This service alone is lack luster and the overall business is a sham. I was never able to log into my account and when I contaced customer service I was informed that they will reach out to corporate to get in contact with me. Here is is 2 weeks later and no response and they are still charging me for this less than stellar service. I took my dog for diarrhea and there was no relief even after the meds. I then went to a pet store about dog food and the young lady then mentioned it was probably due to the chicken. Wouldn't you know it,,,, she was right! My dog had no more diarrhea and I didn't have to pay $600 to her like I did the vet who prescribed him another chicken based product that sent him into a tizzy. Save your money. This place is a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!Thrive Pet Healthcare

I took my Pekinese, *****, to Northstar Vet in ************, where I had to make the agonizing choice between surgery to try to save ****** eye and surgery to remove it. ******************** told me removal was the better choice. Immediately after I agreed to have the eye removed, I was required to sign an estimate before they would proceed. The amount of the estimate was over $4000. The next day I realized I had been grossly overcharged. Channel 6 action News Troubleshooters agreed and aired the story, noting I was charged over $2000 above the average fee charged by any any other vet. The hospitals response was that if I had l questioned the amount of the fee while I was still crying on the exam room floor and rocking ***** in my arms, THEY WOULD HAVE SUGGESTED I GO TO MY REGULAR VET OR WOULD HAVE LOWERED THE COST OF THE PROCEDURE!! I would never return to this facility and I wanted to let you know to be on guard for their unconscionable and morally repugnant billing practices.Thrive Pet Healthcare

This client has not been to our facility since August 2022. She already filed a complaint and we responded. Her details of what occurred are not true. Our doctor saved her pet, money never came up until days after she left. She is not welcome back to our hospital, which she has been told numerous times, even though she tries to.Review fromCharlene R

I am so heartbroken that I chose Northstar vet Robbinsville to bring my loving pup. The employees there have no compassion except for the receptionist. We knew our girl had to be put down. Weve been through it before with our one pup. But we brought him to Foxmoore animal hospital which is where I wanted to bring Juicy but they were closed. They were so full of compassion and showed such love for our pets. This girl tech from Northstar aggressively took Juicy from my daughters arms and juicy cried out in pain. My daughters stood in the hall listening to those cries and then listened to her whimpers until she whimpered no more. Thats when the vet came in and said we have to do this fast, her heart rate is low and minutes later walked in with our pup and said sorry she passed on her own. We were devastated she passed without us and had to die in the presence of these cold uncaring people. This job is for compassionate people and if you do not have the heart for it then get another job. This place needs to hire people with compassion and experience especially in that area. Our pups are part of our family. If your employees cant show them the respect and compassion they deserve then I hold the owners of this place responsible for not hiring responsible professionals.Thrive Pet Healthcare

I am so very sorry for your loss. We all here at NorthStar do know how difficult it is to lose a pet. Our staff would not be here unless they did care, that is why they have chosen this career. I am sorry if the empathy and compassion was not evident, I do know they all truly care. We wish you and your family the best.Sincerely,***********************Christine M.

Saturday they obviously did not care. RIGHT BEFORE they brought my pup to me and said she passed on her own they came in to take my **** card and had me pay for her to be euthanized. Is that compassion? As we were so distraught that we were about to loose a part of our family your staff comes in and asks us to pay ahead of time? Never have I paid for services before the services were rendered. Especially something so heart wrenching as this. I feel my pup had already passed from your techs roughness with her and her heart just could not take it and they wanted to make sure they were paid. I was not going to bring that part of it up because that was not my concern at the time. So since my pup passed on her own then your services that I paid for were not rendered. As I was searching out your business complaints I want you to know an organization started a petition about North Stars animal cruelty. If your staff had showed us compassion Inwould have accepted what happened to our pup.Review fromJohn S

1 starCorporate ownership leads to employees who don't care, aren't held accountable, and doctors who are merely well-paid employees. Spent $5300 on a surgery here for a vet-tech... not a doctor... not an owner... not a general manager... for a vet tech to tell us "don't come back, we don't want your business. Go local (ownership). Literally, go anywhere else.Review fromKrissi R.

