This company took over my loan almost a year ago. They can't seem to apply my monthly payment correctly and I have to call them each month to fix. ******** with them is the rudest of them all. Most are clueless if you can get through on phone in a reasonable amount of time. I would stay as far away from this company as you can. 1 star is generous but ZERO is not an option.

Deceptive business practices with customers (I'm sure I'm not the only one) - lying to customers. From the looks of their history, this deception is a cultural problem within the company and is probably even actively encouraged by company management. I found out that my mortgage through USAA was sold to Mr. Cooper (a company I've never heard of). I have a great mortgage with an amazing rate. A representative from Mr. Cooper called me as a "courtesy call for our new customers". He stated that he wanted to go over some of my mortgage details with me to make sure that I was still getting the rates that I did under USAA and to see if there was anything that needed to be modified now that Mr. Cooper was servicing the loan. I said "Ok sure...", to which he replied "Alright, great. I'll just have to connect you to another one of our representatives to go over the details with you". He connected me to another representative and then left the call. This new representative said "So I understand you'd like to refinance your mortgage?". No. Just no. Not even in the slightest. The fact that the first representative never made his intentions clear and that he never used the word "refinance" or anything that even sounded like the concept of refinancing a mortgage means to me that he was trying to ******* me. God forbid he did this to my elderly parents in this economy. Not a good first impression for a new customer who's never heard of your ********************** before. This company preys on its customers. Do not use them if you have an option.

Company does not respect unsubscribing from emails. I receive marketing emails almost daily, and have unsubscribed multiple times, but to no avail.

My Dad passed away Nov 17, 2020. And with in that year his house payment has been sold to 3 different loan companies. Well this company is by fair the mosh unhelpful And unprofessional Ive seen. I call to get the payoff amount, because I was tired of explaining the loss of my Dad and my Son having to ok that they talk to me about the payment and Im the one that handles everything. My Dad left everything to my Son , Daughter and my nice they raised. Well while trying to talk to a man ****** about paying off the house, there was so much back ground talking and laughing I could barely hear him. So I told him Im couldnt hear him with all the background noise. He replied Im sorry there having a meeting. Ok what kind of company has a meeting with loud talking and laughing where the phone is being answered. Then he wouldnt give me the payoff at first , told me he could mail it to me or send by email. Well I told him I have the email with the amount I just need to make sure the amount was right and would like to pay it off. Well then he tells me the amount and said he cant take the payment over the phone I needed a cashier check. What ?? I have payed 1 payment and he couldnt take the payoff. Then tells me he understood my frustration. I told him no he didnt unless hes buried both parents and having to deal with c*** like this every month. So I go today and get the cashiers check I called to make sure I had the right address to send it to. Nope I need to overnight the payoff payment. Mind you its not due till September 10, And its August 29 so it had 12 days to get to CA. Then I had to pay over $26 dollars to get it there in 2days. The post office said there is no way to overnight to CA from NC. So now I took a half day from work to go to the bank to get the check, spent over $26 to overnight ( 2 days) when it would have been there on time. And now Im out over $150 from time off and mailing expenses. difference of over $800 in *******************

Worst customer service ever! They lose everything they say is saved in our files. EVERY YEAR they send a letter saying we don't have flood insurance and every year we and our insurance agent spends months, calling, emailing documents, and uploading documents to prove we have it. It usually takes 3-4 months, in the meantime Mr. Cooper takes it upon themselves to purchase a separate flood insurance policy with our escrow funds, leaving no funds to pay our insurance and taxes. Last year we were ASSURED that would never happen again and everything was noted in our file that our homeowners policy covered flood. Got a letter today stating we don't have flood insurance. And now they have lost the note from my husband giving them permission to speak with me. Worst company ever.

I gave one star only because you don't have an option for a negative star. This company as no positive attributes, yet I just saw an article published 20 July 2022 as the BBB giving them & their mothership Nationstar Mortgage a B+ rating. Unbelievable. My mortgage was sold several times with disastrous consequences to me, the consumer. Wells Fargo sells to Citibank, Citibank sells to Nationstar & Nationstar hands it off to Mr. Copper as a Mortgage Debt Collection Company. If throwing the consumer around like a piece of meat between Mortgage Companies isn't bad enough, I found it extremely offended to be passed off to a "Debt Collection Company" when I have had a FICO Score between 800 to 850 for many years. Mr. Copper has done nothing but mishandled so many payments & trying to get them resolved is exhausting. Here's just a few examples: I make monthly payments several months ahead so if something goes wrong, I can skip a payment & still be okay. But they applied the whole payment to "unapplied funds". I call to resolve it & get a lecture that I cannot make too many payments ahead of time. Wasn't a problem before doing business with Wells Fargo or Citibank. I call my insurance company to reassess my coverage & of course that payment is higher now. I call Mr. Copper to explain that cost will affect my escrow account, yet they failed to pay the insurance, so I pay the insurance company directly. Twice I get a letter saying my escrow funds are insufficient, I send them money for escrow, they send me a check back saying I have an overage in escrow & then raise my monthly payments. As stated before, my monthly payments are paid ahead, 5 months ahead to be exact. I go to their website at the required specific location to specifically make a "principal payment only" & they take out a monthly payment with only apply the rest of the balance to the principal payment. Two days calling, phone disconnected numerous times, never resolved. My resolution, I paid the mortgage off.

This is the worst company that I have had to deal with in business and in regards to a mortgage. When you have a claim and need to fix your home, they will hold on to your insurance money, have you jump through various hoops, so that you can get your home fixed, maybe. Theyre agents are very under trained in understanding how things work and how to get things done. They do not care if you have damage that needs to be fixed quickly, before the problems get worse. They will hold your insurance money hostage. If you have to deal with them, you might as well get an attorney to help you. They should not be in business.

Absolutely THE worst loan company. If I could leave zero stars, I would. It's nearly impossible to get someone on the phone to handle issues- everything is an automated circle. My property insurance was canceled because Mr Cooper didn't pay it after FIVE TIMES calling and being told it was handled. I even got an email stating it was paid. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL business 😡

my original loan was modified in december 2018 with Community Loan Servicing .Mr. Cooper bought my loan in July 2022. In doing so my total amount due went up $1000 and my payments went up $10. Mr. Cooper turned around and sold my loan to Rushmore loan Management in the same month. My terms and apr hasnt changed but the payments have.

Outrageously poor customer service. Took $3000 from me and took forever to refund it. Bad business practice for USAA to sell their mortgages to the worst mortgage company in existence. One person tells you one thing and another tells you something different. They told me I could make biweekly payments and walked me through it. It never worked. I had to call all of the time to have them fix it. They even managed to take out an extra one and a half payments. They completely wiped out my bank account. Was told over and over again it was being fixed. They didn't make any sense when they were trying to figure out what happened. I explained it numerous times to 5 people. Twice I startd crying with the person I was talking to. After 9 days I managed to get someone who fixed it in 25 minutes.
