Several weeks ago I filed a complaint with BBB concerning lack of progress in my dealings with TradeBloc and their efforts to get me out of my Timeshare contract with BlueGreen Vacations.
At this time I would like to report that TradeBloc and its partner companies have completed their work. They have gotten me released from the contract. I am very happy with these results.
If possible I would like my initial complaint removed or that these comments be an addendum to the initial complaint. TradeBloc did deliver the results for which I paid.

My husband and I attended a Tradebloc seminar on July 9, 2022, and signed paperwork promising an exit from our timeshares. Tradebloc claims they have negotiated the termination of the contract. However, after many requests for evidence of this statement, Tradebloc refused to provide proof of a negotiation or contract termination. They sent emails after several requests noting that they had worked out negotiations with the timeshare companies and all obligations had been settled, which was not valid. An acceptable resolution was not made within the guaranteed 18 months. Tradebloc has yet to negotiate any settlement. I requested that Tradebloc refund the entire purchase amount of $6995.00 plus interest and was denied, indicating that they protected me as agreed. I was not protected! My husband and I are under much pressure and can lose our home. ****** Honors is still calling me to request money. The Foreclosure is still on my credit reports and will remain for seven years. We were told on July 3. 2023, that our settlement still needed to be finalized and If we received a foreclosure notice, not to worry, as we would get an offer for a Deed in Lieu nestled in the threat; this is the document that will deed back the property and remove your financial obligation. (A Deed in Lieu was never suggested ) I am in Foreclosure and collections for three other timeshares, two of which also threaten Foreclosure. I receive collection calls every day. My husband's job is threatening to release him due to these collections. I have requested to speak with Tradebloc's President but am still awaiting a response. I want Tradebloc to abide by their contract: "If within 18 months we have not negotiated any settlement with your creditor to your satisfaction, Tradebloc will refund the entire purchase price. I am not SATISFIED! I thought I was doing something great by trying to exit from my times using Tradebloc. It has been a Stressful Nightmare. There's been no Negotiation!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I was contacted by Ms. *******,Tradebloc's president, on Monday, Jan. 29. We discussed the Foreclosure and collections on my credit report as well as the ****-A received on Mon, Jan.29,showing a debt of $30,000 due to the Foreclosure (copies sent to Tradebloc) Ms. ******* needed help locating the copy of the Foreclosure proceedings in the Tradebloc file. Someone may have moved it, and she would need to research and call me back on Tuesday,Jan.30, but she did not. Instead, I received two emails, both on Jan. 31. One from Freida in client services informing me that President ******* extends her sincere apologies for not being able to reach out to me promptly and that she is currently attending to some urgent matters but is committed to addressing my case as soon as possible and that they are aware of the importance of my inquiry and would like to assure me that she will reach me either tomorrow or the following day, that I can expect a call directly from her during that time.The second email came from ******, a paralegal in the legal department,regarding my receipt of the ****-A form and how the *** provides it when any debt owed, canceled, forgiven, or discharged becomes taxable income, and they would send me an instruction packet. I reject the business response. Ms.******* should have followed through on contacting me, as she stated. I am still determining when the Foreclosure and collections will be removed from the credit reports. I took it upon myself to go to the *** website to get the forms needed to respond to the *** ****-A. My husband's job is still at stake. Some of my credit cards are now being closed as a result. I have been assured that the Foreclosure can be removed, which is the only way my husband can keep his job. We bought a timesharefrom which we wanted to get out due to different payments that company started including and did not have availability evetytime we tried to book Tradebloc (TB) offered ** take us out of that engagement. We filled out all the forms, and of course this service would have a cost which we accepted and we paid, then later ******** said they will turn it to a law firm they worked with (********************) and we had to pay for the legal services, which we considered was fair, we paid Tradebloc $3,692.00 and to the law firm $3,192.00. After filling out the numerous forms of the law firm I requested a receipt notice and they told me they were canceling my file and placed me in their DO NOT ACCEPT LIST adding that Tradebloc was going to get in touch with me, which did not happen. After several emails to TB they said would take a look at it, which did not happen I requested my money back because **** no explanation whatsoever. They sent me "Client Refund Request Form" which I completed immediately and no action or response despite my multiple calls and messages. They offer from the beginning this would take 18 months. 11 months have gone bye and I do not have me refund and no communication at all.Customer Answer

