This company is using a third party telemarketer (going by the name of ***************************** that has no website or contact information) to illegal contact people on the national Do Not Call list. They are violating the **** by contacting me as my number is on the Do Not Call registry and has been for some time. They obtained my information with Blue Green through some means (I didn't give it to them) and have called me twice after I asked them to stop. I would love to see them pegged with a hefty fine by the *** for their flagrant violations.Business Response

Tradebloc has had no communication with this person, nor do we have any information for this person on file. We have not and will continue to not contact this person for any means, as we have no business with them. At this point, this person is just going around harassing us on all of our platforms and wishing fines on us based on issues not involving us.Initial Complaint

We were contacted by Tradebloc about getting rid of our timeshare. We attended a meeting on January 6, 2023 in *********, **. At this time we were assured over and over again that if we were not satisfied with their services we could get a full refund. We paid $7995. After the initial payment, we were emailed an attorney /Client retainer agreement. We did not agree to an open- ended contract that allowed them to come back at any point and charge us more money. We were told at the meeting that the $7995 would cover the entire cost. We were also asked to complete a information sheet which asked for personal medical information which we did not feel comfortable doing. We requested a refund. A form was emailed and we were supposed to get a refund within 10 days of completing in the form which was returned on 1/27/2023. We were sent from one person to another to another. The last person, said they were going to speak with the president which was about a month ago. We just want our money back.Business Response

In response, we first of all would like to say how very sorry we are that you feel that we have not been forthcoming. Please understand when you attend that meeting you are working with sales people. They do not work in our legal department and so have no knowledge of legality issues. That is why when you are sent to us we have you fill out all of our forms so you have full knowledge of how we are going to handle your case in which you agreed and signed them. The Credit and *************** Agreement, paragraph three (3) clearly states that you may be offered a Settlement and if so there will be additional fees. You may choose to accept or decline that Settlement. Also, regarding medical information that was requested helps us in explaining to the timeshare reasoning for wanting to get out of your timeshare due to health issues, if any. You also signed on that same agreement that you have three (3) business days to cancel which we never received. You also signed an 18-month guarantee on 1/06/2023 that allows us **************************************************************************** your timeshare and repair your credit then we will refund all of your money paid to us. Please understand when you send in a Refund Request it goes into consideration of the validity of the refund and it does not comply: 1. past the three day cancel; 2. 18-month guarantee. Unfortunately, we have many departments that assist in every case so we are sorry you feel you were getting sent from person to person but it was for your benefit. We would be happy to discuss this further with you and come to a resolution. Thank you.Customer Answer

They have not reached out to me to try and settle this in any way other than they keep emailing me to sign their retainer agreement and complete their sheet of questions. Why would I want to do business with someone who is not forthcoming at their sales pitch meeting and you dont receive the contract for retainer until after the 3 days has expired. Pretty much trying to take advantage of people for sure.
they have done nothing for us and we just want our money back

We did indeed reach out to assist this client. They ignored our presented policies and procedures on refunds. And assumed they were to be given a refund simply because they demanded it. They were never guaranteed a refund, simply told they would be presented with a refund request form, which they were. In which they filled out with very little detail solely stating they did not agree with our paperwork. We never talked to them about paying any more money. After we said we would reach back out, this client gave no information, and just assumed our attempts to smooth things over would just be us giving them a refund, and gave no attempts to resolve any grievances. Additionally, they did not respond to any further emails, with our refund managers latest ignored email being on July 7th.
We are happy to, and will reach back out again!

I am rejecting this response because: They have not reached out to me to try and resolve this issue. Any reputable attorney would not take a persons money, give them three days to change their mind, and then a week later, send them the retainer agreement to sign and if you dont agree with the retainer agreement keep your money..Customer Answer
Date: 10/03/2023
The only reaching out that trade bloc did was contribute to keep emailing me the paperwork to fill out (personal information sheet and the retainer). Yes, it is an open ended retainer where more funds can be requested.
I have never heard of an attorney who does business this way. Collects your money, gives you 3 days to change your mind and then, 2 weeks later, presents you with the terms of the agreement. No meeting of the minds!!! Contract should have been presented at the time the money was collected! Period!
Of course I want my money back! $7995. Your company has done nothing for me. I cant imagine going into a local attorneys office, requesting services, them taking my money and telling me, you gave 3 days to change your mind and then email you a blind contract in about 10 days. If you dont agree to all the terms. Sorry. You had 3 days. So unprofessional.

