  BE AWARE!I'm utterly disappointed and frustrated with Romex Pest Control. Their service was nowhere near satisfactory. Firstly, their "comprehensive" pest treatment was nothing more than a quick spray at the front door, completely ignoring the entire backyard which is obviously the main problem area. This half-hearted attempt has actually led to an increase in bugs rather than diminishing them.Moreover, there's a sneaky contract cancellation fee that they conveniently fail to mention upfront. You're locked into an 18-month contract, and if you decide their inadequate services aren't for you, you're slapped with a hefty $250 cancellation fee. Despite their promises of free additional services if you're unhappy and the option to cancel anytime, it's all misleading. These are just sales tactics to lock you into their subpar service.BE AWARE of these hidden terms and don't fall for this company's deceitful practices. It's not just a waste of money; it's a complete and utter scam.

  I was mislead about the cost of service after the initial treatment. I think they scammed me and lied to me about how much the service would cost on a bi monthly basis. Deceptive business practices

  In August 2023, a salesman came to our home from Romex Pest Control to sell us their service. He arrived with a tablet for us to sign but had no print capability, he held the tablet not letting us read but only showing us the place to sign while he talked. We were not initially interested in this service. ************* was very aggressive and we finally agreed to have the house treated that night. We only agreed for the service that first night because ************* assured us that if we were not satisfied, we could cancel the service at any time. He never mentioned that Romex would charge us a cancellation fee.We called Romex the next day to tell them that the service was not complete, they had failed to treat areas where wasp nests were under our *****. Not very good service. Days after the service we were surprised to see more ants and spiders, which we thought shouldnt be there after the treatment.Weeks later, another service rep came to our house to perform more treatments, and we told him we did not want more service because we were not happy with Romex. It was this service rep who told us we would be charged a Cancellation Fee.Several more times a Romex representative would contact us via phone or text, we told them we were not happy with your service and wish to cancel the service. Their response to us was aggressive and threatening. They then told us they would be a $250 cancellation fee. This was never told to us or explained when we signed up or we would not have signed for this service.After Romex notified us of a Cancellation charge, they threatened to take further action. Romex has turned this over to A.R.M. Solutions, a collection agency. We are senior citizens, and this situation has caused us both a great deal of pressure and stress, affecting our health and wellbeing. We believe your business practices are unethical.

  Dishonest. Several of my neighbors got duped into buying termite treatment packages because the Romex sales people lied and told them that the dead trees in the neighborhood were caused by termites. We are in a new subdivision, so some saplings that were plated by the builder died due to the ice storm or extreme heat (and watering restrictions) we have had.

  Need to train the sale people that come into neighborhoods to accept the word no. The person that came by today(twice) was aggressive when told no. I would never do business with a company that has people like this representing them.

  On 8/1/2023 a sales rep for Romex knocked on my door to pitch me their services. After declining their services for over an hour due to already having a pest control company contracted, the sales rep told me they didn't want to leave without at least offering me something that would let them prove their quality and offered to spray my front yard only for mosquitos for a one-time price of $69. That seemed reasonable since mosquitos were indeed bad, so I agreed that if I could have a one-time treatment that they claimed they would warranty for year, I would pay to have it performed. The process the rep explained was a two-step process, and so they would spray that day and then again later in the fall whenever they were in the area due to the low cost and it being a follow up service.On October 10, I had someone from Romex perform what I believed was that follow-up visit, only I was then charged $139 shortly after. When I called to ask why, they told me I had enrolled in a one-year service contract; I quickly explained that that was not true, I paid an invoice via mobile tablet credit card processing and that I never once consented to a recurring service, and stated how their rep expressed that this was a one time deal. I told them that any document that I signed was 100% misrepresented to me because that is not what I was told I was paying for. The only e-document I signed was related to a disclosure about pesticides or something, and I read through everything I could but nowhere was there anything about a contract service being agreed to.The account manager, *******, essentially told me I was a liar and they had a signed contract, and when I asked to speak to his manager he just told me that he was the last guy anyone spoke with "about this stuff". I asked for his name and office location since I am going to contact the police to file a report on what is fraudulent activity, and he refused to give me either and hung up before charging me a $250 cancellation fee.

  Called to cancel after the spiders got worse and my baby got bit twice in one month. Told me to send proof which I did and they still havent acknowledged and are wanting to continue to charge me.

  Terrible service they do not honor the service agreement they never showed for the second treatment and when I tried to cancel contact they charged me $250 cancellations fee. They are scamming homeowners by having them sign agreements and not honoring them when you question them or try to cancel they charge you cancellation fees

  On June 29th a young man came to my door selling Romex Pest Control Services. He would not take no for an answer, and lead me to believe he would give me the best price offer he could. He knocked of $100 for the initial start up service that left me to pay $269/ and $169. every other month. I learned that he offered my neighbor the same service for $0 start up and $99 every other month. They did not take the service/ When I call the Manager, I was told he could not verify. I cancelled all service and asked for part of the initial service money back, and was told no. They did the initial service for pest in the yard, and knocked down 1 wasps nest, but not $269. worth. It only took the technician 20 minutes, and he did not do the large side yard, What would be the difference from the initial pest service and the regular service every other month, which the manager told me he could do for $99 if I kept the service.