On May 25th 2022 my parents signed an agreement with Tradebloc and paid $5,000.00 with the sales pitch and promise they (Tradebloc) could get them out of their time share. Within this document it also stated that they could have a money back guarantee of that amount if they did not get them out of their timeshare. As of this filing nothing has been done in their behalf and myself having power of attorney for them have asked to have their monies refunded per the original agreement. I was met with an email that said that that is denied from ******. I then asked to speak with the principle in the matter ******* *****/CEO and have heard nothing. I have documents of the agreement along with power of *********** doing more research we have contacted the company to which has the timeshare and they have no record of Tradebloc even contacting them. Furthermore they do not work with third party companies to work on the process of exiting the timeshare. They only work with the owners themselves moving forward to "exit" the timeshare. I asked ****** in this instance if he could provide me with any documentation or dialogue with which they might have had to even act in good faith for my parents nothing was provided. I do know other phone calls were made to my parents requesting more money for services they were thinking of doing at which time I did get involved. So this complaint is about getting the original fee refunded for services not rendered. Then we can all move on. I have supporting documentation if needed. They told them not to pay the maintenance fees which is not good advice as it only accrued late fees which of course they had to pay. Currently i have asked to work with Tradebloc directly on the matter but have been met with no resolution other than to have them say "no". That certainly does not honor any "money back guarantee" that was offered at the beginning. We find as a next step to now file this compliant with the BBB.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: Absolutely nothing has been resolved in any manner. The President ******* ******* responded to only say they needed an email to proceed further. But what is forgotten on all this is I have told them on several occasions to provide them a power of Attorney to act in their behalf. So nothing has been even talked about. My parents are asking for a full refund per the original agreement signed which has a 100% money back guarantee. I have provided that agreement on my original complaint with BBB.
Nothing has even been proceeded on at the current time.

There was a brief phone call from ******* President of Tradebloc. Within the brief call all that was established was some "double talk" which specified that there was plenty done in behalf of my parents to which I have POA for. But when the specifics were discussed there was nothing provided. No emails no solutions and no resolving of anything. Once again all that is being asked is for Tradebloc to honor the 100% money back guarantee. It is one thing to say you have a guarantee and quite another to honor it.
I asked ******* specifically to honor this for Tradebloc and she ended the call with the excuse that things must be getting "confrontational" as if asking for Tradebloc to honor their promise is confrontational. She then resorted to email as a form of communication wherein she specified she would use her "lawfirm" to ensure nothing goes to the courts.
I am asking in behalf of my parents a full return of their payment which was guaranteed for services not rendered. That is all. And they stonewall with excuses thinking they did something which nothing was done.
Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism in this matter.

That could not be further from the truth about being abusive. Not in the least. I have power of attorney to act in behalf of my parents on this matter and that is the only thing I have done. Tradebloc offered a money back guarantee if they did not get you out of the time share. They did nothing of the sort and in fact I asked them to please show me any correspondence wherein they acted in my parents behalf. It is a deflection to then say I was abusive when that was in no way the case. To ask for then to honor a money back guarantee to which they have done nothing of the sort. It is just "lip service" on the matter. I have all emails as it relates to the correspondence and I am happy to provide that. I had what amounted to 5 minute conversation with a ******* (President) and when we really talked about it she was defensive and could not answer the simple question of what was done in behalf of my parents.
The response to the BBB is nothing only then a deflection of what the real matter is which is to refund in full the initial amount of what was given. That is there promise. They did nothing that is the premise to this compliant.
Nothing has been abusive in any nature I have all correspondence in which to verify.

I wish that I had read all of the other complaints about Tradebloc before I gave them any money. I am sure that I have been scammed by them too, as it has been 2 years since I paid them to get out of my timeshare. I still have it and they are asking me for additional money. I was given a guarantee that they could extricate me from the timeshare within 18 months. That was February of 2022, right after my mother passed away and I inherited it. I have incurred late fees and had risked danger to my credit score for not paying my maintenance fees, all for naught. I have asked to see proof that this company is actually negotiating with *****************, but I have gotten the run-around. When I spoke to someone at Tradebloc yesterday, they said that the guarantee was from another company, not them. So, they are clearly doing a bait and switch with me.Business Response

You came to ** from another company and so we can only inform you that it typically takes about 18 months but in your situation it could be longer. Also about existing reviews, please understand we have had thousands and thousands of satisfied customers. Many share their "opinion" and we try very hard work with those that are not happy. I am sure if you did a BBB check on the car you are driving, the watch you are wearing or the cell phone you use you would find a lot more complaints but you are still using them. We put our best foot forward for every client. I am sorry that you inherited this debt because that is important for others to understand. If you have bad marks on your credit report due to the timeshare it is very important that you are also cooperative in sending us a copy of your credit report. We can not dispute anything if we haven't been informed each time. Also, when an option arrises clients are always contacted and you simply accept or decline the offer.