We are not an attorneys office. And you are mixing up information unnecessarily. We have emailed you in regards to this BBB notice in hopes to resolve this issue, as well as to reach out and continue attempting to collect your signup paperwork.
This information has proven to be false. You knew blatantly about our 3 day cancellation and you decided to ignore and battle it as if we should change our policies because you don't agree with them. You were sent your paperwork immediately on the 12th, and also spoken to over a welcome call. You let our team know you were going out of town until the 27th, which is when we reissued the paperwork to you. But you had that paperwork to look over the entire time. You put it on the backburner and now are trying to make it seem as if we were negligent in our duties.
Best regards

I entered into an agreement with Tradebloc March 4, 2021 -with employee *******. All documentation was acknowledged by Tradebloc May 17, 2021 -*******. Payment made to Tradebloc $1995.00 Tradebloc contacted our timeshare company .. *********** regarding the matter July 10, 2021 per *************************** (Tradebloc). On October 28, 2022 Tradebloc notified us that if we paid an additional $2500.00 they could settle this matter in the near future - Tradebloc employee ****************** - legal staff. We declined as the original agreement states that the transaction price was a One time payment of $1995. and would be completed in 18 months. Date should have been NLT February 2023. We called on July 5,2022 and were cut off. Called back (****- said they had all new staff and the people we spoke with earlier were no longer there. We were advised to call the legal department - it has a message that states they do not take calls. After a written correspondence we got an Email on 10/28/22 stating that ***** had caused delays and we should expect something by May 2023. Still nothing - we need help from BBB to close this out.Business Response

