      Wish I had looked at the reviews before I booked Nu Car Rentals SLC on Priceline. I pre-paid for my car with Priceline. Customer rep woman said there's a required deposit I'd get back when I questioned the extra amount. She kept talking to me and "just sign the boxes and you'll be ready to go". I had pre-paid so I should have been fine. Dropped my car off at 6am and then proceeded to get my final statement at 8am (when they opened) saying I was charged an extra amount of $324.01. She had added on "loss damage waiver, roadside service plan and prepaid fuel". If I had wanted those I would have added them on Priceline when I prepaid. From many other reviews looks like this is the way they do business! Liars and cheats!

      Just another person recommending that you never do business with NU car rentals. I reserved a rental car via Priceline.com to be picked up at the *************************, ********** at 8:30 PM. An ** website states that they were located inside SIXT car rentals...not anymore! Nobody answers the ** "customer service" phone number. After being shuttled to a place where I had to still take another shuttle to reach **, we were told that the rental office had closed at 6pm. Their website states that they are open until 9pm. Left stranded at the airport. Our final destination was ***** so a family member had to drive to ************** to pick ** up. Do yourself a favor.... DO NOT rent from these people. Rated one star because there is no 0 star option

      Had to call for a pick up from the airport. Very long wait at the pick up location which I didnt know was NOT at the ***********. Only one person at the counter. Will never use this company again.

      I am so pissed!!They charged me twice during my visit to ********* in the summer. I disputed the duplicated charge. The credit car company asked them for the second receipt which they cannot provide. The case is still open and I still have not gotten my money back because I need to wait 60 days for the case to close. This is fine because I know for sure they won't be able to provide a second receipt so I just need to wait.However, they charged me again today !!! THIRD time!! I only had one rental with them and they charged me three times!!! They even sent me another receipt to my email. While I stay at home and work this whole time.What kind of company does that? duplicated charge is understandable and common, a third charge after I disputed? seriously?Third charge is a scam okay? you guys are scam!

      Rented from them in ******* *******. The first car we were issued was extremely filthy inside and infested with bugs. We demanded another car. The second car stalled in the middle of a rain storm in the middle of a busy road and would not start back up. I kept calling them to ask for assistance and they kept putting me on hold and not returning back to my call. I had to keep calling back and they recognized my number so they quit answering all together. I was stranded without a car at that point two hours away with children. I paid for an Uber back and they would not refund me. I also paid for 7 days with their rental but because of their faulty car I only got 5 days. They never reimbursed me and instead told me I had to file a claim with my insurance for their car not starting and having to be towed even though they would not answer their phone and dodged my calls leaving me stranded. This company is a scam. Please I beg everyone looking for rental cars to not use this company. It will be a huge regret with a lot of hidden fees and no help. Please pay more for the bigger more known companies. Nu is AWFUL. This place needs to be shut down. I amazed they havent been already. They do not care about their customers or their safety. Their cars are junk.

      I had the most unbelievable and unfortunate experience at Nu Car rentals in *********, **. They were cheaper than other companies so I gave them a try. Everything was great up to the moment I arrived at the location. When I landed, I received a text message with instructions and was told the shuttle was waiting for me which was great. When I arrived I was asked to provide a proof of insurance, which I did not have. I explained I've never been asked to provide this. The agent informed me that there would be a $50 dollar charge. With hesitation I agreed to pay, but then I said that I would be contesting this charge, at which point the sales agent said that she would have to talk to her manager about this. She then proceeded to tell me that they would not rent me the car because I was going to contest the charge, and said why would they rent me the car if I was going to dispute it. In disbelief I said, to please just give me the car and that I would not make a stink about it. She said it was too late as I had already said it I could not take it back. She also said she did not know me and how would she know that I would not dispute it. Thus she canceled my reservation! After leaving, and realizing I'd have to take another 10-minute shuttle back to the airport, I returned and said I really needed the car to get to my elderly and infirm aunt. She said she could not rent it to me on credit card and that if I wanted the car, I'd have to pay either cash or use Zelle so I could not dispute it. I was clearly distraught by a personal family matter and called my husband and asked him to speak with her. She refused to speak with him even though I put him on speaker!!! I was shocked. She finally gave me the car and I left, but I will NEVER rent from them again, even if my life depends on it! When I returned the car the following day, the same sales agent drove me in the shuttle to the airport and did not say a word to me.

      I went to pick up my Rental car only to find out I needed to pay an additional $24 a day on a 14 day rental around $336 more, because I needed $1,000,000 personal damage on my insurance to rent the car. I cant afford that extra expense. The counter person told me to contact Priceline to get my money back. It is NU car rental that has the no-refund policy. They didnt give me my money back. They just scammed me out of $282. They did nothing for that money. I will tell others not to use their services. I know they can care less.

      EPIC Bait and Switch This "business" stole money from me, and now that I've read other people's experiences it's clear that I am not alone. How did a two day car rental at $37.00 add up to $418.75? I'm shocked. I'm stumped. How are they allowed to remain in business? I will NEVER. EVER. rent from them again. I don't know that I have the time to explain all of the ways that I was deceived. Here's the short version: I was told that I had to buy their insurance because I planned to take the car out of state. That can't be true. I have the best car insurance that covers me to drive anything in the US. I was charged for an extra day because I showed up early when I picked up the car, which put me around an hour more than two days. And then the charge on my credit card ended up being substantially more than the price on the agreement that I wish I had never signed. Please do yourself a favor and book your car from any other rental car company.

      DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY I paid for my car in full 6 weeks before we picked it up. I called two days before just to make sure we had a vehicle. They assured me that everything was in place and we would have a car waiting for us when we arrived. When we got to the airport we had to wait over an hour for the shuttle to pick us up and take us to the off-site facility. Once we got there we had to wait 2 hours only to be told that they didnt have a vehicle for us. They first told us that we had to come back the next day. When we refused to do that, they told us that the manager would deliver the car to us by 10 the next morning. The car was delivered to us the next day but not until 5pm. Since we prepaid for the car, they told us that they would refund the original payment and charge us for the new balance. The original payment was never refunded and they charged us for an additional $352. One of the charges was for prepaid tolls that I refused at the time because the tolls were free. You cannot dispute any of this because no one answers their phone.

      Well, the salesperson at the counter had me sign a contract. As I was reading through it the sales person was talking to me and asking me questions. I realized I signed for additional services. I let her know I couldn't concentrate on the contract and accidentally signed for extras I don't want. She refused to cancel the contract and stated "no extra charges will be billed to my card outside of the $300 deposit." They then didn't give me a receipt or the contract I asked them to cancel. I later get a bill for an additional $139. I call their customer service number and they told me they can't help me. I have to drive back into the office I rented from and speak to a manager. This is on top of them telling me I could pick up my car when I flew into ********* (at 10pm). They close at 6pm so I stood out waiting for a shuttle that never came. I also didn't have a car for me until the next day. They are snakes ...Don't use them. Listen to all the reviews!
