Well when I found LGI I thought wow finally a company that works with families who are in need of a home. Not saying it’s a racial thing but every time my family and I are speaking to one of the customer service representatives we always have a the black representative. Which is not a problem I just think it’s weird. Secondly we were told last that I need to get my credit up to 580 I was 16 points away . So they gave me a credit card company that updates frequently called premier credit card. And so when I finally get my credit above the needed minimum they say my debt to income ratio isn’t good enough. I was like blowed away because my credit limit was only 250$ and I didn’t have debt only from a Victoria secret account that I eagerly had when I was 16 . And even then my balance wasn’t drastic. I feel as if they just want to run your credit and create multiple inquiries .

Hi Sharda, we take pride in helping first time buyers make the dream of homeownership come true and are concerned about the way your experience has left you feeling. Our New Home Consultants work on a rotation that determines who responds to the next inquiry we receive, so it is random as to who you work with. After that initial contact, that same New Home Consultant typically works with you throughout the rest of your buying process.
We run credit to best guide the conversation around buying a home and, as in your case, provide insight on steps that need to be taken to qualify. In these situations where we are working with you to help you qualify, we may have to repeatedly run the report over time to see the most up-to-date information. Things can change between these reports being pulled and may result in additional steps needing to be taken. In these situations, we will provide additional suggestions as to what to do next. At the end of the day, we are pulling your credit report to best help you achieve your end goal of homeownership.

      LGI is one of the worst new built homes I have ever moved into. **** **** * ***** ****** ******* ***** *** *** *** ****** ********* *** *** * *** **** *** ****** ***** ** ** **** *** ** ***** * ***** * ****** ** *** ***** ********** *** ******* ** ** ***** **** *** ***** ******** *** *******. The house makes noises like it is 100-year-old house. Nails are protruding almost everywhere in the house after 2 years. A lot of cracks in the walls. *** ****** *** *** *** **** *** *** ******* ** **** **** *** ***** **** ***. I had to build a deck and the contractor showed me the defaults in the siding ****** ** **** **** *** ***** **** ****. When you call them, no one ever returns your call. Left Kevin, the contractor Supervisor several messages, never got any calls back. I was trying to add flooring in my house, and they have left not any pieces at all to take for matching. Of course, I called and left message at their head office and Kevin and never heard back.?
The level of ventilation was marginal, which barely met the minimum standards, and was a major overlooked item. The painting inside the house was (and still is) very uneven and spotty. We requested repainting the interior of the home before we moved in and they assured us that it was done but it was never done. I think a kid can do better. The carpeting was not installed properly and had major installation problem throughout the house with areas of carpet not stretched completely and unraveling with numerous nails protruding in several areas. They did not inform any homeowners that they created a very poor drainage system for all our homes. Be careful of Ryan ****** (a real snake in the grass). He lies to get the homes sold. Now we all have flooding issues in our crawl space. They built in a flood zone area, and we are all notified 2 years ago to get flood insurance. I could go on, but I think this is enough and I will be filing a formal complaint with BBB and Attorney General’s Office.

Hi Mr. ***, we're disappointed to hear about your experience. We strive to provide exceptional customer service and are surprised that you did not hear back from our team. The best way to get warranty issues taken care of is by submitting them to our warranty portal, as this allows our team to track the requests and ensure they are resolved. This information is provided during your New Homeowner Orientation. Unfortunately you are now outside of the one-year workmanship warranty, but you are still covered by the 10-year structural warranty. If you have any items you believe are structural in nature, you can submit them through 2-10 using the instructions in booklet you received.

This company has refused to honor the warranty that was sold with our house and refused to take our calls and emails. Our next step will have to be contacting our lawyer and the state attorney general. Don’t buy from this company.

I wanted to purchased a home in the Lasater Ranch community in Crowley, Texas. The LGI website stated last homes available. My realtor contacted the sales representative Jermaine (Jay) ********. To arrange a time to meet and explained the floor plan I was interested in. He reported the home was still available (I have emails and text). I drove 6 hours to view this home and the home was not available. It had sold and Jay know it but failed to be honest.

Hi Teneisha, we are sorry to hear about your experience! It is possible that the home was available, but sold before you were able to visit our office. We will investigate further to determine what happened and provide additional training if needed. We appreciate you sharing your experience with us so we can continue to improve.

Terrible customer service after you are in your home. We have been in our home just over a year and are still waiting for many things to be fixed. The customer service reps will tell us no issue on repairs or replacements but as soon as the trades show up they tell the customer service reps they are not going to repair and leave. We had an outside home inspection done when we moved in and there were huge issues that LGI just did not take care of. We had another outside inspection done at the 1 year mark and somehow the house was in even worse shape. In 1 year we have 4 different local customer service reps because they cannot keep anyone who will deal with these issues. My next step will be contacting the Arizona Registrar of Contractors and letting them handle it.

This is the worst company I've ever dealt with. We were rushed to move in to a house that was just built, and there are tons of issues. We're the only people living on our street and nobody here at LGI cares that the house isn't complete. The garage door rails weren't grounded, so somehow we got someone to ground them, but they knocked out our electricity in our living room and kitchen. They don't care now. They're so nice until you close on the house, then you don't exist

Hi Sue, we're sorry to hear you've experienced some trouble with your home. While our homes undergo several inspections throughout construction, we know that issues can come up, which is why we offer a one-year workmanship and 10-year structural warranty! If you haven't already, please submit your claim through our convenient warranty portal: https://lgihomes.corrigo.com/. We've asked the local team to follow up with you regarding any outstanding claims.

We live in an LGI home. We love the home and neighborhood. We bought the home resale from the original buyers who bought from the builders. LGI does not honor the builder warranty if you buy resale. The home was never lived in when we bought it. The original buyers sold it a couple months after buying.
The maintenance issue we are having is not significant by any means. The response from LGI homes is an unusual business practice to me.
Rear patio door from kitchen area interior of home into outside patio area:
The bottom two hinge brackets that secure the door to the frame do not have screws and have appeared to be glued/caulked to temporarily keep them in place. The adhesive has failed and the door is now only being held in place by the top two door hinge bracket. This is causing the door to sag and not operate properly; putting additional stress on the top brackets. This is causing a safety and security concern for us. This was missed on the inspections and walk throughs as the glue/caulk kept the door in seemingly working order for a temporary amount of time.

LGI has informed us the warranty is non transferrable to us. I have asked for the terms and conditions of the warranty so I can review it and pursue another avenue to correct the door.

I am puzzled by the amount of "doors" slammed in my face by LGI and the splitting of hairs of their policy rather than them just having pride in their craftsmanship and remedying the issue. Their energy has been put into arguing, rather than educating me and providing me with the information.

Up until this point we are still awaiting a copy of the terms of conditions of their warranty. Or for them to throw some screws in a door.

Mr. Gigante, one of the many benefits of buying new construction is the many warranties that come with the home. Unfortunately, when you decided to purchase resale you gave up that benefit and ran the risk of having to fix items yourself. We are glad to hear that you have not had any significant issues with your home and that you are loving the neighborhood.
