples to the sponsors, so they see and know their order has been produced.
We have always tried to maintain a clear line of communication between the schools we represent and our customers, however, sometimes the line of communication is misinterpreted between our sales staff and the customer.

I am rejecting this response because: When I spoke to the cheer coordinator in PERSON and went to the actually home game myself-NOTHING was passed out. No hoodies, no shirts, no coupons, and NO GEO-FENCING.
