My 13 year old son was recommended to go to this inpatient hospital for depression. We were told he was going to have constant therapy, individually and in group, activities, school time and it looked like a very organized structured program. They gave us a schedule with all the fun activities he would have and we thought it was great. He was admitted Tuesday December 5th and he could be there for 7 to 10 days.We could only see him Thursday and we could call him anytime. As the days passed he was telling us how horrible the place was, that he had only 1 hr group therapy and thats it. I ask him about the activities and he said there was none, the only thing they did was watch ****** channel tv and just sit in their room or living area. A doctor called me and ask me for permission to give him medicine to which I said no because I didnt want him sedated. Then he said he was doing good and thats it.On the weekend I called him several times and he didnt have any therapy at all, they literally did not do anything. There were a lot of fights and a lot of the kids were caught with drugs and vape pens, and he said that even the night nurses were always high, they even told him that to his face. I was trying to get my son away from drugs and being a locked hospital I still dont understand how the kids they get. I complained and they told me I could get him discharge today Tuesday December 12th. We went and got him and they made us pay $2000 and sign some documents for discharged. Never telling us how he did, any safety plan, absolutely zero. This place is a total disaster. My son went in for depression and came out worst, all he did was get babysat and thats it. They need to stop this business from ruining other children and selling you something that is not true.
