The worst, don't trust them! Had a broker that was ok but then found out after the fact that my broker changed but I was never notified. Needed to contact the new broker and took him about a week to return my calls and emails. Come to find out that my insurance policy was cancelled due to their error and of course nothing, still hasn't returned my calls. What a complete incompentent company!Goosehead Insurance Agency, LLC

How does a company with a 1.68 review rating and so many complaints have an A+ rating? This company is run by incompetent individuals who completely screwed up my insurance and cost me THOUSANDS. I switched over my vehicle, rental property, and renter's insurance to have everything under one umbrella. My insurance needs are unusual because I own a home that I rent out and rent a home where I work. The rates weren't significantly lower, but were higher either and everything was with one company...I got an email from my mortgage company that they had received notice that the policy on my home was going to be canceled. I called Goosehead to learn why. They assured me that my mortgage company must be mistaken because they could not see any issues with my policy. They company they had me insured with wouldn't allow me direct access to my policy which should have been the first red flag. Not being able to review the site myself, I had to take the word of the Goosehead representative. Two months later, my mortgage company notified me that it had place a "lender-placed" policy on my property. When I called Goosehead back, they confirmed that a letter had been sent to me at the address of the home instead of my resident's address. Turns out, to get a comparable rate, they had listed my MAILING address as the address where the home I owned was rather than where I was currently living! Not only is this FRAUD, but resulted in me not getting a notice that the mortgage insurance wanted a dead tree (it wasn't dead but was viewed during the winter) removed. I never knew because I never got the letter, and when I reached out to Goosehead, they had dismissed my concerns. Goosehead never apologized. My mortgage payment went up because of the more expensive insurance that did not cover my interests placed by my mortgage lender, and I couldn't fix the issue because the escrow was empty and used to pay for the more expensive insurance. It took 2 years for me to get it fixed.Goosehead Insurance Agency, LLC

Worst experience ever with my Homeowners insurance with Goosehead!Don't ever use them! I took over my father's house in 2022 after he passed. He built the house in 2021.His insurance was Goosehead Insurance, so I just stayed with them. HUGE mistake! I was comparing insurance rates with my neighbors and found I was paying double. I called another agency and got a quote. It was half as much for the same coverage, and it was underwritten by the same company ******************. Not only are their rates double, but my fabulous agent also based my rate on 1700 square feet when the home is actually 1160. Therefore, I have been paying double for Home insurance since 2022. I spoke with **** ****** and offered me $49.65 to make up for being overcharged from *********. Such an insult! I paid $1,250.81 with Goosehead in 2024 and will be paying $697.32 with my new agent for the year for the same coverage. We are talking a difference of $553.49 overpayment a year from 2022! and both policies are written by American Integrity. What a total rip off and incompetence they have shown by overcharging me and not even getting the square footage correct! I would never ever refer them to anyone as my neighborhood is still being built and people always looking therefore many residents are looking for referrals for Home insurance. *** ******* was my agent with Goosehead Insurance. He has done nothing but cost me time, money, tears, and headaches. I was up for renewal. I never got anything in the mail, email and certainly never a phone call as my current insurance was doing an optional depopulation. I get all the other junk emails from him that have nothing to do with me but somehow some way I don't get THE MOST IMPORTANT email. I spent days going through my junk emails to confirm this. Never got a call and now after speaking to a dozen different insurance companies been advised they all do follow up calls in this kind of situation. Yet Mr. ******* did NOTHING!!! He has now costed me over ****** a year in insurance premiums and that's only after a week of me calling over a dozen different companies for quotes. Mr. ******* also advised I couldn't go back to my preferred insurance company. That's incorrect. As well that my 54k in solar panels didn't need insured. I had to leave MULTIPLE messages originally about that to even get a call back. I was promised 3x different times over the last month a call. NEVER ONCE DID I GET ONE unless I called back. I was told depopulation was too difficult to explain to me. Amazingly enough it took another agent at another company about 2 seconds to FULLY explain it to me. I TRUELY feel Mr. ******* made no attempt to help me or even care to help me. Even after insulting my intelligence and me DEMANDING never to speak to him and asking for a new agent he proceeded to call me. A month now I've wasted. He has no intension of helping you, no compassion, and truly doesn't seem to have one shed of humanity when it came to trying to do what was best for his client. Just someone else trying to line his pockets a little more at the cost of someone else. *** to you as say this. I'll pray for your moral compass as it certainly isn't pointing in the right direction to help anyone but yourself.Goosehead Insurance Agency, LLC

1 starI can honestly say that dealing with Goosehead has been one of the worst and most frustrating experiences I can remember. Ive tried for weeks to get an agent to provide information to Texas Windstorm Agency in order to continue my windstorm insurance without success. Ive been told by customer service that my agents lack of response is completely unacceptable and that my case will be given urgent priority status and then I never hear back from them. Meanwhile, my windstorm coverage expires in 3 days. *** filed a complaint with the **************** of Insurance but Im sure I wont get resolution before my policy expires. 1 starMy agent lied to me. She said the only company that would insure me was ****** and my premiums for home and vehicle insurance were almost six thousand dollars a year. I would have lost my home from being unable to pay the increased premium if I had not done research a couple months in. I emailed the agent- asked her 3 times if there was an early cancel fee. She wouldn't answer my question, so I spent a lengthy amount of time looking through the policy language. Then I told her I wanted to switch to Progressive. She told me it would be bad to switch policies in the middle of the term because it would hurt my "insurance score". I told her I know about insurance and insurance scores are taken from credit scores primarily and I wasn't worried, wanted to switch anyway. Advised her *********** was offering me a policy almost $2K less yearly. She finally did something- stated she re-ran me through and ****** was my only option. I found that interesting since Progressive sold me a policy directly and Goosehead SELLS Progressive Insurance. She was trying to keep as much $$ of mine as possible. AND she charged me a $200 agency fee. I've never had an agency charge me. The agency gets paid from the insurance companies. Also- Never available when you call.
