I signed my son up for a membership, while I was signing up the employee was telling me it will be $20 a month and I can cancel at any time.. I was charged $50 and I wanted to cancel as that was not the agreement.. when I called the customer service/ cancellation number the lady I spoke with was rude and stated the membership I chose was for a year? No I did not and never once did the employee at the champion forest location stated it was for a year nor that I would have to pay $100 in order to cancel… Do not get a membership at fitness connect they will over charge you and no one will care.. management is rude and just wants money..Fitness Connection

Per agreement, it shows that you enrolled your son in a 12 month commitment which expires 3/1/2024. To cancel before the expiration date, a buyout fee of $99 plus tax would need to be paid as mentioned by the customer service representative. DO NOT SIGN UP AT ANY LOCATION! I have tried to cancel my membership twice since last November. The first time, I went into the gym to give my 30 day notice, and a staff member behind the counter scanned my ID and said I was good to go... that was a lie, and I continued to be charged. In February, I waited on hold for 2 hours before being told that there was no proof I went in to cancel my membership. I said I would pay whatever it took to get out of my membership, and they said I was good to go. It is now April, and I was just charged AGAIN! You're honestly better off at Planet Fitness of all places. This place is a scam.Fitness Connection

I attempted to terminate my membership in gym two times. The most recent being November 16, 2022. I went into the club, they scanned my membership ID, and told me I was good to go—that my membership was closed.
I followed up with their corporate HQ this week and explained that the gym staff scanned my ID and told me I was good to go. Fitness Connections official response was that because there were no notes in their system that there’s nothing they can do for me.
I’ve tried explaining several times that if the gym had improperly terminated my membership, then there is not going to be documentation.
Even though the location on ***** ** ** ************* ** is writhe with complaints in the review section of multiple services, they choose to not care and treat the customers poorly.Fitness Connection

I received a survey from Fitness connection which I filled out honestly. I was not disrespectful, nor did I call anyone out by name, I basically said there are things wrong with the club and they should be fixed. 1. The hot water in the men's room has been out for a month. If we ask when it will be fixed, we are told that a case is open. 2. TVs are broken often and stay that way for weeks on end. 3. Members don't re-rack their weights. And the Trainers in the club do this as well. While the club can encourage members to do so, they can *require* the Trainers to do this. The club manager responded back to me telling me I was "degrading to his staff" and that I was "slandering the work ethic and integrity of my staff". The only thing I said about the staff was - they don't re-rack the weights after they are done training someone. I was then told maybe that "This may not be the right fit for you and your wellness journey." And they could cancel my membership. I never asked for any of this, I only provided feedback on what could be improved. I am a little tired of taking cold showers in the morning.....but I never said I wanted to quite. The Club manager is being short, rude, and disrespectful to a member. When I asked to speak to his boss, his reply was "we don't give out personal information". So basically, I am not telling you so to bad.Fitness Connection

OMG...MY SISTER AND I HAD 1 HOUR AND 45 MINUTES OF TRAINING AND DECIDED TO CANCEL...THAT WAS BACK IN DECEMBER 2022 AND THEY ARE CONTINUING TO CHARGE US. THE TRAINER HASNT EVEN WORKED THERE FOR THE PAST 3 MONTHS!! HAVE CANCELLED WITH CORPORATE TWICE AND IN PERSON 5 TIMES!! NOONE WILL LISTEN...THIS SMELLS LIKE FRAUD!Fitness Connection

I was also transferred to fitness connection from Texas family fitness without my consent. never stepped foot into this gym or even have a key card. i began getting a charge in january and when i saw it i just thought someone had stolen my card info or something i even got an entire new card to only keep getting charged INSANE amounts sometimes 100, sometimes $10 sometimes $26 ????. i decided to call to see what was going on. Keep in mind i canceled my TFF membership months ago. on the phone, i was told that it hadn’t been cancelled and that i had to pay nearly $200. There is absolutely no way that i should be getting charged that much EVEN IF my membership wasn’t cancelled. on top of that they told me they would cancel it but i am still required to pay the membership for March and it won’t be canceled until the end of april. This company is a joke and only wants your money don’t bother on getting a membership here.Fitness Connection

