On December 19th I took my ************* Gl550 to New World auto repair to have them code a new led control module for my headlight. The mechanic did not know what they were doing and completely removed my front end and completely removed my headlights. The mechanic claimed I would need a new headlight and could not code it. When they pulled the vehicle out for me I noticed the headlights were no longer working for the daytime running light. Upon entering the vehicle, I noticed a fault saying intelligent light system inoperative. I informed the owner, ****, and they took the car back in to check it further. The mechanic claimed that once I got it coded it would probably fix it. I informed them that that fault had not been showing until they worked on the car. **** insisted that once I get coded to come back and they will take care of the issue. I returned on Friday December 27th to have them fix the issue and they were unable to do so. **** mentioned that maybe when his mechanic removed the headlight, that it damaged the control module responsible for the intelligent lighting and to call back Monday for replacement parts. On Saturday December 28th I called **** to ensure I would not be charged for their mistakes in which he became angry and refused to take responsibility for the damage. He claimed I would be charged for the repair and the parts because he cant be sure that the fault was not occurring before the 19th. This was after he acknowledged his mechanic could have caused the damage. **** **** up on me and will no longer communicate with me.

this is the mechanic that he states didnt know what he was doing. first off i know exactly what im doing when i get the vehicle with lights not working. the customer had already put parts on the truck that i knew nothing about. only after i had been working on it for over a hour he then comes and tells me hes replaced parts with those from a junk yard. i didnt replace anything and now he states there is a message on the dash about his headlamps.since he had an issue prior to coming here and he has been swapping parts already hes likely the one that caused his issue or another issue from changing out parts. i dont know why he is complaining we didnt even charge him anything for what was done. had he just taken the truck to have someone fix the problem instead of being cheap and trying to squirm around these issues would not have happened. code on chief

I am rejecting this response because:   The reason I am complaining is because I left this shop with more problems than I had when I arrived. I took it to this business to get fixed, but yet the mechanic is asking why I didn't take it to get fixed instead of being cheap? I had already discussed the part I had installed with *** and was instructed to bring the car in to code because it was within their scope of work. This is just further indication that the mechanic has no idea what he was doing. The coding of the module had to be done by a different mechanic shop, due to this mechanic's incompetence. I was not charged anything because they did not do anything other than cause more issues. I spoke to *** and and will attach a text message thread indicating that the problem with my intelligent lighting system occurred after this "mechanic" removed the headlights. I do not understand why this mechanic and **** have to squirm and try and be cheap rather than practicing business with integrity and decency by fixing a problem that they are responsible for.
