      I wish there was 0 stars. Worst experience of my life I canceled my reservation on December 3. The refund was never issued. I called them about five times in each one of them said that it takes 7 to 14 business days. On December 30 I called and they said the refund was never issued. after asking the customer service, why She hung up on me. I got a hold of somebody else who also said the refund was never issued and she was going to issue it after asking her why it took them almost a month she hung up on me. Also I contacted a third ****** which was a guy named *** * believe who was the worst ****** Ive ever had to deal with in my life and customer service.. He actually yelled at me saying that its my problem and that I need to send an email for me to get a refund. He would not listen to me would not let me get a word.. I asked to speak to a supervisor, which he refused. *** never had anybody in customer service actually physically yell at **. I tried to ask him questions, but he said I do not want to talk to you and hung up on me. This has been the worst experience in my life. Do not use this company.

      AVOID AT ALL COST The worst.I made my reservation through ******* for 3 days on the second weekend in Dec. 2024 Their rates were extremely low in comparison to the other companies in the area. The total I was charged upfront was $99. Which seems reasonable as I had previously rented a car just a few weeks back from another company close to this facility and my total came to $154 for a full ******* I arrived at the facility from ***, I proceeded to the first window on the left, helped by *******. He was speaking low and it was hard to hear him over the music in the background. I had to ask him several times to repeat what he was asking and noticed his voice tone was still at the same level. At this point I felt a little strange. It felt like ******* was trying to trick me into paying for things I didn't want or need. Which he did. I put my initial and signed to options I thought I had waived, instead, there were charges. I was charged for road side assistance and insurance coverage, which I didn't want because my Credit Card provider provides these to me. NU Car Rentals also added a security deposit for $300 even though I presented an out of state Drivers License.Once I got back home from my work try, I received the invoices via email showing an additional charge of $334 for the options mentioned above. I contacted them immediately and I tried to ask for a reimbursement as I did not agree on getting these options, but they provided a copy of the receipt with my initials outlining the cost of these options, in which I thought I had initial to waive them. I felt hopeless and blindsided at this point. Important: Be careful, they'll try to add unexpected fees to your bill. Read the fine print closely so you're not surprised later and ask for clarification on everything. Don't initial or sign anything until you're sure they didn't add anything you didn't ask for. Also, ask for copies of everything you signed and review them before leaving the facility.

      Absolutely awful company. Charged me an extra $200 to vacuum out the car. They are as shady as they come. Do not rent from this company no matter how cheap the car is. It's not worth it. You'll end up paying more in the end

      If I could give a negative star review, I would. This car rental company is a scam. I wish I read reviews before renting with them. They charge for insurance even though I have full coverage and for tolls every day even though I had my own pass. Run dont walk to a reputable company!

      Absolutely awful. The agent lied to me about tolls on my route of travel and said it would cost me hundreds of dollars if I didn't buy an ipass. Upon receiving my bill they charged me an additional $23 on top of the $84. When I called about it I was told she would "notate it" but could not refund any of the charges. I called their corporate who told me to call the ****** location. I will never do business with them again.

      They have bad cars, and their prices are higher than those of well-known companies. They don't accept your credit card insurance (after you have already paid thru hotwire) and force you to pay $15 per day for tolls. If you refuse to pay, they will charge you even more, claiming that you passed through tolls.

      DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY. This company is built on a scam. Get a $5-7 per day rental. Too good to be true? Yes - it is. The ads say only reveal hidden fine print that these "deals" are for electric cars only. This information does not show up on the email confirmation, so it is only when you arrive at the offsite pickup office -- in a very sketchy location miles away from the airport --that you are asked, "have you reserved an electric charging station?" Of course I have not and of course there are almost none available in the area. Then they go on to tell you that it takes 4-6 hours to charge the vehicle any many are broken down so you may not be able to find one if you need one. THEN they tell you that because this exact scenario happens so often that the only other cars available are for a $40-50 per day "upgrade." I requested a refund of the "upgrade" amount and they denied it, essentially saying that because they successfully scammed me and I signed the rental agreement (having no choice in the matter), that they will not give any refund or discount.

      ATTENTION: Nu Car Rentals, Phoenix, ** #1 The **** DAMAGE WAIVER (***) charged me an additional $279. It is NOT included in the RENTER PAYMENTS total in the summary of the receipt. Of note, when initialling the form, this is the only item in the list you are NOT declining. It is separate from PERSONAL ACCIDENT COVERAGE AND EFFECTS INSURANCE (which I intentionally decline because I have car insurance). #2 ************ is NOT located at the airport and requires a shuttle ride offsite. The shuttle pickup location is difficult to find (at night, my first time at the airport, even with the map they provide). It took 2 hours from the time the plane landed to when I drove away with the rental car. Update: the *** charge was refunded after calling the company to express my concern about their duplicitous practices.

      I had a terrible experience with Nu Car Rental. They rented me a car with bad brakes, which is completely unacceptable and a major safety hazard. On top of that, another customer mentioned that the same car had issues and that they experienced a bumpy and unpleasant ride. Its clear that this company doesnt properly maintain their vehicles or prioritize customer safety. Do yourself a favor and rent from somewhere else!

      Im fairly well traveled and have used most rental car companies. I will never use Nu Rental again - nor would I recommend them. STAY AWAY - even if its free!
