      So I was basically scammed. Romex salesman made it seem like he was partners with Dons pest control/weed. They are 100% not affiliated. Then we get charged twice ****** dollars equaling almost 340 dollars. I ask to lower the charges and they lower the every other month charges to 89 dollars. How do you cut the price in half and its still the same service. Im new to the area and I just wanted pest control and weed control with dons. I called dons about some pest control issues because Romex didnt solve it and dons was saying they are not affiliated with Romex. So that made me upset so I just want to cancel. Now Im getting told there is a 250 dollar cancellation fee. So basically Im about to get charged 590 dollars for 1 service. Make it make sense please.

      I fell upon a financial hardship and needed to cancel my outrageous 18 month contract with Romex pest control I have completed 12 months of service and absolutely need to cancel the service the person I spoke to said that there is no way to cancel without charging me $250 and they didnt care the reason even if it put me into overdraft at the bank the only option is to go month by month at $99 with a new contract offered me no one else to speak to and said that there are no supervisor at all at their company and no one to speak to other than her a company that cares only about making money off of people that can no longer afford the service. Its shameful and unethical I could never do this to anyone!!!

      I am rejecting this response because:   Im dealing with a family Emergency and Could not answer the phone when I called back less than an hour later. The lady on the phone told me that ****** was not available offered no other solution so I said until I talk to ****** about this ridiculous response that I got From Romex I am absolutely unsatisfied Its nobodys business, but my wife was in a car accident and the medical bills are gonna be outrageous out of everybody. I canceled Romex is the only one. charging me a cancellation fee its obvious they dont care about anything except their precious dollars

      My husband was approached at our home about signing up for pest control services. He signed a 12 month contract, but was assured that we would be able to switch these services to quarterly sprays at any time. We contacted the company after the first spray to switch to quarterly sprays and were informed that while we could change the frequency of sprays, we would still be charged a monthly fee.

      After 11 months of paying this company over ***** dollars, there has been zero change in the mosquito population, that the salesperson assured would be taken care of. The salesperson made a lot of promises, and never mentioned a cancelation fee while standing on my porch. I paid a lot of money, I did not get the service that was promised, so I just want to move on. However, this company is still charging me a ****** dollar cancelation fee. I just want to move on, and perhaps find a company that can help me. But I will not pay a cancelation fee to a company that already has ***** dollars of my money, and did not provide the service agreed upon.

      ****************** Control sold to Romex. Annual service was scheduled by Romex on 04/07 , appt. ***** AM. After multiple phone calls & as many excuses, technician came at 4:40 PM. The bill was paid in full with a check for $389.70. Seven days later received a demand for payment. Check was deposited & cleared bank on 4/22/25. This morning received request for an additional $389.70 for "reoccuring charges". Called customer service asking what the charges were for and how often they would reoccur. This person could not explain. "Have to talk to manager" "someone will call you back". Threat of collection agency. Am still waiting for a call back.

      Im filing this complaint because Romex Pest Control continues to ignore clearly posted No Soliciting signs, including at my own residence. On May 1, 2025, a Romex representative rang my doorbell despite a visible sign posted directly near it. This not only violated my expressed request for privacy but also woke me from sleep, which was extremely frustrating.After checking Romexs ****** reviews, I found dozens of similar complaints from other homeowners saying Romex solicited at their doors despite having No Soliciting signs clearly displayed. This shows a clear pattern of intentional disregard for homeowner boundaries and a lack of respect for community standards.I am not seeking any financial compensation or criminal penalty. I simply want Romex to:1.Acknowledge the issue and stop training or encouraging **** to ignore posted signs.2.Commit to respecting No Soliciting signs going forward.This kind of behavior is unacceptable, and I hope BBB holds them accountable.

      The Romex salesman came to my house and sold me the service based on information that was not at all accurate. I was told that it would be $130 plus tax and service would be quarterly. They were going to come back 1 month after initial treatment as a followup at no charge to make sure all was good. Romex has never done any treatment inside my home which was part if the $130 initial cost (Romex has come by twice and never has dome anything iside my home). When I received the first invoice, it was for $150.47. I then received another invoice 1 month after for $130.99. This was for the follow up that I was told would be at no charge. When speaking with ***************** the ********************** Representative was very rude and said he was not there in person to confirm what our salesman said. I told him exactly what was said and what the acceptance of service was based on. He again said he was not there so now I feel that he is calling me a liar. I want my initial billing corrected to $130.00 plus tax. I also want my "follow up" billing creditetd back because it was told that it would be at no charge. I also want to cancel service altogether with being charged $250.00. I am not at all satisfied with anything Romex has done and neither are my neighboirs as they experienced the same issues. I just want to cancel service (or lack there of) and move forward and put this behind me. I expect a return explanantion and solution to my issues but I am sure this will not happen either.

      I signed a contract with Romex Pest Control in March 2024, and they provided wrong Information from the start. I was told about the following: 1. My service fee will be $139 and when in reality it was $139 + Taxes and it comes out to be $150.47 /service.2. I will have quarterly services for one year, whereas they started with a service in every two months. This gives them extra 2 services in a year, charging me an addition $300.94 3. They told me the contract was only for 12 months. When I reached out to them on 02/21/25 to not renew my contract anymore, I am told the contract is for 18 months instead and they cannot cancel my subscription yet. This is the violation of what I signed up for and the contract was signed only for 12 months.I am feeling cheated and scammed into signing up for a service which is highly dissatisfactory. It did not control the Scorpion problems I was facing in my house, and they are charging almost double than what a competitive company would charge. Now, their contract cancellation service is reading into fine print which clearly mention that the contract could be for 12 or 18 months whereas, I signed up for the 12 months duration. They are clearly violating the contract and doing bad business practice of scamming people with more charge and longer duration of the contract without their knowledge. I would request you to please look into this matter and refund me the extra two months' worth of service charge that they intend to get from me until September of 2025. This company should be fined for bad practices and scamming the innocent customers.Thank you.Swati

      Romex Pest Control offered their services to control pests in and around my home. The tech comes every other month, and sprays in about 5 areas in my 2300 sq. ft. house. There are more pests than before the treatment. $180 every two months is ridiculous when they spray 5 areas in the house (I work remote and followed the tech to see where he sprayed.) This is robbery. I talked with Romex about my dissatisfaction with their services and they refused to cancel my contact, stating a tech can come out any time. And spray 5 additional areas?! Disrupting my day?! No, thank you.

      Romex was very aggressive pushing their services throughout our newly built neighborhood. Technicians did not perform services as agreed upon. Months later, despite monthly service, there are scorpions and spiders throughout the house. Nothing works as advertised. When calling to complain they immediately went to a $250 cancellation fee with no other option or recourse except a "re-service." ************ is awful - do not do business with them. Slick talking owner with absolutely no substance or service that works.
