I am really not happy about having to file this complaint. I just have not been able to get any resolution. My husband and I moved to ********* in 2021 we purchased a PlayStation 5, a washer and dryer set, sectional, a cuddler, computer, and mattress. We have since Paid in Full the PlayStation 5, the washer and dryer set, and the color. I still have open contracts on the sectional, the computer, in the mattress. Last month while I was out of town some items were stolen from my house. I filed the police report and sent that to Rent-A-Center. I was told by the representative that my police report does not state that there was force entry so therefore the limited damage waiver that I pay for does not cover the computer and I will still need to pay for it. I find that to be outrageous!! I have attached *********** damage waiver that I was asked to sign with my rental agreement. Nowhere does it state that the theft needs to be a result of forced entry. If there is finer fine print it sure was not included here. Please please help me remedy this situation. All that I am asking is to be able to submit a claim with my limited damage waiver for my computer.

I am rejecting this response because:   credit acceptance is aware they overcharged on my son's rental account but was told to dispute the over charge with our bank.

We should not have to go through that when the company is at fault for the over charge

      Business Response

      Dear ************:

********************** alleges that Rent-A-Center has overcharged her son, however failed to provide supporting documentation or specified a date of overcharge. Our records show we have only drafted rental payments in accordance to the agreement. Without additional documentation, we consider this complaint closed.

I'm back in January I ordered a bed from Rent-A-Center. About 2 weeks later I ordered a couch. Around March I had went in to make a payment. I had my 2-year-old son with me. We seen a Hot Wheels car that was on clearance for $250. I asked if you did the rent to own if it would still be $250 I was told yes. Get the car home only to find out that it was not taken charge. Also on my agreement I seen that the total was at $700. So I called the store and informed them. They told me they would have the balance changed and send me a replacement charger. ********************************* no charger. I had called three times about this issue to belittled. The last time I called I told them that they could come pick up everything besides my bed. They literally told me I would have to make another payment on the car and couch in order to keep my bed. That's so far I have paid $900 on. With the car I have paid a little over 300 for something that was only supposed to be 250. That never worked. Not including the many days that my two-year-old wanted to play with a car that just sat there. Instead of trying to make it right they just talk to me like c*** I work hard for my money just like anyone else.

Purchasing from them a washer and dryer it was picked up and was suppose to on a 30 day hold it was picked up on 4-22-23. I called with in 5 days to start my rental agreement back up and was told it was sold. Before it was picked up I was told by more than one employee that it would be held for 30 days and it was not. When I asked them they said they would be finding me a washer and **** of equal value. It has been more than 30 days and I have not heard back from them I also asked another copy for my contracts and have not received them either. Talking with **** he told me he talk to someone and they told him it was her mother's account and she had nothing to do with it so he had not talk to me. It was my daughter but he took it as if I was not going to get them back. . When I advised him about it he said it really does not matter who he talked to. . My daughter is not on my account. I asked for some type of assistance he has yet to call and offer any.

We have been customers with rent a center since march of 2020. May 15,2023 they billed our bank account without permission. I went to my bank, I called the ****************** office we deal with I complained to management **** insisted my husband called in @ 11:29am 5/13/23 I argued with him that we DID NOT! I called corporate *** 16th and filed a complaint. The district manager was supposed to call me within 24 hours and never did! We forgot again to make our payment 5/27/23 I checked my bank account today again they billed my bank account without permission! This is illegal and I refuse to do business with a company that operates like this! I will be calling tomorrow asking for a refund and for them to pick up their merchandise. My upset is now I will be loosing all the money I have paid in. I would like a refund of my money paid because it is their breach of contract that is causing me to return my merchandise. I shouldnt have to loose hundreds of dollars because they cant follow the law. I attached screen shots of our local RAC ***************** the bank transactions for *** 15th & *** 30th payments that were not approved by me or my husband *******************. And screen shot of my call log for *** 13,2023 and my husbands call log for the same day.

I have been renting furniture. Right before I was to pay the furniture out the loveseat started having an issue with the leg rest not opening fully. They had there "repair man" out and he claimed that it was due to it needed more stuffing. It's not a stuffing issue because now that I have flipped the couch over and looked at it, the frame of the couch is warped. I have now paid the couch off and have advised them that the couch is in fact broken. I had the *** benefits plus and am supposed to have a year warranty. My issue is since this is paid off they are now dodging calling me to set up an appointment to get the couch inspected/replaced... I still have other stuff and am not looking for anything more than assistance with getting an appointment made with a repair man
