      STAY AWAY! Looks like I should have read the reviews as this place is as bad as I experienced. The worst experience Ive ever had when travelling.We had been travelling all night and were excited to finally be in *******. Waited 30 minutes at the airport for the shuttle then arrived at a tiny, run down office far from the airport. I was told to produce my insurance or Id have to pay $18 / day for thiers. That has never happened to me and we are in ******* 3-4 times a year and travel all over the world regularity.I always decline as our insurance covers us when travelling. The guy at the counter was beyond rude. I called my wife who was outside waiting and said the following- this ghetto car rental place is making me produce our insurance, can you send to me? She did and as I hung up the guy says you can leave, Im not renting you anything today. I asked what he was talking about and he said If were so ghetto I should leave. He literally refused ********** a car. With my wife and two kids under 10 with us after waiting an hour for their barely operational shuttle in their stinky barely insurance office. I asked for the manager and the guy mentioned he was the manager. Unreal. Stay far away from this place. The deal is not worth it. This place and that manager are pure trash.We went back to the airport and rented at the days rate which was double.

      They still have not given my my $500 Deposit refund and they are still taking money from my account about to file claim soon and get my card replace and the extra $300 I payed for after my one day rental

      Nu Car cancelled my rental because I was going to be late in picking up by 4 minutes, I called to let them know the flight was late and they offered to reinstate the rental but charge twice the price I was originally quoted. Horrible customer service, I don't want to even give them one star.

      After 3 phone calls and a text and a hour wait finally received a ride to off airport location where they didn't have the car we booked and up charged us for a different car. On top we must pay upcharge to return car looking forward to paying a cab to get back to airport, don't bother contacting the company corporate office they made it clear they don't care...

      I had car rental in ********* for a day. I booked with expedia and everything was prepaid including collision insurance. However my final bill included an additional $38.00+ charge directly from NU Car Rentals. They said it was for glass and tire protection. And it is different from the collision insurance. It could be communication issues but it is not explained well that you will incur additional charges. Representative will still get your credit card information for the $200 deposit. You wait for over 30 minutes and the representative will you sign electronically to make the contract binding.Customers beware. Always read the contract as it is their process/strategy for unnecessary charges.

      Personally, I will NEVER rent from this company again. Pick up was a two shuttle ride away from airport. Location was in a much less than desirable location. One you wouldn't want to go to after hours. One month later after returning the car, I received another charge for $30.75. I had to call to find out what the heck it was for. It evidently was a toll for .75 cents but they tagged on a ***** administrative fee. Not only was I unaware that I had even used a toll lane but this added insult to injury is just not right. Spoke with their customer service and she said there was nobody else I could take this up with as it would just come back to her. I thought I would try them but man oh man, will NEVER EVER again. Do your homework before you rent!

      Sales person did not explain prepaid charge. I paid for the full tank but only used a small fraction of it. Company refused to refund the difference.

      Rented a Dodge Ram pickup through Priceline that was paid in full prior to picking up. They required a deposit that they said would be refunded. I returned the vehicle a week early and was told a refunded and deposit would be returned received nothing

      I booked through Kayak for a pickup near *** for a 13 Days Rental with ******** (Nu Car Rentals). I had to prepay the entire amount. When making the booking, it did say that there may be additional charges for insurance but it never provided how much or what the range it could be. There was no mention of the insurance amount in the subsequent 2 email confirmations received either. When i was at the suppliers facility (Nu Car) to pick up the car, i was told since i had an international drivers license, it would cost an additional USD 42 per day for the insurance. The rental of the car was only USD 26 per day. The insurance was almost twice the cost of the rental which i should have been informed ahead of time. Had i known, i would have never made this booking. I tried calling customer service to see whether we could make it a shorter rental but was told that wasnt possible. Subsequently i tried to transfer the booking to a family member who is a resident whos not required to pay for insurance and they refused to do that either. Both customer service and the agent at Nu Car rental did not want to assist at all. This a classic example of fraudulent business practices because it allows them to set any price they want upon pickup of the vehicle and according to their policies we have no choice but to pay for it. For example they could have quoted an additional USD 100 per day for the insurance at pick up and i would have no choice but to pay for it which is neither fair nor ethical. I didn't end picking up the car and am requesting for a full refund.

      Very disappointed with the customer service. We called their number to add an additional day to our reservation. The employee on the phone said since we booked through a third party (Priceline), she would not be able to change the reservation. We told her that ********* said we needed to talk to N Car since its their vehicle and asked to speak with a manager since weve been getting told contradictory things. She proceeded to say thats what you get for booking with a company like Priceline and hung up the phone on us. I will Never book with this company again. I would Give No stars if it were an option.