Pdf files have been combined into Better Business Bureau Docs.pdf. The beginning of each file referred to below is identified a header by the file name used in the description of the complaint. The initial contact with Tradebloc was at an ************ motel on late August 30, 2021. After listening to a presentation about how Tradebloc would assist with the termination of the timeshare contract with Holiday ****************** we decided to partner with Tradebloc. A fee of $4,190 was paid Tradebloc assured us that a full refund would be received if an acceptable agreement was not achieved within 18 months. The file Initial Tradebloc Agreement Redacted.pdf provides the initial agreement signed in August. The file Aug30 Sept 01 2021 Tradebloc.pdf provides confirmation of the initial contact and confirmation that we provided all the requested documents. The file Sept 01 2021 Tradebloc.pdf indicates Tradebloc requested the credit score reporting agencies to block or dispute any negative information pertaining to the timeshare agreement. This action was confirmed on each of the three credit score reporting companies web sites. This is the only Tradebloc action that I have been able to confirm. After this initial contact, there was a long period of no communication, in part due to having been told to have patience because this process moves slowly due to delays caused by timeshare companies. Efforts were made to monitor progress on our case by using web sites suggested by Tradebloc. No changes were ever reported. In April - May 2022, I contacted Tradebloc to get updated on progress. The file May 9 2022 Tradebloc.pdf was received in response to my inquiries. Today I consider the statement We have been working diligently on your case the beginning of several false statements made by Tradebloc. The file May 16 2022 Tradebloc.pdf confirms we provided the requested information in the May 9 email. In addition, Tradebloc provided a new contract to sign. The new contract with the Tradebloc **************** was signed. In early September 2022, I received a phone call indicating the time share contract was terminated and we were no longer responsible for club membership and maintenance fees. In this phone call, I also learned that there were termination fees that needed to be paid and the feature of Tradebloc protecting our credit rating forever from actions that Holiday ***************** might take also came with a fee. An additional $1,990 was paid to Tradebloc. The file Sept 7 2022 Tradebloc.pdf is confirmation of the phone call and the payment. In hindsight, most of the information about termination of the timeshare contract was false. At this point, conversations with Tradebloc declined. After January 2023 in an effort to collect club dues and maintenance, calls and ******** from **************** Vacations increased. This seemed normal. The basic phone conversation was Your club dues and maintenance fees are past due. I am aware of this, but I have been told this contract was canceled. Our records indicate the account is still open. As time went on, I was sometimes transferred to other people at **************** Vacations. I was asked to send documentation to **************** Vacations documenting my claim that the contract was cancelled. I sent the file Sept 7 2022 material five times. No response was ever received from the emails sent to **************** Vacations. My suspicion began to grow that Tradebloc had not succeeded in terminating the contract. I attempted to press Tradebloc for evidence that the contract was canceled. The file April 2023 Tradebloc.pdf contains some of that correspondence. On May 10, I sent an email to the lawyer that claimed to have negotiated the termination of the timeshare contract, ***** *********, to obtain evidence of the contract termination. The file May 10 Tradebloc contains the email I sent asking for him to 1) email me a document from Holiday Inn Vacations indicating the Deed has been transferred back to them or 2) investigate why Holiday ***************** does not think the contract has been terminated and complete the termination process as quickly as possible. The response received is file May 12 2023 Tradebloc.pdf. He chose not to respond to either of my requests. In my mind, there is no longer any doubt that Tradebloc is a company that does not provide its customers much help in terminating their time share contracts. In spite of claims that ***** ******* negotiated the termination of the contract, he has provided no evidence of such action. File May 26 2023 Tradebloc is the most recent exchange with Tradebloc. There is still no evidence Tradebloc has contacted Holiday Inn Vacations to terminate the timeshare contract. After nearly 21 months, I have concluded that Tradebloc is not interested in helping this client cancel the **************** Vacations timeshare contract. Most statements Tradebloc has made regarding both the services they would provide and the actions they have taken appear to be false. Tradebloc claims they have negotiated the termination of the contract. But after many requests for evidence of this statement, Tradebloc has refused to provide any evidence of a negotiation or contract termination. Experiences since August 2021 show the initial information meeting misrepresented the services Tradebloc would provide. The strategy and business practices employed by Tradebloc in assisting with the termination of the timeshare contract have been every bit as bad as the practices they accuse timeshare companies of using. The initial money paid in August 2021 for services has resulted in Tradebloc contacting three credit bureaus and asking them to challenge negative statements from **************** Vacations. Since an acceptable resolution of this issue has not been achieved in the 18-month period specified in the original contract, I am entitled to a full refund of $6,180 as stated in the original contract. In addition, I think I should receive payment for late fees incurred because we were instructed to not make any payments to the timeshare company. Another alternative to resolve this issue would be to complete the process in a way that does not result in any additional expenses for us and results in signing over the timeshare deed to Holiday Inn without using the foreclosure process.Business Response

We are very sorry you have felt we have not been adequately working on your case and you felt the only way to get our attention is this avenue. Tradebloc works each case with the upmost importance. Please understand they received a letter from us within 30 days of you becoming a client of ours and then from there it is back and forth with our legal team. Yes, Holiday Inn is very slow to respond as you get put on the bottom on the list of importance because they are busy working with the ones that are paying them to keep it. It then makes our job harder as we have to wait for them months upon months at at time making it seem to you that we are doing nothing. You signed a lifelong in perpetuity legal binding contract. This is not an easy process however, we are 100% confident we can remove your interest in the timeshare and fix your credit to reflect as such. If we are unable to do just that, then that is why we extend the 100% money back 18-month guarantee at the beginning of becoming our client. We will be issuing you a refund.Customer Answer
Date: 06/19/2023
I am rejecting this response because:
A satisfactory resolution will be achieved when I understand where and why the breakdown of the process occurred and we receive a refund of the charges paid to Tradebloc and the additional late fees, finance charges, and collection fees we have occurred because payments were stopped.
I appreciate the telephone call that I received from Tradebloc on June 14, 2023, and this response.
This is the first time I have heard there was a letter sent to the timeshare company. I am curious about what this letter said and would appreciate receiving a copy of this letter for my file.
You indicate there was back and forth with our legal team. What was the nature of the response(s) you received? I received a telephone call in August ******************************************************************************************** early September 2022, I received an email and attached letter stating the contract was successfully terminated. There were no documents in these communications indicating the timeshare company agreed to a contract termination. I have asked Tradebloc and the lawyer that claimed to have negotiated the termination more than once for documentation showing the contract termination. I have never received anything or any acknowledgement that such documentation exists. Until evidence of a back and forth and a successful termination is provided, I am left with the conclusion the statements of a successful termination was incorrect.
It is good to hear a refund will be received. Because this process has dragged on so long and we were told not to make any additional payments,we have been billed an additional $331.36 in late fees, finance charges, and collection fees by the timeshare company. I expect the refund to include payment of these charges plus the refund of the $6,180 paid to Tradebloc. I have not yet received a copy of the refund request that was referred to in your voice mail message received on June 14, 2023. Please email me the refund request so this issue can be resolved quickly. The refund must be received before it is possible to arrive at a satisfactory resolution.Business Response

