If I could give it no stars I would. I pay for my car payments every two weeks. They still call telling me Im late. Great! And like clock work they still get paid. Today, I tried accessing my account. My password no longer works. My username no longer matches. I reset my password. I was waited for the email to appear. It didnt. After 30 minutes I called them. The person on the other end, wanted me to recite my SS, DOB, address, and account number (I cant access my account). When I wouldnt recite my full SS, they wanted employer, address, phone number (the same one I called from) to be verified. Seriously? I repeated the same ish twice. Just for him to tell me my payments are late would I like to pay. No ish Sherlock. Im trying to pay ONLINE. He offered to assist me in that. I said no. Give me access to my account, where is my RESET? He said it would take 24 hours to receive the email. So would like to tell him how much I planned on paying tomorrow. I said no until the password reset comes in. Seriously canceling my PW and having me reset it so I would talk to you, is incredibly frustrating and predatory.

Worst finance company ever. Paid over $8,000 on my $17,000 loan in a year and still owed over $15,000. I'm paying the remaining balance in full as I called them to have over payments put towards principal and they refused to. So, If my regular payment is $346 and I pay $500 only about $125 of that goes towards principal. Geesh! They aren't "helping" anyone but themselves.

Sent a closed paid account from 2023 to Experian. Have not received any rhythm or reason why this happened. This caused my credit score to go down when the account was closed for over two years. NO one should not have to endure this because some igit wanted to mess around and play with closed paid accounts causing havoc.

On February 22, 2025, my husband and I purchased a vehicle from ******* ******. The vehicle was financed through Exeter Finance LLC for $24,830.96 at an outrageous interest rate of *****%. Our first payment was due March 24, 2025.Problems:Excessive Interest / Loan Terms The loans structure is predatory. After three months of timely payments, the principal balance has not meaningfully decreased. We were not properly informed of the long-term cost or offered alternative options.Hidden Fees There were undisclosed and confusing fees added to the loan, which were not transparently explained during signing.Vehicle Not Emissions Compliant Lemon Law Violation Shortly after purchase, we discovered the car could not pass Georgia emissions testing, a requirement for vehicle registration and legal operation. This is the dealer's legal responsibility to ensure before sale, and it was never disclosed to us at the time of purchase. This constitutes a clear violation of Georgias Lemon Law and consumer protection statutes. We are now stuck with a car that:Cannot legally be driven or registered Was financed at a predatory rate Was sold in violation of state law Requested Resolution:A full loan audit by Exeter Finance LLC, with interest rate reduction to a fair and legal level.Refund or adjustment of hidden or undisclosed fees.Immediate responsibility taken by ******* ****** for selling a non-emissions compliant vehicleincluding either full repair at no cost or vehicle buyback.Compensation for time, stress, and financial impact caused by these practices.A response from both the dealer and lender acknowledging wrongdoing and offering a solution.Supporting Documents:We can provide the original loan paperwork, payment history, emissions test failure notice, and any related communication upon request.

I was so happy that I got someone to finance my car for me at carfax. I needed reliable transportation and felt that my prayers were answered. I love my car but I have made 6 payments and not 1 payment has averaged up enough to cover the cost of some the principal. 1 of my payments went straight towards the interest another only 1 dollar and some change went to the principal. I even paid a month ahead to see if it made a difference but didn't. And I can't find anyone to refinance. The refinance rejections are almost instant. I know they are in this business to make money but this is unethical. Why is this okay anywhere????? Date of experience: November 22, 2024 attempts to find a another lender 5 and still searching.

In October of 2020 I purchased a vehicle from a local ***** dealership and this was the finance company. In August of 2021 I sold the vehicle to ****** and paid the loan in full. Exeter mailed me a letter stating the obligation was satisfied and loan closed out, they then reported the loan as a charge-off on my credit report which I'm disputing and working on retaining legal representation to file a lawsuit against them! If you have a loan with them... get someone new ASAP! This company operates illegally !

I always make my payments on time, but for some reason they dont post on time, and I end up getting charged a late fee. Then I have to contact support just to get it removed. Its frustrating. On top of that, their website is awful, every time I try to log in from my desktop, it wont load. The only way I can access it is by using Chromes incognito mode and refreshing the page multiple times. The whole experience is terrible.

From the beginning I was disappointed with the experience. APR% is high, and lead me to believe that Exeter Finance prays on who are in financial turmoil. Paperwork and terms aren't clear, unexpected fees and conditions. Speaking to someone is impossible, especially someone that speaks clear English. The only time you get to speak to someone is when you're late on your bill and good gracious they'll call you a million times. Interest/APR is so high that it's sometime difficult to make payments on time. I'd had my vehicle since 2019, and didn't start paying off the vehicle until ***************************** 2022 I started having serious mechanical issues, the biggest one being transmission replacement. I had to choose between making payments or fixing the vehicle. Sometimes I'd chose to fix the vehicle and sometimes I chose to make a payment so my credit wouldn't suffer. Each time when I felt that my decisions would place the car in repossession, or even me being late on payments I would call Exeter and communicate with them. Eventually, I'd grown tired of it and after replacing he transmission in 2022 I had to replace the motor in 2023, again I'd communicated that with Exeter as well. Each time someone would verbalize understanding and would push a payment back or not add late fee. In 2023 my vehicle was stolen, my insurance paid off half of course. I'd reached out to the dealership that I purchased the vehicle from and was notified that the gap insurance was canceled by Exeter Finance, and placed into repossession! Exeter received a gap insurance check from the dealership and never notified me of neither actions on their part! I'm left with a hefty balance I can't afford and all Exeter Finance had to do was payback the gap insurance and it would've reinstated the gap and the car could've completely been paid off. Yet, they report every 30days to credit bureaus the vehicle was charged off! Killing my credit! This is the worse auto finance company EVER! STAY AWAY!
