Purchased a memorial bench from Dignity Memorial at Greenlawn Cemetery in Jacksonville FL for $14k +/-. 90 days have passed and have heard nothing from anybody at Dignity Memorial. Turns out the 3 people I have been working with left the company and NO ONE was assigned to take over their accounts or answer their emails. Every business professional interred at Greenlawn is spinning in their grave. Is this any way to run a business, let alone, provide Dignity to the bereaved of those that have passed on? I am so disappointed (that word is not strong enough!) in Dignity Memorial's process I would demand my money back, but the Family has suffered enough through Dignity Memorial's process, or more precisely the lack thereof. Dignity Memorial appears to have lost sight that the people interred at your cemeteries, evidently there are several throughout NE Florida are not just remains or ashes. But complaining will get me nothing because Dignity Memorial just doesn’t appear to care. Just because the Dignity Memorial employees you’re dealing with speak softly and act all empathetic it doesn’t mean they care one bit. “Buyer Beware” and be prepared for the possibility that your Family’s grief will be extended due to the poor service provided by Dignity Memorial. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

We purchased plots from another party on Ebay. When transferring the title, we were required to meet with ******** ******** and sold an insurance policy. Under the impression we could cancel if necessary. We have had multiple issues with the automatic payments deducted from our credit card, three months of double payments. Received a letter advising we were being sent to collections for being behind on payments. Multiple calls later we were told we had a credit and wouldn't be charged for a couple months. We continued to be charged, still showing a credit. Up to this point we have paid half of the amount of the policy for prepaid funeral arrangements. We called to cancel and were told we could cancel but they do not refund. Our money would just sit as a credit. This was not explained during the sale of their services. Yes, we plan to be buried there because that is where our plots are owned with title in hand but the experience with the arrangements, payments, customer service have been horrible. I cannot imagine having to deal with this when dealing with the stress of one of us passing. Now we are stuck continuing to make payments, getting the run around etc. because they basically lock you in. Yes, I should have read everything more thoroughly but the documents we have the print is barely legible as they must have been running out of ink. Also, I guess we were a little to trusting. I would not recommend pre-purchasing funeral arrangements through them.

Lincoln Cemetery in Alsip, IL was a lovely well-kept cemetery. That is, prior to Dignity taking over. My family dates back 80 years at Lincoln. Roads are horrible with craters, old dried floral pieces still on graves. For some alleged reason there are countless monuments that are turned over or tilted. This never occurred before. Dignity is turning this once pristine final resting by place into a ghetto. I have complained to the office but corporate has their hands tied apparently. Dignity is awful!

Dad is laid to rest at the Wheat Ridge, CO location. In the past 3 years there has been little to no lawn care maintenance. Dad’s plot is decent but only because WE planted grass and WE take several gallons of water once or twice a week to maintain it. The whole area surrounding him is an eyesore. It’s mostly dirt and weeds and so many severely sunken graves and headstones. We’ve voiced our concerns a few times with the office/grounds crew but nothing has changed. It is sad that Dad and all the other loved ones in that area have not been treated with dignity, nor have they been given the “picturesque location” that Olinger/Crown Hill, Wheat Ridge professes on their website.
We’ve also found that their posted rules for general clean up of flowers/mementos are posted for no reason because they constantly change depending on who you talk to in the office or from the grounds crew.
      We are so disappointed…
Crown Hill, you are caring for Our Dad, PLEASE do better!

We just walk-in to inquire to make arrangement to pick the body of my husband at VA hospital . Harry ******* ***** was not friendly and hostile to ask if we have appointment. Without asking to say “ May I help you “ as professional approach. I volunteer to tell him what I needed to do or protocol .He said that there’s no director and not enough staff to talk with us. He’s arguing and just angry telling me that VA should release first the body. I said I signed everything needed to release the body showing them my paperwork. Few minutes , one nasty woman show up saying that VA hospital is always like that.. I said they are nice people over there and gave to me the paper work. Then I decided not to deal with them anymore. She gave us her business card . ***** ******* ** *** ***** ******** . Three more men show up and having bad attitude . Their company’s mission is very opposite how they treated us.No passion ! I was grieving but they mistreated me in a way they talk hostile with us. Unforgettable moments on January 26,2023 morning. My husband passed away on January 25,2023 night.

Terrible experience! I purchased plots at ******** ******* more than 20 years ago. My wife died December 22, 2022. The only Memphis Funeral Home phone number that is available after hours was not working and there was no emergency number available. Hospice called repeatedly and even went to the funeral home to report that a body needed to be picked up. Her body was not picked up from my home until the following day. I waited 3 weeks then called Gina *******, the location manager that took my money for the arrangements, repeatedly to find out the status of the death certificates and my phone calls were not returned. At the 5 week mark, I was able to talk to David **** and got the following answers: "The death certificates will be ordered today," five weeks after the death. He also claimed, "There was a problem with the TN office and it usually takes 4 to 5 weeks to get the death certificates." Then he said they would order them today and get them in 2 to 4 days, which is inconsistent with the previous statement. There were apparently no plans to follow up on anything after ******* ******** cashed my
check. What a horrible, horrible experience for a grieving family to deal with!

Worst visitation ever. For my father to have his visitation here was disgraceful to him. They had a picture of some smiling family up right next to a photo of my dad. They were smiling and happy and no relation to my father. There was no skirt around the bottom of the coffin. The staff was not very sympathetic they've obviously been in the business too long. People in times of grief need compassion and caring and to have more thought by the place to put in the work to make it about the individual who passed. It was very cold towards my father it felt as though his life didn't matter. No pamphlets were made for him for us to have. This was a pitiful excuse of a place. Very disappointing! I would never hold services here my stepmother did my dad a disservice holding his visitation here.

Before my grandma passed away she planned and paid the services which costed thousands of dollars. It’s been 9 months and they haven’t put in an order yet for my grandmas gravestone. These people ignored my aunt and I. They left my aunt on hold for 2 hours and they weren’t even busy! It seems that after my dead grandmother had paid for the service beforehand, they just kept us hanging. This is very unethical and a sketchy way of doing business.

The company made daily harassing phone calls to collect a $26.71 one time late payment. The bill was lost in the mail. I gave them my payment info twice because it “did not go through” the first time. They call and ask the customer to verify their information with no way to verify who is calling. I do not recommend this company.

My mother passed away in January 2022. At that time we paid in full for the plaque for her crypt. It is now August 2022 and I am told it will be another 3-4 months before the plaque is going to be installed. We got the run around for months with this issue. They have full payment, and have full control. This is simply preying on people when they are at their weakest. Please do not do business with this company.
