      We sent my son's Pokemon card in for grading through GameStop and we stopped being able to get updates on it online and no one would give us an update at the store. It took over four months for us to learn that GameStop had it sitting at their store but they couldn't release it because of an error in their system. We called and emailed every number, address, etc that we could find and threatened a lawsuit but couldn't get any help. Finally we filed a police report so we could use it in court and only then did they agree to release the card. So we went to pick it up and were told, once again, that they couldn't give it to us. The employee called his boss and got their approval to turn it over... they just forgot to let him know. I only leave one star because I couldn't do zero. Disgusting.

      Several weeks ago, I purchased a copy of a PS5 video game and before I left the store, I realized I was charged for a warranty I didn't ask for. While searching Reddit, I learned GameStop practices something called the "assumptive approach" in which employees are trained to place warranties on every single transaction where applicable. I'm unsure if every store is trained this way or if it's still happening or if this is legitimate, but I wanted to let it be known on the BBB website.

      Nothing against the individual store employees they tend to be nice and help as much as they can. Corporate customer service is atrocious and at this point I dont think they even have anyone employed to answer the phones or if they do they are completely under staffed.

      I am writing to warn other consumers about my incredibly frustrating experience with GameStop. I purchased a Dream Vapor Xbox Controller from GameStop only to receive a tampered and defective product. The controller was altered, with its parts mismatched and the battery compartment tampered with. This product was sold to me as new, but it was clearly previously opened and modified.What makes matters worse is that when I reached out to GameStop's customer service, I was completely ignored, and when I followed up, I was falsely accused of tampering with the controller myself. This unprofessional, dismissive, and unethical behavior is a direct violation of consumer protection laws.Additionally, despite my repeated attempts to resolve this matter, GameStop refused to take responsibility, leaving me no choice but to escalate the issue. The company has a terrible reputation across multiple platforms, with a 1-star rating on ConsumerAffairs, BBB, and TrustPilot. These reviews and my own experience show a consistent pattern of fraudulent practices and failure to honor consumer rights.This is not just a return issue; it's about consumer fraud, false advertising, and GameStops failure to uphold ethical business practices. I strongly advise all potential customers to avoid doing business with ********************** until they take action to correct these systemic issues.Warning: GameStop continues to sell defective, tampered products and refuses to resolve legitimate complaints, despite clear evidence of corporate negligence and a lack of accountability.

      I ordered a digital gift card for Christmas and never received it. Gamestop claimed they sent it and when I called they promised to resend that email with the link to the card. They have yet to do that. Subsequently I asked for a refund which they initially said they will send and to check with my financial institution. They never sent the refund and now they are not responding to my emails asking for updates. This is the worse customer service experience I have ever encountered!!!!!

      Order game online was shipped 3/19/2025 still has not made it to carrier at all. I have emailed 3 times called god know how many times and nobody responds to emails or answers calls. It had been way past the 1-3 day shipping window and to not get a response or a person to talk to is BS. And to wonder if I will get item I purchased or not. Or refunded in away is BS. Last time I order online from GameStop and will tell others not to as well. Worst customer service and experience.

      No customer service and lies about days of shipment I purchased a game console on March 13 2025 said it would be delivered 1 to 3 businesses days has not been picked up are shipped as of today March 18 2025 and cannot talk to anybody at customer service

      Worst customer service ever. You should be the example of how not to function as a business. Have not heard back via phone or email. Reached out multiple times both calling and emailingits honestly just pathetic. Youre a big company and for this to be the standard you set for treating your customers is honestly sad. An endless loops that constantly repeats itself on your phone linethen just hangs up. Not surprise your stores/business are dropping like flies.