We were gifted a timeshare in 2007. Over time it became less useful to us so we began to consider how to move on. Recently, we received an unsolicited call from an organization claiming they just wanted to give ** information about our timeshare and that they were not selling anything. Not true. We agreed to attend their meeting which they pledged would be only an hour and that there would be food. Not true. The company is Tradebloc, a legal firm(?) who purports to help people cancel their timeshare contracts using the provisions of an "Open Enrollment" access to a negotiation related to an MRA (Mutual Release Agreement) which was purported to be an offshoot of the Covid pandemic. They made a number of statements that we questioned but, if true, might be quite difficult to overcome by any other process. For example, that all timeshare contracts were the same and included provisions that made ownership "perpetual" and so our heirs would be held liable for the contract. Not true. If what they were saying was true, we saw no clear way to rid ourselves of the timeshare so we reluctantly filled out their application for their services. We were assured that there was a 3-business-day right to rescind the application, all we had to do was call them and they promised they would tear it up. Not true. That was Thursday night, 5/4/2023. On Friday morning, 5/5/2023, we called our timeshare company, Otra Vez in ********, **. There were a number of options, none of which were as expensive as the $7755 Tradebloc process. So, after finishing our conversation with Otra Vez we called the Tradebloc representative and told them that we no longer wanted to continue with their services and to tear up our application. They said they would do so. Not true.On Monday, 5/8/2023 a call from Tradebloc for more information alerted us that they charged our credit card $7755. We disputed the transaction immediately. Calls to the reps have been answered but the process continues.Business Response

Hello,
I'd like to respond to a few of your points. We did not sale you anything over the phone, just presented you an opportunity to come sit in on our meeting. We try to keep our timeframe on our meetings short, but as it includes a lot of information sometimes the timing can run over. Additionally, we do try to leave out snacks and drinks for our attendees, and it's our apologies if we fell short on that. You had no obligation to stay, but it's obvious we captured your attention. A $7,755 dollar transaction is not a spur of the moment decision. It is true, and a very quick ****** search will prove, that timeshares get passed on to next of kin/beneficiaries. And we did indeed already refund your transaction, it was charged on the 8th, and on the 9th, we returned payment immediately. The delay in why it didn't go back into your account is solely based on the fact you disputed the transaction, and that stalls the refund process due to the transaction being held due to investigation. You were told no lies and wish you would have continued the process along with us, as we have served over ****** clients, and would love to have kept you as a valued member to add to the list. We are happy you have had easy communication with us and hope to have saved a little good faith in our company. We welcome you to return if things don't work out as planned!Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: The fundamental issue is honesty. We were told that all we had to do to stop the process was call the representatives and tell them to tear up the contract. We met with them Thursday evening. They told ** we had 3 business days to rescind the contract. That would be Tuesday. We contacted our timeshare on Friday and determined that much of what we were told applied universally to all timeshare contracts (perpetual maintenance fees, etc.) did not apply to us. We immediately called the Tradebloc representatives on Friday and told them to cancel the contract. They assured us they would. It would be easy because they hadn't even submitted the paperwork. Then I got a call Monday morning from their admin support people trying to get us to provide the additional information to complete the process. That was when we learned that they had already charged our credit card. That was 5/7/23. I immediately disputed the charge (the date on my statement confirms 5/7). To this day all I have is a conditional refund of the charge based on the dispute. Nothing from the Tradebloc. They did not do anything they said they would do. "Oops" doesn't cut it. It cost me a lot of time and worry and still is because of the conditional refund. I believe that a man's word is his bond. Apparently, Tradebloc does not.Business Response
Date: 06/08/2023
The contract you signed gives clear instructions on how to retain your 3 day cancellation. This can be viewed in your Scan ending in 002. "You may cancel this agreement, without penalty or obligation at any time prior to midnight of the third business day from your execution of this agreement. To cancel this agreement, you must notify Tradebloc in writing of your intent to cancel. Your notice of cancellation shall be effective upon the date sent and shall be emailed to ********************************* Your signature follows directly after. Human error occurs, and we understand that. As I wasn't part of the people who you talked to, I cant speak on what was told to you, or what conversations you had. I can tell you that you signed a contract, which is just as good as your word, ensuring that you agree to the terms set forth in said contract. And did not abide by them. Neither party is without fault, and had you not made the dispute with your credit card, the funds would have been returned back to you immediately without error. But because you initiated a chargeback on your card, you have been subjected to your conditional refund, all of your own doing. There is no Oops, we did not fail to adhere to our policies and guidelines. We wish you the best moving forward in all of your ventures!

