      On Dec 19 2022 I contact Callahan's Appliance, ************************, FTW about an issue I was having with my dishwasher. I informed them that the ******************** lights were flashing and that the Dishwasher would begin filling and then empty. They advised me that he Service Charge and Diagnosis would be $109. I agreed to that thinking that they would check everything out. The repairman came to my house on Dec 20, 2022 and it was clearly obvious that he did not appear to be knowledgeable or qualified to diagnose the problem with my Dishwasher. He did not pull the dishwasher out and look at anything to see if it was a flow valve issue or anything like that. He simply did what I initially did, press the two flashing lights, and pressing some of the buttons. He was on the telephone nearly the entire time talking to someone else that was trying to walk him through the service call by having them research what the flashing lights error code could possibly be. The end result he told me was what I already knew ---- that the two buttons were flashing and it was filling up and emptying out. He did nothing other than push the same buttons on the dishwasher that I had pushed. (I did a search on the internet myself, for the error codes of the two flashing lights and discovered that a common issue is the flow valve being stuck from debris, which would cause the dishwasher to fill and drain, as if it was overfilling and the two lights would flash). He told me was was going to be nearly $500.00 to do the repair to replace a circuit board. He should have checked looked at the flow valve to determine if that was the issue.

      I had zero level of confidence in this repairman as well as this company. I feel they sent someone out that was not qualified and that I was overcharged and then they made an attempt to scam me to have them to do a repair that more than likely was not the issue with the dishwasher.

      I am sorry your not happy with our service. I spoke with our tech and he found the case break, (which is where the flow meter is located would be causing your issue. Some handyman do clean it, In my experience it does not last as well you need to uninstall the dishwasher and reinstall. Your not happy now, could you imagine if he just cleaned it and next week it did the same thing?
      However I agree he should not have charged you extra labor on top of the service charge.
      I will have my office issue a refund for the difference. I also spoke with my tech about charges over the service call. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

      This is on behalf of my sister who is 75 years old and her first language is not English. Purchased stove top from ********* Appliance in April of 2019 and they recommended Callahan's Appliance for future repair. We had red light that wont go off on stove top since early this year. Called Callahan's and they sent a repair man (*************) and he said it would cost $278.14 for repair and need $120 deposit to fix. They took the $120 and while trying to repair, the repair man cracked the glass stove top and was unable to fix the light. The owner **** Callahan said that we have to purchase new stove top and they will install labor free. We told him that he need to make this right by fixing the crack and the light since his repair guy broke the top and took the deposit of $120. Try to reason with **** Callahan but he refuse to answer our call. We went to ********* and they said this stove is no longer made but they have the floor model for $800. They said, Callahan's need to make this right and they would hold the floor model until we resolve the situation.

      Our company did in fact service Mrs. **** glass cooktop. Although all our technicians utilize the utmost caution in every repair, due to the fact that the appliance was adhered to the counter, the fragility of the glass & the condition of the unit itself the unit did crack. The technician immediately called me from the home at which time I spoke to him and the customer, apologized profusely and started the process to remedy the situation for the customer.

      As her brother stated, the unit was no longer being made so we began the search for either an existing one somewhere or a comparable one that would fit her space. It was communicated that this may take some time. Customer was given my personal cell phone number and in addition, office personel were instructed to give it to them again if they called the office while we continued the search. A new unit was found and purchased for the customer and the situation has been resolved.