Members were sent an email from Texas Family Fitness to communicate the changes that were happening. If you have proof that a termination was processed months ago, we would be more than happy to correct any issue. The acceptable proof would be the certified letter tracking number or a cancelation email. A 30 days’ notice is required when a cancellation is requested. I’ve been trying to cancel my membership for MONTHS and THEY MAKE IT RIDICULOUSLY HARD. EVERYTIME I CALL IM LIKE 30th IN LINE. ITS RIDICULOUS and I work too much to be able to go to a location. It’s so inconvenient and frustrating to see that they deduct monthly and I HAVENT GONE EVER SINCE I JOINED. Now they deducted $50. I’m 19 and I have things to pay. Our hold time has been higher than normal and we recommend to call Thursday or Friday morning from 8-10 AM when the call volume is lower. There are three ways to cancel your membership. A cancellation may be done in person at the Club, by calling the customer service phone number 1-800-922-7898, or via certified mail at the following address: 2517 Midway Road Carrollton, TX 75006. Fitness connection is marketing one thing and offering another . I joined on Nov 30th and was told that all class would be avaliable. A few weekd after I started still no classes showing up online I went into the center to inquire because i joined for 2 class the cycling class they only offer on Saturdays and the yoga they are not offering at all. I visited the gym 2x before joining expressing to the they I need the classed and the classes they offe rare the reason for me joining. As of today nno class. I called cst service the first angent hung up on me after I would accept them telling me therw was nothing they could the 2nd agent pretty much said the same thing and stated that i would need to give a 30day notice. I was transferred from Texas family fitness without my consent to the watauga location of fitness connection. I never consented to this transfer. Prior to it happening we received notice and I cancelled with with Texas family fitness and was told this would stop the transfer. Weeks later I was charged a recurring fee from fitness connection. I have never stepped into this gym, received a keycard or sought their services. I spent 2 hrs trying to get someone on the phone only to be put on a List to cancel for a callback. I get called back, no empathy, denied a refund and all that could be done was cancel as of that date. Totally unacceptable. I asked for a copy of a contract I signed setting up recurring payments from fitness connection, authorization of the transfer to begin with and agreement to their policies. They didn’t have it, all while requiring my documentation to hold me to recurring payments setup by someone they bought out. Scumbag business practices, totally unethical.Fitness Connection

Go to ******* ******* or even pay more more to go to ********** ....only care about getting your money. I've been a member at the Arlington and Fort Worth, Tx location, and had problems with cancellation and service fees associated with their both memberships... Front desk had literally told me to write out a request for cancellation and mail it in with cancellation fees to discourage me from cancellation when you can call their customer service department and cancel Most recently I froze my account bc I moved after having a death in the family. Shortly after I had Covid for the first time since it started 3 years ago, so since I couldn't return to train I called and asked for my freeze to be extended and was told to call back the last week of the month for an extension, so I called a week prior to my due date, 7-10 days from due date, and asked for the extension which was last week of July and the customer service representative agreed to freeze my account until October; however, I told her if I couldn't get the extension that I needed to cancel. Well I got the freeze but it wasn't for August like she mentioned, it was for September and October, but when I spoke with her she did not mention anything about that and simply said it would be until October. With that being said I was charged $10 late fee and my monthly which was bull**** bc my payment has always been automatic withdraw, so why did I get charged a late fee?...Wth!... My account was supposed to be frozen so I wasn't even charged on the correct billing date, but mid month the 15th, -$23.53 hit my account then after calling customer service I was told to call the gym, gym told me to call customer service, and after given a different # I was told they had no record and told me I called on August 3rd which was not true, and it's policy so they will not give me refund. Not even enough room 4 rest of story, mind you have never missed payment 2 yrs :(Fitness Connection

On your account it does show the first freeze request for 60 days was placed on 4/26 and your account was frozen from 5/2-7/31 with payments starting again on 8/1. You were refunded for May dues, due to our mistake and putting the freeze in late. Then on 8/3 you called in again to put your account on another freeze for 60 days. An email confirmation was sent both times. Since you called in on 8/3, we placed the freeze for the next bill cycle, which would be 8/31-10/31. Your account is still on a freeze and will not bill until 11/1. The freeze and cancel policies can be found on your agreement as well as our website at https://fitnessconnection.com/membership-policies/. If you wish to discuss your account or this matter farther, we encourage you to contact our customer service team at 800-922-7898- Monday through Friday 8AM-6PM CST.
