      0 stars!! ************. Do not use. They lure with low prices then take you to a remote location, away from the airport, and charge you hundreds of dollars more. Avoid at all costs. A $77 total charges estimate turned into $443.

      I rented a car and drove it one hour from the facility. The next day my tire was flat. I declined their coverage so the company told me I was responsible for changing/replacing the tire and would not come get me or replace the car. Here I am stranded because of an issue that is considered normal wear and tear. Any other rental company would have done that, AT A MINIMUM. The operator told me that if I bring it back on the donut that I will be charged for replacing two tires. This company has provided a car that compromised my safety and they are unwilling to rectify the situation.

      Rented via *********** with attractive pricing. When we got to the counter to finalize rental contract. They added so many taxes and precentages for so many acronym type descriptions. Also they charged for spouse to be added as a driver. They added insurance that we did not need, and was fast talked into initialing to activate it.When called to inquire about the extra charges, the person on the phone was immediately defensive and spoke very offensive. He or she (not sure of gender), implied that it was my ignorance and lack of education that lead to the additional ****** dollars. That is $****** + what I already paid online of $306.02. I ended up paying more than double of what I reserved online. Overall, they collected from me more than the well known auto renters with slightly higher prices online.They conduct the most unethical business practice I have ever encountered.They are manipulative and rude, like bullies at the rental counters. Renter beware, avoid using NU car rental. You will regret it when all of the charges are reconciled.

      Under no circumstances would I ever consider renting from (or recommending) Nu Car Rentals a second time. I rented a car through them, booked through Travelocity, for 5 days in October 2024. The initial pre-paid total through *********** was $434.72. After arriving at the airport, I quickly discovered that they were not located with all of the other rental companies, but rather I needed to take an off-site shuttle to their facility. Getting to the counter, everything was processed, they noted that it was pre-paid, and then had me initial "to verify the different areas of what was our rental agreement". The trip concluded, the car was returned, and I got the final invoice for $781.56 (minus the $434.72 pre-paid) which meant another $346.84 out of pocket. Given other issues that were pressing, I was finally able to call 2 weeks later and was informed that these fees are all counter-charges that were signed for (the very ones I was told I was verifying from the original rental agreement) and that there was nothing that could be done except that they "will be sure to bring it up with the location manager". There are countless reviews discussing their hidden fees, in my case it nearly doubled the price. All I can do now is spread the word in any way that I can and hope that others will steer clear for their own benefit. Spend the additional few dollars per day on a reputable rental company, you'll save substantially in the end. ****** learned.

      This place is a complete scam I will get right to the point Theres no Real person in the building its all by a computer screen which is what it is but they wouldnt give us a car without a declaration page from our insurance company which I dont carry around so we had to **** from the car rental to our destination

      Added charges after verbally declining them. Quickly signed contract as had been traveling all day with two kids under 4. Evil and predatory.

      Bate and switched. My $120 quote jumped to $480 at the counter. I ended up taking the shuttle back to the airport and finding another rental place that was $200 less. Save the hassle and don't use this immoral company.

      Never again!!! That inexpensive online car rental tripled in price once I actually got to the counter. This company is a rip off and very frustrating to deal with. ******* and the other online services should dump them Save yourself a headache and stay away. If it looks like an amazing deal theres a reason why. 0 stars is what I would pick.

      We will be processing your credit card on file for the toll violation(s) of $11.05 with admin fees of $90.00 ($30.00 per violation, as a courtesy we maxed out at $90.00), total amount being charged $101.05 The desk agent asked if I wanted the toll package but did not inform me of a $30 per toll violation fee. I was trying to keep the line moving so I did not read the entire contact. My bad.. I did not intend to use a toll road or an express lane, which apparently I did drive in E470 in ******. Did not see any signage for it being a toll road or the tolls I went through. I called customer service to work out a deal to pay the actual tolls and a $30 violation but even talking with a supervisor was just hard nosed "No *** sorry we cant's do that". They also got me for the extra insurance ($130) in case the car was wrecked or charge me $22 daily until it was fixed. I saw a dozen wrecked cars just sitting in the back lot. Will never use this company again.