I am rejecting this response because: My account still only shows a "conditional" credit on May 8 based on my dispute of the charge. There is no evidence of this refund dated May 9 that I can see in the **** record. Can you explain this? Perhaps the conditional credit and the attached purported refund receipt are connected in some way but it is not clear. As long as the "conditional" tag is still present then I feel like the charge may come back if the unknown "condition(s)" are not met. I really wanted this process to work. Unfortunately, a year later I still have a delinquency on my credit report that Tradebloc was contracted by ******************* to remove. I paid $3,344 back in 2021 to settle my timeshare with Hilton Grand Vacations. I was promised that this would be resolved quickly and that I no longer needed to make payments on the loan (I was told this was a "negotiating tactic" to bring ****** to the table). When ****** started report it to the credit bureaus, I was assured that there were a variety of strategies that Tradebloc and Seaside had to dispute remove this from my credit report. On multiple occasions I provided them copies of my credit report and all of the other information they requested. It's now been a year and not only is the serious delinquency on my credit report, but it is also listed as a repossession. I genuinely feel scammed by both companies, and I'd like to get this negative information on my credit report removed.Business Response

We can assure you Tradebloc has not stopped working on your account, and will continue to fight for your credit worthiness until we achieve the desired results!
Unfortunately it requires time and patience to get things removed off of a credit report, and though we do attempt at getting all things taken care of expeditiously, not every account will be successful immediately! We are sorry that the process has been delayed, but we are forced to follow guidelines and rules sent by the credit bureaus in order to not get our attempts blocked from sending them in too quickly! We appreciate you for working with us step by step through this process, and we are happy to have you as a client!
We will be reaching out to you to continue our work and move on to the next step in this process!

Thank you for allowing me to respond to the BBB regarding this matter. We would never use the word "quickly" as these take years to get done. Clients do not understand the legality of a ************** binding contract in perpetuity to get out of. We also inform all clients that we will dispute their credit report every 90 days until any negativity is removed. This may take the entire time until getting their interest removed from the timeshare. We will continue working diligently on their credit report and removing their interest from the timeshare.Initial Complaint

