FTC vs Day Pacer, LLC aka Edutrek, LLC
The following describes a final government action that has been formally ordered by a federal district court as of 1/31/24.
On March 22, 2019 The Federal Trade Commission filed a Complaint for Civil Penalties, Permanent Injunction, an Other Relief. against Day Pacer, LLC a.k.a. Edutrek, LLC and it's officers Raymond Fitzgerald, Ian Fitzgerald, and David Cumming for multiple violations of the Telemarketing Act.
The FTC alleges that the defendants called millions of consumer telephone numbers that are on the National Do Not Call Registry without consumers' consent. They obtained the consumers' information from websites that claim to help them apply for jobs, health insurance, unemployment benefits, Medicaid coverage or other forms of public assistance.