I am rejecting this response because: I did NOT come to Tradebloc from another company. I have attached the form that I signed, dated February 8, 2022 with Tradebloc. This is approximately 24 months ago. On the *** sheet that was given to me (attached), it states that "all exits take as long as 18 months", which is saying that they should take a shorter time than 18 months. It has been nearly 24 months since I entered into an agreement WITH TRADEBLOC. I have never received ANY proof that anything has been done by Tradebloc to extract me from my timeshare. When clients come to us from other companies they do not receive our 18-month guarantee. Tradebloc rep said I would be part of a lawsuit to refund ALL the money I paid to Marriott Vac. Club. But since purchasing Tradebloc in Spring, 2023, no one ever referred to it again, and no suit has been filed. On August 18,2023 another Tradebloc rep proposed (for approx.$5,000), to protect me from credit damage. This would total more than $12,000 (with original payment).
In December, my wife got an “urgent” email from Jeff ******. My contact information had apparently been erased from their records. He reinstated it and presented three ways to cancel future payments to Marriott.
Option A. Settlement. Cost: $12,183.28, plus initial payment of $6,749. = 18,932.28 (a 181 % increase.)
Option B. Strategic Default with Credit Protection Policy: Cost: additional $2,695. = $ 9,444.00
Option C. Default without Protection Policy: No additional cost, but no further aid. = $6,749.00
Also, ****** said the offer was negotiated exclusively on our behalf, but refused to provide any support for that.
Shortly after I rejected the proposal I received a call from a Tradebloc executive (company president RoxAnne *******?) who made several admissions:
1. She said she had no control over what a sales rep may have said because the company contracts with many outside marketing firms and wouldn’t stand behind what the rep said.
2. She also refused to provide information about negotiation because “so many people’s names and private information are on the documentation,” thus admitting the negotiations were not individually made for me, as ****** asserted.
We trusted Tradebloc for its A+ rating by BBB. But if they are not accredited by BBB, how can they get an A+ rating? And how can we trust the BBB’s rating?
Tradebloc promised our original payment would be returned if unsuccessful. That's all we are requesting.Business Response

Also, you are given options in which you are clearly told you may accept or decline. We would not being our job efficiently if we did not explain all options to you. By writing this complaint explains that you would like to vent with your frustration of signing a legal binding contract with your timeshare. The owner of the company has responded to you via email and cleared up this up. I wish clients would read their Purchase Agreement from the timeshare instead of just blindly signing them then hiring us to take care of it and then complain of their poor decision. We were invited to a seminar about time share exiting. We were told they would get us out and if they didnt we could get our money back. Now they want more money. We asked for our money back per the guarantee they offered and were told that they didnt tell us that but I have it in writing. We just want our money back because they didnt do what they said. You singed up with us 12/2023. It has just passed one year and you signed an 18-month guarantee. I will have our ************************* reach out to you and explain how our process has in fact worked and you have not suffered any legality issues or credit issues due to our services. Also, please understand we assist thousands of clients and many complaints on here are merely opinions and not facts. If you look up the phone you are using or the watch you are wearing I can guarantee they have many complaints but you are still using them correct? You signed a lifelong legal binding contract. We wished it would take the time it took for you to sign their Purchase Agreement but unfortunately it does not. They get you within a couple of hours and then abandon you when it wasn't as promised. Please remember we are assisting you in cancelling this and we are required to explain all your options to you. Signed up with Tradbloc to relinquish a timeshare with Massanutten in May 2021. They have a guarantee to settle the account within 18 months and its going on now for almost 3 years. I have not received a refund. They do not answer their phone or call back. I send them e-mails that are not answered. I am rejecting this response because: Not surprising of their response considering that they have stated that I have a faulty e-mail and phone number. My e-mail address has been used with them for the past 3 years. I have also told them that my phone number is the only one to contact me with of which they have for the past 3 years. Attached is one of many e-mails sent to them. This time to a person named ****** who called me after I gave Tradebloc a bad review. I never heard from him again. Recently I made 2 phone calls to different numbers with the message that there will be a law suit involved. I received a phone call that day. I am rejecting this response because: According to their Agreement, they guaranteed settlement with the timeshare within 18 months or I would be refunded. This did not happen. It took 3 years! Their horrendous lack of communication with me gave cause for the complaint. If I had not filed, I probably would have never heard from them. They had no part whatsoever in the conclusion or settlement, but instead I received a letter from the timeshare that the account went to foreclosure due to not paying the maintenance fees since 2021. According to the Agreement, I should be refunded in part, if not all, since they broke that Agreement and their lack of services.Business Response