We are requesting a full refund from Tradebloc in the amount of $3850.00 plus $500.00 in damages which includes credit card interest, stress and mental anguish, and having to deal with TB's dishonest and deceptive business practices. We hired TB in May of 2022 to "negotiate" a deal for us to get out of our timeshare and to receive some kind of cash settlement. For the months we have been dealing with TB, I find the company to be deceptive, misleading and their customer service is horrendous. They claimed they negotiated a deal with my timeshare but can only provide "one" letter that they sent which I believe to be fake. They cannot provide, to my satisfaction, any evidence that they had any direct contact with our timeshare.
To expand on my complaint- After sending TB correspondence from our timeshare concerning delinquent maintenance fees, in February of 2023 the timeshare sent me a notice with an option to get out of my obligation by signing a deed in lieu. I promptly sent it to TB with a note "I really think this is important, please respond". I sent this email to TB on February 20th-no response, I emailed them again and made several phone calls on February 28th- no response, I emailed them again and several more phone calls on March 14th- no response, and on March 17th out of frustration, I emailed this in red ink:
HELLO!!!
IS ANYONE ACKNOWLEDGING MY REQUEST FOR A RESPONSE??
I FELL LIKE NO ONE IS THERE.
CAN I PLEASE GET SOME KIND OF RESPONSE!!
and finally on March 20th, almost 30 days later, I get this response:
"Okay,
Please read the document and call the number that is listed in the middle of the page. Please refer to the deed back option as this is the best possible case scenario. They will send you the documents to fill out and send back to them directly. This means you will be out of the TS.
Congratulations,
Taylor
We are claiming TB did nothing to negotiate us out of our timeshare and have requested a refund, we have not heard from them.Business Response

after Iinitiated my complaint to the BBB concerning Tradebloc, I was contacted by ****************** who handles client complaints. after speaking with him, I am very pleased to report that we have agreed to a resolution to my complaint. ****** was very understanding to my issues and I believe I was finally "heard". he responded quickly and efficiently. I believe ****** to be a understanding, knowledgeable and truly a man of intergrity. Tradebloc should consider themselves to be very lucky to have an employee with such values. I am withdrawing my complaint ((resolved) only based on the contact I had with ******.Customer Answer

This company is scamming people out if there money and not doing anything they said. We signed contract in 2022 to get out of a timeshare with Westgate, we went to a presentation and they said 100 percent guarantee, **** percent money back guarantee to get you out if timeshare and there would be no negative impact on your credit. Told ** to stop paying timeshare feees, stop paying mortgage, then over a year later a lawyer contacted **, said I can get you out of timeshare, tradebloc gave ** your info but it's going to cost over ******* more dollars, we already paid $5950.00 and they told a lot of people that day in the presentation that we would never pay a ***** more and we would be out of timeshare. It's been since 2/12/22 and still not out if timeshare, tried to contact them for months to get our money back and they won't answer phone and we've left multiple messages and nothing. This company is a scam and continues to take peoples money like they did ** and they need to be looking into. We are looking into class action lawsuit and demand our money backBusiness Response

I am very sorry this was not answered in the amount of time given. This client is very accurate in the fact that once they paid the initial fee before coming to Tradebloc they would not have to pay anymore. However, once they become our client they are required to sign what's called a Credit and *************** Agreement. In paragraph three (3) it clearly states that there may be a Settlement offer with additional fees. When they are offered a Settlement that does work 100% in their favor they may choose to accept or decline the offer; it is not forced upon them. They also signed an 18-month 100% money back guarantee that if we cannot remove their interest in the timeshare and repair their credit to reflect such then they would receive a full refund after the 18-months only if we were not able to accomplish this. They signed the 18-month guarantee on 2/12/2022 so we have not reached the 18 months yet. From the time they signed up with us on 2/12/22 we have been actively working their case. We also keep very good records of communication with clients and we have documentation to support that we have in fact we have been in communication with them. Thank you.Initial Complaint

** January 2023, I attended at meeting about Timeshare cancellation. I decided to sign up at that time but did not pay any money until January 9. ******* with Tradebloc called and I gave her credit card info. The company states that you can back out within 3 business days, which I did on January 12, 2023. I have an email thread stating all correspondence with this company. **** had me fill out paperwork, sent to appropriate team and said that since I cancelled within the 3-day period, I would not be charged. I told her I had already been charged and to issue a credit to my credit card. I was told they could not do that and that I would receive a refund in the form of a check. ******* with Tradebloc stated they had changed banks and was waiting for checks, this was on January 23, 2023, after two communication efforts with the company. ******* also stated I would receive this in the mail, apologized for the delay and I would receive it as soon as possible. On February 8, I asked status of refund, no response. On February 16, I asked about status of the refund, no response, on March 13, I asked about status, no response. On Aprill 11, I asked about status, no response. I do believe I have been ghosted by Tradebloc.Customer Answer