We came to the clinic with our dog who had a possible acute spinal injury. We were met with apathy, no sense of engagement or urgency when we checked in at the counter. As soon as we arrived we informed the totally-checked-out receptionist that our dog had vet anxiety and would probably need a sedative / muzzle to be seen. That vital info was never communicated to the doctor or the tech. We waited an hour in a hot, silent room with no communication from anyone. The tech finally meandered in to tell us it looked like a spinal injury and would probably be $8k-$10k but the neuro team was leaving for the day there was so no way to tell if he needed surgery. She said she would get us cushions since he was lying in pain on a tile floor. She never did. Finally after two hours they took him away to see the doctor only to rerurn him and say the doctor probably wouldnt see him because she didnt feel safe unless we muzzled him. She left again and we had no idea if after two hours the vet would even see him. The entire staff was unprofessional, seemingly uncaring and failed to communicate with each other or us at every opportunity. Absolutely horrific emergency veterinary care and the worst veterinary staff Ive ever encountered. This is clearly a top-down issue. Ive looked for the managers contact to no avail. Looks like this is a massive, soulless, poorly run corporation not at all a caring, professional vet team you would hope for when it matters most.Krissi R.

1 starMy vet of 25+ years recently retired, so we needed a new veterinarian. Thrive ******** in a suburb of *******, was right across the street, so we decided to give them a try. I was escorted to an exam room for my dogs annual exam and vaccines, but they did not perform any exam, bloodwork, stool sample right there in the exam room. They removed him from the room and took him in back to do all of the testing. At my previous vet, the techs and vet did everything right there in the exam room with us present. I wondered what they were hiding? I also inquired about getting his teeth cleaned and they quoted me almost 4 times what my previous veterinarian charged for the same service. In addition, they couldn't perform the service at this location. I would have to go to another location in *******. When I was there, I asked about getting his heartworm refilled when it was time. I order a three-in-one heartworm/flea/tick medication from an online company, because it's cheaper. They said that was not a problem, but denied the request and wanted me to come in for a heartworm test. They let my dogs heartworm coverage lapse, so now I will have to find a new veterinarian and probably have a heartworm test done before they will prescribe anything. I will never return to Thrive due to their incompetence! I would give them 0 stars if I could! It should also be a red flag that their own website does not allow you to leave a review.Review fromHelen L

1 starI would not give this business any stars but had to toleave this review. This is a three ************** hospital that was sold to Thrive Pet Healthcare in ******, **. They have completed destroyed what used to be the ******** hospital in the area. They are so understaffed that no one answers the phone, the wait time is about three hours for long established patients, and the poor people who work there are quitting in droves because the environment is SO unpleasant for clients, doctors and staff alike.Review fromCarol G

1 starOur Dog was treated by North Star I. Maple shade they diagnosed him with some type of tick disease. They said it wasn't Lyme's. They gave us antibiotics and pain medicine for him and they said within twenty four to forty eight hours he would be back to normal we told them he has not been eating or drinking and he can't seem to walk on his right front paw and his back right leg. He is only 10 months old. Well that was on a Thursday. He did make any improvements form the medicine. So I called North Star in Maple shade and told them. Thei was Saturday Oct. 8. They advised me to take him to there other facilitiy in *********** **. We took him there and the nurse came out to get his vitals. Then she said it will be a little wait. We got there at 3:40pm. I saw other patients coming in and being taken back before us. I asked how much longer they said well you arrived here at 3:40 it's now six and bc you arrived late you have six people ahead of you I asked why were other being brought back they didn't look like they were in need of immediate medical attention. She say they had appointments. Well if you are an emergency facility why do you take appointments over emergency.??? Her answer was well that is the way it is. We finally get taken back and waited another twenty min till the doc came in. North Star in Maple shade said they would call them and send his records. Well the doc said not all his records came through. So again I explained what is going on with my German Shepherd. He has not had anything to eat for a week we gave him eggs and I told her I was having a hard time getting him to take his medicine. He refuses treats and won't take the pain medicine. So she give him a shot of methodoine so they can ex ray him. We sit and wait another half hour just to have him exrayed. She said the exray shows some type of bone issues that ********* get. To keep him was very costly. She said it could be this or that. So we left after waiting for seven hours the worst place ever
