      I have gotten my roof replaced by newview roofing who had promised a 30 year warranty on the shingles and a lifetime warranty on the labor. The roof has developed a leak at a couple of areas and after repeated calls to the business they came out to inspect. They found that the issue was due to some improper sealing and it can be fixed.However, after repeated follow *** to send someone to fix the leak, there has been no response till date. I have been waiting for more than 2 montha and finally given up.

      We hired ******************* with Newview roofing to replace our roof on our house and make repairs on our shed in August. The spent 3-4 days replacing our roof during the week of September 18th, during which time they shot a nail through our air conditioner lines and neglected to do any work on the shed. They did pay for repairs for the *** I emailed **** the following Monday to address this. His crew has stil not come out to resolve this and we just found out last night 11/2/2023 that they never reconnected our water heater vent and it has been dumping gas into our house for over a month. This could have been deadly to my husband or myself as well as our newborn and three year old. We have paid him the first insurance check which was a little over **** and are waiting for a plumber to come out and make repairs so that we can get our gas reconnected.

      I am sorry your job did not go as desired. We have made every effort to remedy the issues you have had. Unfortunately hitting an AC and an a exhaust pipe getting disconnected are somewhat common when replacing a roof. There are specific code requirements for where AC lines can be installed so that nails cannot puncture them unfortunately your AC line was not installed up to these codes, we have a clause in our contract spelling out this exact scenario. Instead of exercising that clause we agreed to cover the cost of the repair. As for the exhaust vent, we should have checked the attic after the installation to make sure it was connected, typically we can tell if the vent becomes ajar during our install which it did not appear to have been, nevertheless we should have double checked. We have send money to reimburse you for the service call to the technician to re attach the vent.

      I am rejecting this response because:   While I appreciate the cost of the repair being covered, I am far less concerned about that then the negligence of the crew to check the vent before leaving the job which could have caused serious injury or death to my family. Further, they failed to complete all the repairs (our shed) before leaving the site, and we have been asking when that will be remedied since September 25th and still haven't been given a date for when that will happen. I am also still waiting for the receipt for the first check and the estimate paperwork we requested.

      **** has been in contact with you're wife and I think we are all on the same page now. The shed will be completed next week and once completed a final invoice will be send to the insurance company. They will send the remaining funds for the roof and once we receive that we will provide a paid in full invoice as well as the warranty information.

      We are still waiting for the project to be completed and despite requesting status updates communication has been severely lacking. We really just want to be done with this project and this company.