This means that the individuals in question no longer hold ownership of the property, as their names have been removed from the deed. Through our dedicated efforts and with the clients adhering to the default process, the timeshare company proceeded with a timeshare foreclosure. This action was the key method by which the ********* company dissolved the release, ultimately taking back the property. I am rejecting this response because: This will go back and forth which I have no time for. This is just word salad coming from a company who wants to save face to make them feel better yet bear inadequacies. If they were all that efficient there would have been communication to keep me up to date since it was taking a lot longer than 18 months as guaranteed. Effectively is also questioning considering that I only know that Massenutten was the one who informed me of the foreclosure not Tradbloc. As a matter of fact, when I received the letter from Massenutten about the foreclosure, I called Tradbloc and the response was "oh, good, now we don't have to worry. This means they closed the account". In other words, not efficient or effective. All and all it took me to file a complaint to light a fire under them and start communicating. This will never settle, and I want it out there to reach *** Public of how inefficient they are and have the audacity to charge such a horrendous amount in fees of which by the Agreement I should have been refunded. On August 31st we (**** and ***********************, husband and wife) age 72, attended a meeting that was advertised to guarantee that their organization, ************** would assist us in exiting our two time share agreements. We were solicited by phone approximately one week prior to our attending. During the group meeting, Tradebloc representatives ****** ***, Senior Adviser under the direct supervision of ***************************, Regional manager led us to believe that our timeshare company, Diamond Resorts, would not allow us to exit our agreements without the expertise of Tradeblocs legal team. On good faith, with the assurance that we were getting a greatly reduced rate and their written guarantee that they could help us make a clean exit from our timeshare obligations, we tendered $11,400.00 by credit card on September 11th, 2023 , the evening of the meeting.What we were unaware of at the time, but subsequently made aware of by an industry professional, was that we could have handled this without anyone elses help by contacting Diamond Resort directly at a much-reduced cost.In addition to the above-mentioned fraudulent misrepresentation, on December 26th, 2023 we were again contacted by Tradebloc to explain to us that our exit options were:1: Pay an additional amount of $17,317.77 for Transfer Settlement to assure no future liability and end all future payments and financial obligations;2: Pay an additional amount of $2,695.00 (Their Recommended Plan) Strategic default with Recital and Timeshare Credit Protection Plan. According to Tradebloc this would offer 3 pillars of protection: a) Credit report damage, b) tax liability/1099 and c) Deficiency balance resulting in garnishment/lawsuit. Basically, just stop paying our yearly maintenance fees. This is what we thought we were agreeing to with the initial payment.3: No additional fee. Strategic default with decline of Recital and Timeshare Protection Policy. Continue the Strategic Default Strategy but without the protection outlined in #2. According to their paperwork, the no additional money option left our credit at risk.The upsell pricing and additional cost was not disclosed.They simply advised us to quit paying and charged us an unreasonable amount for that advice.They systematically worded the agreement so that we would not contact or engage in any interaction with our timeshare company to terminate our agreements.There is no minimum or maximum rate indicated in any of their information, therefore no basis for their claim of a greatly reduced rate. The ******* signed an Agreement on 8/31/2023 that clearly outlines our process and procedures. They also signed an 18-month guarantee which gives us 18 months to do the work outlined according to the Agreements they signed. They were given 3 business days to cancel. That gave them adequate time to read how Tradebloc would handle every aspect of their case. We placed a Block and Repair on their credit reports to avoid the timeshare from damaging their credit throughout this process. The Industry "professionals" may say what they want and give a biased opinion. They are the same professionals who lied to you to purchase the timeshare. When a option is presented to you that is exactly what it is, an option that you may accept or decline but never forced. All client cases are handled differently with different options as no case is the same. Clients have to take responsibility in reading what they sign. We have successfully assisted thousands of clients. We take great pride in our work. It is extremely difficult when clients such as the Engel's do not give sufficient time to work on their case; signing our paperwork that outlines our process and procedures and then demands a refund after we have been working on their case for 5 months.
